"Allen, I'm sorry. Let's—"
Su Ning blurted out several seconds after she was seated on the corner table. When she saw the man's earnest gaze and kind consideration, Su Ning nearly lost her nerve. She took a moment to look at the freshly made souffle pancake and hot vanilla latte on the table and felt a lump forming on her throat. 'This man really cares for me. I… I must really be a bad girl… Why am I hesitating right now?'
"Karina, I…" Allen suddenly spoke, reaching out to grab her hand on the table. He didn't like how things were looking.
'Is she possibly… intending to.. No way right? Things were going so well.'
"No.. no let me go first," Su Ning sheepishly interrupted, evading his hand. She knew if she let him speak now, she might cowardly turn back on her decision. So after a quick breath to steady herself, she said the words she'd been meaning to say.
"Allen, let's break up."
"What?" Allen had a stunned look on his face.
