Chapter 243 - First week.

The start of training camp was more or less what I expected, much of my day was occupied with tests and simple challenges, it seems that before this part of the deadly test started the examiners decided to do a comprehensive and detailed analysis of all. students who are participating and this is not an easy task. I thought this part would take time because of the number of students, but I was wrong not to have so many students here.

I thought that the camp would have more than a thousand students, but the number barely reaches four hundred students more than half of the students are from the south and central region of the kingdom, the rest of the kingdom has very few students who managed to pass the last stage of their tests. I have always been told that the genies in the central region are stronger than in the rest of the kingdom, but from what I could see taking out the fifteen strongest students in the central region who are really strong more than one of them already has a green core. , the difference between me and this type of person is huge, but when I compare myself with the rest of the students I saw in the central region I'm not that weak, in fact I had to beat up several 'geniuses' in the capital for cause of the tents.

As I had noticed the day I arrived here, there were not enough tents for the students, so when the number of students passed the number of tents, fights started to be fought for the right to have one of the tents, but there was no bloodshed serious or death in these fights. Weapons were prohibited as well as killing or claiming your opponents, but for me these are just advantages as my unarmed fighting skills are well above average among the students, but after a week most students who had no experience of unarmed combat, they've had plenty of time to take unarmed combat lessons and lots of practice, so students who didn't know about unarmed combat before are now at the level they could fight at Captain Raven's club.

It's funny that in a realm I was born with that doesn't have a strong unarmed combat tradition, I end up getting the upper hand over and over again because of the unarmed combat skills and art I've learned. Perhaps I was born at a time when unarmed combat is becoming popular again, but I wonder why it has become so unpopular in the first place to unarmed combat and the last defense any warrior has for his entire life. nor carry a hidden knife just to never be completely unarmed.

My stage is unfortunately inferior to most as I'm still in the early gray core stage, even though now I'm about to break through my core is at the limit for a few days, but I'm hoping to get enough momentum to build up to break through to the next stage naturally, with the betrayal I'm doing I'll break in a few days which is good because at the end of the second week the missions will start.

But from what I've heard from the examiners the first batches of quests are quests that must be done right here in the region, and the groups to do those quests are something that every student will have to do for himself. Temporary groups will only be set up after the second week, I wonder how much bad luck I will have during group formations.

The classes I had to take were a more aggressive and focused version than the classes I had at the institute, but aside from the act they were taught in my nature room rather than a closed room or deserted training ground. But the instructors are quite competent, they are all veteran adventurers or members of the army with a long career, but in the end, I didn't feel much difference in their teaching either.

After going through all this I realized why so many students from the southern region than the eastern and western region of the kingdom, the level of education in the south is much better than other arias in the kingdom apart from the capital. The teacher can be hated and criticized by many nobles and government officials, but no one can deny that she has the results to prove that her teaching strategy is very effective.

I am more and more surprised when I find out how the lives of students at other institutes are, unfortunately I don't have Erick's help to collect all the information that must be exchanged between students. With my inferior abilities I can only learn a few things about the lives of students from other regions of the kingdom, most of the information I got was listening to others talk rather than trying to talk to strangers.

Guess I don't have much of a future in the arias like infiltration or using too many social skills and hard to listen to the nonsensical shit that young nobles love to waste their time, I can't pretend I care about how amazing they get a decorated saddle for his mount, at the last ball the dress of that other noblewoman without a brain was very pretty and expensive enough that an entire set of level three armor from an adventurer would seem like a small purchase or whoever is the prettiest nobleman among the cape's students, only after hearing so much shit like that did I realize how lucky I am to have Hilda by my side, talking to her is much easier and she can be a noblewoman who understands that kind of thinking and even appreciates some flowers, but she still prefer something more practical like a weapon and armor or some precise resource as a gift for her or , I will try to spend as little time as possible training this kind of skill in fu of course.

But because of everything I heard I realized how much the teaching level of the institutes in the west and east of the kingdom are very safe, in their institute there is not even a chance of being killed, maimed or extremely injured that is why the students not so dedicated. Unfortunately, I couldn't learn much from the capital's students most of them are walking between the cheap tents and the buckets of shit and piss that are in the open as they are parading through the 'clean' streets of the capital, I think most of them only have one level high in strength because it consumes a very large number of resources from your family members your fighting skills or elemental arts are not much better than my peers.

The traditions that in the southern region are common among the nobles as for the adventurers seem not to be used as much in the other arias of the kingdom, the nobles don't have to fight so hard for the resources they need after awakening their core or like the adventurers don't have that going through a blood baptism and a good chance of dying like the one, I did in the dungeon is bleak. In summary, lack of possibility of death makes young people in those regions of the realm softer and they have an unwillingness to get stronger quickly.

But the biggest problem this week was the mages, because neither one of them is very athletic and the tent rules are the same for mages and warriors, but of course mages can only fight other mages and not warriors because it would be a little ridiculous to see a wizard trying to defeat a warrior in unarmed combat. But Hilda discovered a loophole that shouldn't work, the only reason the examiners didn't scold or punish Hilda was because they probably thought it was funny or that the idiot deserved to get spanked and so new rules were born.

A fat mage tried to take advantage of his overweight in order to win the unarmed combat against other mages, he was quite disgusting and idiotic because he tried to fight Ingredi and he had lewd thoughts that he espouses in his speech before the fight, maybe it was just a strategy to intimidate his opponent and he had no intention of carrying out his threats, but that didn't stop Hilda from breaking his knee in a kick turning him into a stranded bullet before the fight started, the fight wasn't a big challenge for Ingredi who only had to hit the stranded ballet with his iron staff a few feces for him to give up.

I was quite surprised when not even one examiner confronted Hilda for assaulting the fat wizard, I don't think one of the examiners had the courage to try to help the fat one or everyone agreed that he deserved a lesson so that he would never again try to say what he said to Ingredi .

But after this episode the mages basically earned the right to a champion or champion who should fight on their behalf so he could steal or defend one of the stalls, I found that a little weird but it worked well for Ingredi who used Hilda or me as his defender so he wouldn't lose his tent. I didn't mind that because the other fighters weren't a real challenge to my skills, but I've had some tough fights at the end of the first week.

Among the students it was created a sort of classification of the tents that were identical, but that was just an excuse for the students to fight with other students that they had a problem or that they simply wanted to prove that they were stronger. I don't know if the examiners prefer this, but more than two hundred fights a day over the use of the tents.

So, it's not a surprise that I have to fight more than ten students a day to keep possession of my tent or Ingredi's. It was cool at first because it was good practice, but now it's starting to get irritating I go in to meditate or rest there's an idiot screaming in front of my tent calling me to fight him for the tent and usually these students already have a tent, it's starting to get annoying and that's probably another examiner strategy to push students to the limit.

With the end of the first week most of the students who arrived relaxed at camp are now much dirtier and more irritated with their new reality.
