It didn't take us long to leave the forest, but when I looked back, I can already clearly see the column of black smoke created by the fire I caused more to my luck. forest around the cabin and I won't be responsible for extra paperwork.
During the trip I was able to get a better look at the loot and prisoners being transported as cargo, and when I say loot, I don't mean the two crystal bags or the leather wallet which contains many golden cards which have been making me a little nervous.
Obviously, I'm behaving normally, but for some reason I feel like the crest bag is getting heavier and the cards seem ready to slip out of my armor. And I'm sensing it and not even being actively watched by Raven who seems to know about my and Volkan's moves, I should focus on something more useful than thinking about my gains.
The cult members who are still alive and being transported by the see consist of an earth elemental mage, a healer mage, and a death warrior, all of whom have a green core at or near the final stage.
The life element mage who should be responsible for purifying the lit death element or who tried to leave the room is still in the middle stage, but it should lack a little push or she accumulates energy for another two months or three for her to be able to advance.
But unfortunately for her I doubt that is possible now, I think the most likely reality for her is to end up dead after being interrogated by some templar or bishop of the temple of the goddess Helena.
I believe I can deduce why the life elemental mage and earth elemental mage were spared, obviously she is very useful for masking the tracks of the main cult members and the mage must be skilled in creating and maintaining underground structures.
It is quite obvious that they can be a huge source of information about your cult's operation, even if they are not fully informed by their superiors, they must have a lot of incomplete information about the cult's operations. By creating a study of their cult experiences, investigators should be able to uncover numerous
But I'm not sure about the death element warrior's presence, I highly doubt he's some kind of proof or victim as the body of what I believe to be the cult leader is being carried by Taric, who is using his light element. to reinforce the blanket's restrictive characteristics that are preventing the rest of the mana and death element his body possesses from being harmful to the environment.
I may not know who the leader of this cult base is, but the templars obviously will. Almost all figures in a leading position or who have slightly more unique or simply different characteristics then on the temple elimination list.
A death element mage who has such harmful elemental energy should obviously have a rating of dangerous or risk to civilians and the environment, but that doesn't explain why a green core warrior is being taken to the templars.
It is very clear to me that he has no connection with the mage who led the base, his death element and body show that he chose a completely different path than his leader.
From a distance I can see that he had several parts of his body modified by not so competent necromancers, the amount of mana these implants and modifications have is quite high showing that the necromancer in charge was not skilled enough to create them without using a large amount of mana or materials containing a large amount of mana.
A warrior can only use mana as food for his core and that mana has to have come from nature and not have come from a mage, both are mana but a mage cannot serve as a battery for a mage, as far as I know not the nor a type of art that can unite mana and aura in a correct way.
What is normal is to mix or even completely unite the elemental energy of the warrior with the elemental energy of the environment that is usually united a good amount of mana, but the relationship between the energies of the warrior and the environment is made by the elemental energy and not by mana and aura.
That warrior would have to spend many years to be able to clear that mana from his cup and make these new parts overpowered by his aura, doing it too quickly would damage the enhancements. This shows how much the necromancer responsible for his changes and an ordinary and incompetent necromancer, an important warrior of the cult would receive help from someone competent.
Even I can see that the amount of mana that this warrior's body has shown how incompetent the necromancer was using materials full of mana to make it easier for him or he had to spend a lot of mana to mold the materials into the warrior's body.
The more a necromancer relies on his elemental energy to create modifications to a warrior's body, the less serious time it takes for him to assimilate the enhancements.
But all this information is the basis for my suspicions, this warrior obviously doesn't seem important to me the more I analyze him the less special he seems, but Raven seems determined to take him prisoner.
She is even carrying him on her mount, this place represents that among the three prisoners this warrior is the most valuable. And one thing I'm sure Raven wouldn't waste her time on a worthless cultist, the hatred she has for them makes any suspicion involving pity, pity, or other such motivations ridiculous.
Even now during the trip she has her attention turned to several books taken from the base of the cult besides the bound and gagged warrior who is strapped to the back of his mount, a tedious read, but one that she does without stopping or getting distracted. For the past hour it has been Mia who has been keeping watch and looking for a messenger, it seems that before Volkan and I finished exploring the base a secret message was sent from Raven.
This is another sign that something is different from normal, sending a message at a time like this is very dangerous and doesn't make much sense since our future destination is a base of our kingdom or a temple of the goddess Helena.
Why risk our location or the information in the message, when we are going to a safe place where those risks have diminished by a large margin. What kind of information or discussion is so important for Raven to take that kind of risk? And the fact that she didn't do that until after Volkan and I went down means that the reason for all this didn't come until after the interrogation or she'd read some of the documents or massages taken from the lair.
Perhaps she found something very valuable in my records kept by the leader of this cult base, after all any documents coming from him and his office would be extremely important and secret cult information. But Raven didn't say anything about it to the entire team, which isn't weird since this is a secret matter, but it would be normal for her to make some comments or give an order that would serve as a clue as to what's going to happen.
If we'd ended up in my dangerous situation, Raven would have told everyone to keep their guard up or expect to be ambushed. If it's important information, she would have accelerated the march so we can get to a safe place in less time, but she didn't make either of these two most common options.
I think I'm being too paranoid.
During the next few hours reality proved me wrong, all the way there was not an attack or changes in our path. Even after getting the massage, she'd been waiting for, Raven didn't even give a new order or change an old one.
This should be reassuring but it just made me more uncomfortable and from Volkan and Milena's behavior they have the same concern as mine, is the rest of the team calm or am I just not used to their auras and mana enough to realize that they are nervous or not.
But this routine came to an end when we left the forest and entered a small valley far from the road and the city of Canos, to my surprise I could only see the group that was waiting for us a few meters before they entered the team's field of vision.
I hate this mission, how many more times will people escape my eyes?
A very large group awaits us, and from Raven and Mia's lack of reaction combined with the golden flame addressed in the ornate robe worn by the mage I believe to be a bishop, I think we've found the members of the goddess Helena's church.
How did they get here so fast.
