The smell of blood filled the entire cabin, blood splattered on the walls on either side of the cabin. Ana didn't really hold back when she started hitting Mitus, taking out all of her anger.
A blow landed on the right side of Mitus' face causing him to spit out a good amount of blood and three teeth, he'll be completely toothless if he doesn't change his attitude.
"Are you going to start talking or are we going to get on with it? I think I'm tired of getting my hands dirty, Wolf, you can start electrocuting the idiot."
When Ana took a cloth to wipe the blood off her hands, I started walking towards Mitus while creating some arcs of purple electricity between my hands.
"Do I start with his head or will I burn the ends of his body and end in his heart?"
"We can't kill him so start with the extremities and avoid hitting his heart, burn his other organs first because they are easier to fix later."
Before Mitus could speak he had to spit the blood that had pooled in his mouth, but because of that he didn't have time to stop me from electrocuting him. I followed Ana's orders, I also don't think it would be a good idea to damage his brain or heart.
I used several arcs of concentrated electricity to scorch his left hand as the agonizing, shrill scream erupts from Mitus. He started to struggle violently, the aura he still had inside his glass flowed in an inharmonious way to his hand in a futile attempt to protect his hand.
I aimed half beams concentrated at the bones of Mitus' hand; I didn't intend to barbecue him but to cause pain so I avoided burning his flesh. I don't know how to target their nerves, but a bolt of lightning in his bones must have a similar effect from the way he's writhing in pain.
"It's enough, Wolf. Will you cooperate or will you continue this futile resistance, Mitus?"
I stopped the arcs of electricity leaving behind a hand that started to have its flesh charred, as I aimed at their bones caused by taking out the entry points of the electric arcs which will burn at a very high level.
Most of the damage he does is inside your hand which is emitting smoke and a smell of burning flesh, despite not being able to see it I'm sure the bones in your hand broke into countless different pieces and that damage must have passed. for the rest of his arm bones, I wouldn't be surprised that even his shoulder bones were damaged by my electricity.
With the stamina and defense of his physical body alone, Mitus has resisted my attack very well. I spent a fifth of my elemental energy on him in that short time, a warrior in the final stage of the green core and actually much stronger than me they are in the linear to break through the first great limit of the intelligent races.
An orange core fighter is a lifeform on a different level than a green core fighter.
"Bloody hell, you destroyed my hand! You wretched brat!"
"Finished? I want to know about the necromancer! How did you meet him, Mitus, speak now or he will start to burn your other hand!"
"He came to me; an order was left with one of our trading partners!"
"Is this normal for your ilk? Who was this trading partner?"
"He's nothing more than a small salesman selling stolen goods, he has no idea who left a message at his store. If he had known he was a necromancer he would not have passed the message on to our group, he would have run to the nearest temple to ask the priests for protection."
"You seem to care about this salesman, what's his name?"
"Mills from Queno City, he's not important. He received a message with a request to find a group of bandits with the ability like ours, if we weren't idle then we wouldn't be doomed now."
"The meeting was set up in a safe room in an ordinary inn, at that time I had no idea that that mage was a necromancer. We accepted a contract to set up this base and provide goods for it, it was just that, no big deal."
"It's useless to try to play the victim now, Mitus. Is the necromancer a woman?"
"Yes, I thought she wanted this base as a platform to attack the north of her kingdom, I thought we were just doing the dirty work for one of the kingdoms that will go to war with hers."
It makes a lot of sense, if a group of criminals making a base in the north is discovered, it won't raise much question. The overwhelming majority would believe that this is nothing more than a temporary and temporary base for a smuggling route, unfortunately for them Keni made records about the identity of his contractor causing us to discover that this base has a much more sinister purpose.
"Count all the interactions you've had with the necromancer, don't leave one out or I'll ask Wolf to start burning your internal organs one at a time!"
"I'll tell! After I accepted the job at our first meet where she dared an uncreative alias, she introduced herself as Green. I didn't find anything wrong with it, it was all normal like any job I've taken before."
"After that I met her twice more, the first time to get the base plans and the rune arrangements that should be used here, but in our group, there is not even a runemaster capable of making that many rune arrangements. Because of that on the second visit she brought an associate of hers that we were supposed to protect and bring in even to create all the runic arrangements."
"Who was this rune master?"
"I don't know he never even gave a name or felt like using a fake one, the entire trip he kept his identity hidden. I know he was a man from his body shape and he had a husky voice, he was covered in several layers of clothes and bandages most of them were black in color, he spoke as little as possible and didn't even have an unnecessary interaction with anyone. "
"Did he make all these runic arrangements by himself?"
"Yea."
"How much time did he spend?"
"He basically worked without a break for four days to finish everything."
"What level is needed to be able to do this, Wolf?"
Complicated question.
"He's much better than I am, but he's still a long way from being a person worthy of being called a master. He probably has a very high experience to be able to make so many types of runic arrangements without having to completely interconnect them in such a short space of time, the older he is the less talent he has as a mage, but his likely limit is making a matrix simple runic."
"That doesn't do much to identify him."
"No, and even if a rune master studies these rune arrangements to discover a signature or style and myth it is difficult to find another work by the same rune craftsman. He probably works a lot with criminals so he shouldn't leave even an easy trail to identify him, an idiot couldn't do the job he did here."
"Great, Mitus keep talking. What happened after the runic arrangements were made."
"The mage left after we arrived in a village across the border. After that was when I found out who we were working for, she came down to the base to see if everything was ok."
"She inspected everything and had me sign a black contract to keep the existence of this base a secret and bring the rest of the orders she needed. That's when I realized something was wrong, she asked for a lot of slaves. When she had asked for food and saddles, she didn't call my attention because that would be normal, but when she asked for slaves of specific races in large numbers, I knew she had something wrong."
"I started asking about her and her intentions and found out that the name she gave me Green was no more than half her name. She was a somewhat notorious criminal known as Green Crow, she has killed many people as an assassin and robbed several different business consortia."
Well, the necromancer is quite famous since a common smuggler got information about her. The intelligence network of the kingdom and the temples shouldn't find it too difficult to locate those who have had any contact or business with her in the past, it won't be long before they start hunting her.
"Did you confront her with uncovered salt?"
"No, I'm not suicidal, but she made it very clear that she knew I was suspicious of her cover. She told me to be very careful with my tongue or I might end up dead to still be of use to her. I took her hint to keep my mouth shut."
"But as far as I know Keni found out her identity too. How did this happen?"
"So it was that coward who screwed up, he must have figured out her identity the same way I did after all he knew exactly what kind of merchandise, she asked for the base to be filled."
"And after that did you think it would be interesting to smuggle between the realms using this base?"
"Yes, I have to earn some money to run as far from here as possible. I don't know what the fuck this necromancer is going to do here, but I know it's not good, after she messes up in the north the templars will search all aria for any trace of the necromancer, and it won't be hard to find out that my group is involved with the necromancer."
"Stupid garbage."
A punch hit Mitus in the face again. Ana really enjoys hitting him."
"Do you have anything else to say about the necromancer or is that all?!"
"His eyes were light green. I do not know anything else."
Looks like the necromancer is quite careful, I don't reveal much to this idiot, but it was still enough to screw her.
"Don't lie to me! When will you meet her again?!"
"I do not know! It is she who makes the appointments, not me."
"Trash."
Ana started hitting him again.
It looks like Mitus' life will end with him disfigured.
