I didn't expect my day to start like this, I was so sure it would be a quiet day as the test didn't seem too complicated for me and I had planned not to stand out during the test, a slightly above average grade was my goal.
But now I'm waiting for the rune matrix to get ready to transfer students to random locations within the emerald forest as it should be, but unfortunately my situation is far from normal or maybe this is my true normal, it's not the first time I've been screwed in an audition, in reality every audition that has the director's finger I screw myself when facing annoying and complicated challenges.
Although I still don't know who was the real culprit for my current predicament and I have to focus on getting through the test without getting seriously hurt by some of my pursuers, but I've decided that after the test I'll go after the person who threw me into that one. damn cave labyrinth during the first test, even if I don't physically wrestle with her, I intend to manage to extort some things from her by my silence or I'll give her name to the Eliure family. Let's see how she handles the Eliure family.
The rune matrix that I am lights up following me, but before I could shield my eyes, I felt my body being moved, it was a different feeling than I'm used to, I felt I was being thrown with enormous force, but when I opened my eyes, I was standing on mine in the forest. Shifting through a matrix was a really different experience to shifting within an illusory matrix.
The first thing I did after recovering from the displacement was to use my eyes to study my surroundings, the environment around me is very different from normal, the teachers and rune masters struggled on this test, on my return to a made dome. with different mana and elemental energies, it was very colorful, but it didn't stop me from seeing that after it there were several other matrices, without using my eye abilities, it felt like I was in a normal and endless forest, it seems like the barrier of the matrix is not only a simple barrier it seems that it is also there to mislead students about matrix size.
Since the air, land and forest vegetation is normal, there is no animal or magical beast within this rune matrix, it seems that I was lucky to appear in a matrix not geared towards combat. As my only weapons are my bare hands and feet, the boot I'm wearing will be shattered the first kick I use my aura or elemental energy, cheap clothes are really inconvenient.
A flash of light forms over my head, and as I look up, I see an infamous origami, I hope the person behind it is different than the one in the last test, a swan lands on my hand and unfolds.
'Welcome to the labyrinth of rune matrices, for each matrix resolved you will earn a number of points equivalent to the level of the matrix and how well you solved it, in your first test you will have to survive the attack of several magical animals of level one while you are looking for the exit of this matrix, the door is hidden and the only way to release it is to find one of the switches scattered inside the matrix. The switches can be anything, to activate them you have to destroy them, good luck and don't try to die, unarmed boy, I've already helped you enough on your first test, it's supposed to be level one and two animals.
When I finished reading and the paper caught fire, I am sure of some things, I am being watched by the same person from the last test and she is already trying to pay her debt for getting me in trouble, but I still intend to try to take advantage of the guilt from her, but now I better find one of those switches before I get attacked by the magical animals.
I look for any different mana among the trees or over the grass, the switch must have a different mana from the environment it must be a mix of colors equal to the barrier that is surrounding me. Yeah, I'm absolutely right, up in one of the trees to a gain that contains a mana and elemental energy that makes it glow in a colorful way.
They stand out, but before I go there, I notice that the two more switches in different places in the forest, it looks like more than one way out of the matrix. It looks like this is really some kind of maze the other arrays must have more than one input and output.
Most people would have to rely on luck and randomly navigate the maze, but maybe I can use my vision to find the exits I want in each matrix and thus navigate in one direction only until I get out of the maze, but now I would have to find out in which direction is the exit from the matrix maze.
Upon breaking the sixth wolf's neck I notice that the matrix is opening at some points to let more animals in, but unfortunately for her I have already moved closer to one of the switches. I jump up using the tree trunk as a platform to climb faster in the direction I want, breaking the branch that is glowing like a defective rainbow, the branch doesn't have all the colors of a rainbow it only has four colors, the passage forms on the wall closest to min.
It looks like the key opens the nearest door, I just hope to find more tests like these, while I was killing the wolves, I couldn't identify a landmark that would allow me to find the direction out of the forest so I'm just going to insist on a single direction, at some point I must be able to reach a final matrix and exit the maze. I just hope I'm not heading towards the center of the maze; it would be very irritating to have to traverse the entire maze from one end to the other.
Over the next few hours, I went through several different matrices, there were some that worked the same way as the first one, but most were different, I had to solve puzzles, I had to identify resources in several different rooms, kill specific animals in my de others without killing any other animal than its target, this was a particularly difficult test if I had my bow, it would have been very easy, but unfortunately, I don't have it. In the room I'm in now I've just done an obstacle course where the obstacles were pretty sharp and sharp, but right now I'm taking a break for my lunch.
I had my purse confiscated at the beginning of the exam by the three stooges, but I got lucky in the rooms where I had to identify herbs, put some fruit in mine to fool students and during the last room, I'm carrying a body part of a small wild boar that kills by cutting its neck. I'm carrying the fruit and the meat in my makeshift backpack made of skins I pulled from the animals and lined with leaves.
It's a very poor and badly palmed craft work, for any leather craftsman my work should be considered rubbish, but I'm happy with it, I've never gone too deep into fur handbag craft where your only tool is your hands and a wind blade. I also wouldn't spend a lot of time making a bag when I can steal one from a student, well that's what was going through my head when I took the bag, but strangely I haven't even found a student, even after going through dozens of matrixes I'm sure my maze speed is high.
I've been traveling through the matrix maze for hours; I should have been lucky enough to find a weak student or unlucky enough to have encountered one of the elves who seem to have been designed to hurt me during this test. I think it's too much of an exaggeration, I'm already unarmed and that should be enough for me to fail the test, because having your family members and associates hurt me during the test.
Was the elemental fairy that valuable? If she was a real treasure, they shouldn't have put her inside a staff in mine from a trap cave! I'm getting screwed over someone else's mistakes and it bothers me a lot.
As I ate my early lunch, I have no idea what time it is exactly when I enter the matrix the sun has disappeared, only its light illuminates evenly within the matrixes. I can't blame them for doing this, if the sun was in the sky, it would be very easy to find the direction out of the matrix and it would make all students try to run in the same direction, and of course this only applied to students who understood like navigating the labyrinth, without my eyes i think i would have a lot of difficulty doing that, the matrix has some illusory effects that subtly interfere with the navigation senses of the students.
When I was finishing roasting my meat on my fire, I felt the mana from the matrix being disturbed, on one side of the matrix a door if I opened it is someone must be passing through the new door. Did it have to be now?
