Then, he lowered his gaze to the stone he held in his hands, deep in thought.
"I think I might have a guess. The Alliance Leader probably wants to get a head start."
Elder Chen said, squinting his eyes.
"What? Get a head start? What are you talking about?"
Elder Gu asked in confusion.
"Fool, by stopping those Elders from sucking up to the Wayless Sect, isn't the Alliance Leader then free to flatter them himself? That way, he has no competition."
Elder Chen shook his head and revealed his thoughts outright.
