"NingNing is coming home with me today."
Su Ning turned around to see Gu YuChen walking towards them. Unconsciously, she felt her heart skip a beat. Once again, she willed herself to wear an unaffected expression on her face, something she found more and more difficult to do where Gu YuChen was concerned.
"YuChen-ge? I thought we would meet at the next block?"
"Well I saw a rat lurking around." Gu YuChen commented with a quick glance at Lin JinYan.
"Why you!"
Incensed, Lin JinYan took a step forward to confront his rival. And Su Ning who was caught in the middle attempted to diffuse the situation by placing herself in between the two. As she was doing so, she caught sight of Lin JinYan's left hand wrapped in bandages.
"JinYan-ge! You're hurt!" Su Ning gently grabbed the man's hand. Her brows furrowed as she saw the shadow of pink around the man's palm. The wound appeared fresh.
"NingNing-ah, I'm in pain." Lin JinYan said in a whimper.
