It has been a few weeks since the village arrived in the mining area. Being proficient in handworks and manual labor, the skeletal frame of a new village is slowly taking shape within the small span of time since their arrival. The "houses" that the dwarves built surrounded the entire edge of the pit, creating a basin-shape village with the mining pit at the center.
"Eh!? Why is a sentient ore helping us? Where did that come from?" One of the dwarves that were still working was astonished as he saw a scene where a sentient ore was helping in unearthing an unwanted boulder in the pit.
"I heard it is a familiar of Feihren? As for how he got acquainted with a sentient ore, don't even ask me. I definitely have no idea." Another dwarf replied.
Within the pit were Samael and Feihren, who was in his Titan armor. Both were doing the heavy lifting so the dwarves could have a more efficient way of gathering materials within this huge pit. As for why Feihren was doing such a laborious task, he really did not mind. Since he wanted to have a fair share on some of the materials that are available in the pit, he also wanted to do his fair share in the work to aid the dwarves. Feihren is clever, but not shameless enough to be a freeloader.
...
"Old chief, is there any more work to do?"
"Ah, you have done enough for today young lad, you should rest."
"Oh its fine chief, thanks." Feihren gave his sincere thanks as he continued
"Could I ask for a share of some metals in here chief? It's just so that I can try to make some magic equipment for myself" Feihren politely asked with a radiant smile of excitement.
"You're planning to make your own magic equipment eh? You're a very enthusiastic lad. That's really a good thing. And also, you can get as much as you want. You have helped us too much, so it would be a shame for us to not give back even just this much."
"Thanks, old chief."
"Ah, no problem. Anyways, you could ask me or any of the professional smiths in the village if you encounter any trouble making your equipment. I'd assume you know how to, right? You seem pretty confident from what I can see. Anyways, you could ask Old Yeshua if you have trouble regarding weapons, and Pierre if it would be regarding other equipment such as armor and items."
"Thank you, old chief. I'll keep it in mind."
With crafting on the brain, Feihren immediately planned to gather basic metals with the best quality from the deeper parts of the pit. But first, he needs to know the entirety of what he is going to be planning to create in the first place. For that, he needed to equip his subclass, [Firearms Engineer].
In real life, General Gama Feihren hadn't created his own weapons. He has a lot of experience in assembling and disassembling almost all types of weapons, and has very profound knowledge in troubleshooting the different firearms, but when it comes to creating guns from square one, Feihren has little to no idea.
But in Gaia's Paradox, having the subclass [Firearms Engineer], he could easily make one with just a blueprint and the materials required.
'Equip'>>>'Class'>>>'Subclass'>>> '[Firearms Engineer]'
"Argh!"
The next instant, a jolting pain seems to hit the head of Feihren as he was clenching his fist in agony! A 'thud' resounded, and Feihren was suddenly on his knees, heavily gasping for air as his nose started bleeding!
Feihren lost consciousness as the dwarves around him panicked in confusion on what happened and carried him to a hut closest to the pit as they tried to wake him up.
Feihren woke up after 3 days. 3 whole days!
"What was that all about?"
He was definitely unsure what happened. All he did was equip his subclass! But soon his questions were answered as a series of notifications appeared in front of him.

'Oh? It seems that my brain rebooted from all of the sudden downloads huh. Ugh, my head still hurts…' Seeing blueprints was one thing, but knowing how everything works throughout the creation process is another. Being flooded with that much information would cause anyone to faint without much of a choice in the matter.
No one would collapse in a game, where the data about the creation process are stored in the gaming gear. Unfortunately, this time he did it in real life, so the brain acted as the gaming gear this time around. It wasn't that abnormal for it to cause a little backfire when one does things that involve such a large amount of data being stored in one go.
In the days that Feihren was in a comatose state, the village was finally finished. It only took half a month for them to finish it. Talk about being proficient in their work!
By this time, Old Mendi walked in to check on Feihren.
"Oh, you're finally awake lad! You scared us quite badly! If we didn't check that you were still breathing, we would have already buried you!" Old Mendi jokingly said, followed by a boisterous laugh. A hint of worry and joy was evident in his eyes. It seems he was really worried about Feihren.
"Ah, I'm fine. It's nothing to be worried about." Feihren bowed and did not explain further as to what really happened. He excused himself as he meandered his way over to the open pit. He was greeted by the dwarves along the way.
He headed towards the deep areas of the pit which were still covered with humongous rocks. Feihren's aim was to search for the elements he needs to create an alloy. He planned to create a specially tempered steel-alloy as the base for his weapon. These authentic [Ancient] metals and elements were the base line for how good the materials Feihren was gathering were. Normally, they were harder to find considering most of them were [Epic] grade items at the least. But within this place where Sentient Ores where abundant, this was a treasure trove where you can sift through these treats like sand.
After 7 hours, Feihren finally collected the following materials: manganese, chromium, nickel, iron, tungsten, and carbon. All of these metals were for one single thing, a very durable steel alloy. Within the pile of elements were other metals that would be used for the tiny parts of the weapon. The other things such as springs and inner bolting would not really matter, as this gun would be powered by this world's magic!
[M4 Stallion Carbine]
This was the design Feihren was planning to create. Within the blueprints, he started to redesign the features so he could remove the unnecessary parts that were required when firing a standard bullet. In the future, he was planning on creating a hybrid which could utilize both magic and bullets, but for now he was creating his very first magic weapon.
On his way back to the village, Feihren blankly stared at the towering trees nearby. A sudden thought in his mind popped out. He needed one more thing, cellulite! It is used in the making of fiberglass, an extremely light and durable material that replaced the wood from those really ancient guns. Even in the year 2218, fiberglass was still one of the most reliable materials a gunsmith could use. It was made even more so with the improvement in technology. Fiberglass was extremely light and is slightly heat-resistant. With this, the plan for his first magic weapon was on its way.
It was already late in the afternoon on his return, but Feihren was so excited he couldn't put this down for the night. So he decided to go ahead and make it. Activating the subclass [Firearms Engineer], loud clanking could be heard in a makeshift blacksmithing area at the edge of the village. It was a peaceful night, but if one listened closely, they would be able to hear a little clanking from a distance. However, in a village of dwarves, this was nothing new. Thus they did not mind a single thing and slept well.
...
"It's finally done!"
The sun was starting to rise as Feihren yelled in joy and lifted the very first gun he had ever created, both in this world and his past life! (Excluding in Gaia's Paradox).
Excitedly running towards the center of the village, Feihren happily showed Old Mendi, who was coincidentally together with Old Yeshua, his creation. If anyone were to realize that Feihren's real age was actually 83, one would think it was very odd that he was still like a child enjoying his very first toy.
A few dwarves, together with Marvin, gathered around and joined in with the tiny commotion which occurred by having this human create a magic weapon within just a single night. As to how it would work, or if it would even work, everyone was anticipating it.
Feihren does not know any of the worldly spells in Nuwiell yet, but he knows that the general exp he has is a type of "spell" containing strong and pure life force. He was planning on using it as the propelling force for the gun, and the bullet itself.
Aiming at a tree from a distance, green lights started to wrap around both the barrel and his hands as it slowly condensed into a very small ball at the tip of the gun, and with the press of the trigger…
*Poof!
Contrary to everyone's expectation, the shot was almost silent in comparison to its showy glow from a moment ago. As for the sound when it landed on the tree... it was basically nonexistent! The tree didn't even take a single scratch, not even a leaf fell down from it!
"…" Everyone had blank expressions on their faces. It was an utter failure?
Feihren face started to turn disappointed as he stared at the weapon he was holding, wondering what went wrong through the process…
But in the next instant, the tree that he shot at started to grow rapidly in size! More leaves started to blossom and fruits started growing on it! It grew to about 30 meters in height, towering over the other trees around it.
"It's creation magic!" Old Mendi exclaimed as shock appeared on the faces of every spectator around this ridiculous scene.
"No, no, it's not like that!" Feihren immediately denied the claim of Old Mendi. He himself was not sure of what happened, but he was sure it shouldn't be labeled as some godly power, right? He just used some life force in his shot!
Dismissing the commotion, Old Mendi and Yeshua signaled Feihren to come talk to them privately. The other dwarves returned to their daily tasks, but they were still bothered by how Feihren could do such magic, and using a supposed "destructive" magic equipment at that.
While talking with the two senior Blacksmithing experts, Yeshua and Mendi, they discovered that instead of drawing the mana from within the planets core fountain, Feihren was actually using pure life force that came from other life forms. As to how this actually works, neither of them knows how this could happen, but upon figuring this out, they realized that it was the cause of the "creation" magic. The reason that it had sudden rapid growth was heavily due to overdosing the tree with pure life force.
The meeting with the three did not take very long. Feihren asked how to "fix" such a problem, and Old Mendi could not come up with an answer, but Yeshua suggested that he should alter the weapon itself. He said to change the "bullet" part into something destructive, but keep the life force as the propelling agent of that "bullet."
Feihren nodded as he slowly returned to the makeshift blacksmith workshop, thinking about how he could solve this dilemma of turning this "healing" gun into something destructive. To be honest, this isn't actually something bad for Feihren. He has discovered that he has a nearly godlike ability in healing which was pretty good when it comes to helping others, but it won't do any good in killing enemies. When regarding how to defend one's own life, Feihren only believed two things. First is helping your allies, and the second was to eliminate your enemies.
Casually scrolling up and down his Inventory tab to see if anything jumped out at him, Feihren stumbled upon one 'Item Ingredient' he almost forgot he had. It was the [Demonic Essence] from the ape! Hmm, 'destructive' force…
Hurriedly returning to the workshop, Feihren grabbed the [Demonic Essence] from his inventory, which appeared as a faint black sprite floating back and forth in his hands. Feihren had no idea how to incorporate this thing into the weapon, but just as his hands neared the M4 the sprite dove through its 'barrel' rod and seemingly infused itself into the weapon. The stallion mark on the weapon slowly turned in dark red and the gun itself gained a really ominous aura.
Feihren felt a familiar aura from the weapon. It felt exactly like when he first met the unstable Samael! Without pondering the phenomena for long, Feihren decided to do what he did back then, run some general exp through it. He had a little left over from some casual killing of miscellaneous beasts when they were clearing the village area when they first arrived. Feihren did not think that an inanimate object would absorb very much life energy compared to what Samael needed back then, but surprisingly it took the entire 1,000 general exp he had left! Just like that?
Feihren's hands left the gun as the ominous aura have seemed to calm down, but it could still be vaguely felt in the background…
[Carbine of the Demonic Stallion]
Feihren gazed intently at the weapon that suddenly changed its name… He felt something off about it. Nothing was mentioned on any of the blueprints about random upgrades. Could it be a unique feature in this world? Feihren dispersed those irrelevant questions for now as he attempted to pick up the weapon, when…
"WHAT IS THIS? HUMAN!!! WHAT IS THIS BODY? HOW DARE YOU!"
An angry voice suddenly shouted out from nearby! And it seems that it was coming from… the gun?!?
