Chapter 5 - Saving People

Hades quickly calmed down. Now was not the time to be complacent.

The apocalypse was still full of dangers. What he needed the most now was to continue getting stronger!

But before he left the campus, he had to get rid of Bossel.

He followed the trail of Bossel's group. They had already entered the cafeteria, and a large number of zombies were attracted behind them.

They had abandoned almost half of the people before entering the cafeteria, and those who had been abandoned had become zombies' food.

These people had also attracted hundreds of zombies to gather in front of the cafeteria, but they had also blocked the cafeteria door, so the zombies couldn't enter.

Because the zombies blocked the cafeteria door, Hades couldn't enter the cafeteria for the time being.

He didn't have the ability to kill so many zombies at once.

Hades knew that he was only a mortal. Even if he could kill more than ten zombies at once, more zombies would pounce on him in an instant.

As soon as he was bitten by a zombie, he might turn into a zombie. He couldn't get hurt.

That was why he didn't dare to bet that he wouldn't get hurt.

It was almost dark. Hades could only let them go for now and look for other opportunities.

There was a teaching building not far from the cafeteria. Hades thought that he should hide in the building first.

At night, the zombies would become even crazier. Some of the electrical circuits in the campus had been cut off.

At night, the entire campus was pitch-black.

Hades didn't have dark vision yet, so it would be extremely dangerous at night.

He didn't dare to take the risk and still went to hunt zombies at night.

He could only retreat to the teaching building where there were fewer zombies and search for other survivors.

Before Hades reached the teaching building, he heard someone shouting from the window on the second floor of the teaching building, "Stop! Stop!"

Some of the senior students were holding crossbows in their hands. It seemed that they were used to deal with zombies.

But at this moment, they were aiming at Hades.

"I'm a student. I came from the dormitory building. I want to hide in the building for a night!" Hades said.

"We don't welcome new students here! Go somewhere else, or I'll shoot!"

"Why? We're all students of this school!" Hades couldn't believe it.

"The zombie virus is contagious. Who knows if you have the zombie virus! We can't trust you, so we can only ask you to leave!"

Hades also knew that if he was bitten by a zombie, he would definitely be infected. The zombie's blood also had the virus, but as long as it didn't infect his wound, he would be fine.

Hades looked at himself. Part of his clothes were stained with the black blood of zombies. It was no wonder that the people in the school building didn't trust him.

No one was willing to let a person who might become a zombie into their territory.

With Hades's current strength, he could force his way in, but there might be traps inside, so he couldn't gain their trust.

If he couldn't be trusted, he might not even be able to sleep at night.

"I'm not infected. I killed some zombies," Hades took out his knife and said, "I can help you. I have food too."

Hades took out his backpack and opened it. It was full of canned bread and mineral water.

Seeing the food, the students were also tempted. It could be seen that they were very nervous about food. There were zombies outside. If they only stayed in one place, the food would be eaten up sooner or later.

Some of them seemed to be discussing, but were also very hesitant.

After about ten minutes, someone shouted to hades, "If you can do us a favor, we can let you in."

"What?"

"Our teacher took some people to the cafeteria to look for food. But for some reason, a group of zombies gathered outside the cafeteria. "Can you think of a way to bring the teachers back? "If you can successfully bring the teachers back to the school building, we will open the door for you."

"Is Julia in the cafeteria?" Hades suddenly mentioned a name.

This name had an extraordinary meaning to Hades. Only she would stand up and help Hades when other senior students bullied him.

So Hades always remembered Julia. Sometimes he would secretly take pictures of Julia. In his eyes, Julia was so beautiful.

The only picture Hades ever taken that won a photography award was of Julia. She didn't know who took the pictures of her, but when Julia's picture appeared on the cover of a magazine, Julia was happy.

At that time, Hades was also happy, but he only peeked at it secretly and never dared to express his feelings.

"She is also in the cafeteria."

After getting an affirmative answer from the students, Hades turned around without any hesitation and headed toward the cafeteria.

On the way, several zombies rushed out. These zombies looked like dead students, and their flesh was beginning to rot. They seemed to be shouting something, but their vocal cords were gone, and only the sound of the wind like a ghost could be heard.

Hades didn't dare to be careless, so he raised his saber and rushed forward again.

Now, his running speed was far faster than those zombies. With his weapon and saber skills, he was more confident.

From hiding to taking the initiative to attack, he had improved a lot.

His saber easily cut off the arms of the zombies, but those zombies didn't feel any pain. Even if they lost an arm, they would still attack Hades.

They were more ferocious than wild beasts. The army of the undead seemed to be taking revenge on the living, dragging the living into hell without caring about anything else!

However, Hades was different now. He was fearless in the face of the zombies. He swung his blade left and right, and the sangs fell one after another.

Attribute balls fell on their bodies.

"Perception + 5."

"Vitality + 3."

Hades picked up the attribute balls, and the attributes changed again.

"Hades (mortal)
