Chapter 335 - First mission.

"Our mission is quite simple, we are going to track down and eliminate the fire hammer criminal group they are led by a green core criminal warrior in the final stage, his name is fire hammer Mitus. As you can deduct from his main element and the fire element, we don't know if he has another one, but as we always have to keep our guard up, think he has one to two extra elements."

If the leader of this criminal group already has the same level as the leader, so our problem is if they have more people with the green core. It is unlikely that another green core will act in the final stage, but it is still quite possible that one to three people with a green nucleus will act in the initial stage.

In this type of group, the leader does not let someone who has the same level of power act as him, having someone with power close to his is asking to be betrayed and killed by his subordinates. Criminals tend to be grouped by benefits and fear the power of their leader, a leader who cannot resist the betrayal of one to three underling's risks being killed the moment they steal a large amount of money or precious items.

"We leave tomorrow morning and head through the matrix to the northern region of the kingdom; this criminal group appears to be creating or has already created a smuggling route. They must have chosen the north because they believe that most of the kingdom's forces will be stationed in the rest of the kingdom's territory and not in the northern region."

"Smart of them, but unfortunately for them one of the informants in the neighboring kingdom discovered some clues about their plans, don't hold back during the fight against the bandits. We must kill them all except for the leader and vice leader who appears to be a spear wielder of the shadow element, how I will hold their leader it will be up to Carmilla to fight the vice leader of the bandits."

"The rest of the bad guys will have to be killed by the rest of the team, this can seem complicated depending on how many criminals there are, but this is the strategy for direct combat. Before starting combat, I believe we will have a chance to ambush them or even destroy their hideout by force, depending on what situation we are in when we encounter the criminals."

"Any questions about this easy mission?"

This time it was Carmilla who raised her hand faster. Fim hesitated too much to raise his hand.

"How should we behave about the goods that smugglers have?"

"We already want to make some extra money, what a mercenary, but I like that attitude. Try not to destroy anything that looks expensive like jars containing herbs or liquids, but also watch out for hazardous materials I don't want an explosion to happen in my fight because some idiot set fire to explosive or unstable materials."

"I didn't mean that we should steal contraband from bandits. I meant should we try to preserve the contraband or should we focus on killing the bad guys."

"Of course, that must be the thought of a soldier who knows that contraband must be turned over to the military. As all of you must be smart enough to know that you must kill the bandits and avoid destroying the contraband, you are elite mages and warriors all capable of doing that."

The leader's response Ana started the response with an evil smile that was full of sarcasm, irony and double meaning she wants the contraband for us. And she ended up stating that we are all smart and capable of stealing contraband without screwing up.

"But something? If not, all of you are dismissed."

Unfortunately, Fim raised his hand."

"What was the End?"

"We shouldn't spend the rest of the day getting to know the other team members. A practical training to get a better idea of the styles of each member, the explanation about us was very simple."

"Was? I thought she was complete enough. I won't force you to train together now, but I won't stop either. So, if you want to hit this duct well, as long as you don't get really hurt, I'm going out because I want to enjoy my last free day in the capital, if you don't feel compelled to train a lot because the mission to kill the bad guys is there for you arrest to be a group in practice."

"I'm leaving, until tomorrow morning at the military base in room three on the first floor of building C. Building C is the dark green building, when we meet there, you should be completely ready rations, ammunition, travel equipment and all your combat equipment has everything ready to go north."

With that the leader Ana left the room and left.

The momentary silence was broken when Fim asked a stupid question.

"Do any of you want to train to be more prepared to work as a team during the mission?"

"No."

"Useless."

"I have other commitments."

"I have no interest."

"I'm a mage that's useless."

"I work as a support for the team."

"I don't mind hitting you."

The only one who wants to have fun beating up the End and Carmilla, but he still has a bit of a reason we don't know each other very well. The team started to get up to leave, but I decided to interrupt them, I feel the need to talk to them a little more.

"Calm down person, I don't think we're done with this meeting yet, we still have some things to discuss."

I stand in front of the door barring anyone who wants to leave the room.

"Are you already playing the leader? The real leader hasn't even left the building yet."

"My shameless."

Seems like Abel and Tania don't like me, don't worry. But I have to admit that I expected worse or insulting comments than just a few penetrating looks.

"No need to get so pissed off, I just need you to sit down for another five minutes ten at most so we can wrap up this meeting. Our lovely leader Ana left behind something very important, a simple question with a simple answer, will you listen to me or will you break through the wall and run away?"

After a moment's hesitation they all sat down again, but Carmilla had to make a childish threat.

"Hopefully it's important or I'm not only going to have a 'fight' with Fim, I'm going to drag you in too."

What a terrifying threat. Proud bitch.

"We have to know a very important type of information from all team members before we go out on a mission, I want you all to tell us what kind of skill or knowledge you have taking away from your combat skills. It can be anything useful that makes you stand out, I don't care if you guys know how to cook or set up a temporary shelter in the woods, but knowing if you can't even cook will be good information to have too."

"I will be the first, as a tracker it is obvious that I have a good knowledge of minerals and herbs, but what stands out to me is my skills in the rune field. I can both craft many types of rune arrays and as I deal with our enemies' rune arrays, I specialize in making and using explosive rune arrays."

"I also learned quite a bit about apostles and believers of evil gods, but it's still a little superficial knowledge but it's still more than it would be normal for someone who doesn't specialize in this area to know, who's next?"

Looks like they got my point, not a stupid comment is coming out of their mouths.

"Nobody? Okay, am I going to pick someone, Quinn, out of any useful knowledge you have that can be used during missions?"

"No, I focused on improving my terrain manipulation skills. I was never very good at offensive spells, but manipulating my elements in a natural form has always been easier for me."

"I learned quite a bit about healing and poisonous herbs, my family has a good affinity for the light element so if I were a mage, I would probably use this kind of knowledge to use reeds with my magic, to be a good healer. I know quite a bit about first aid that uses herbs, medicine, my light element and a few more items combined to treat wounds."

"Well, since I don't fear a healer on the team, your skills can be very useful at a critical moment. Try not to be the one who needs medical attention, so no targeting your head or important organs, okay?"

"Somebody else?"

Unfortunately, silence dominated the meeting room.

"Okay, I'm not asking you to have skills like Abel or me. But as we have someone who knows a little about the healing arts, I think it's important that we help him have the materials necessary to save our lives, if necessary, Abel, I want you to make a list of items that it would be good for us to take along with our luggage that can be used to save our lives. It is not together that you carry all the material to so many people, make a list so that everyone will copy and after that the meeting is over."

So, our last day in the capital ended after everyone had a shopping list, to various normal items like bandages and some healing herbs that I know of, but there are some herbs and some eyes that I don't know. It seems that Abel is skilled in the art of healing which is a major flaw on our team.

But I still have to admit that I'm a little frustrated that the rest of the team hasn't studied any other useful knowledge.
