Chapter 114 - Second time in the bloody arena.

The last few hours I walked were really tiring, right now I'm sitting in a restaurant resting and drinking a cold and delicious beer. I'm enjoying my break before entering the dungeon for the second time.

It may seem rushed, but after resting a bit and having lunch I plan to get to the tenth floor of the bloody arena, as I don't have much time before classes return and I want to explore both the bloody arena and the moonlight forest up to the fifteenth floor which is the limit walk that I can explore without risking my life in a suicidal way.

Thanks to the quality of my weapons I don't have to worry about maintaining them before entering the dungeon again, even if I have to face a solid defense like an elite kruthik my sword will be intact and I need a huge strength that is superior the strength of a newly advanced warrior for a green core only the strength befitting the peak of the green core to break my weapon then a fight at the power level of a gray core warrior like me, my weapon approaches being indestructible unless I face a corrosive attack.

I have invested a considerable amount of gold in high quality materials to make my weapons for an important reason the main piece of equipment for a warrior and difference in dying when facing a powerful opponent.

But after recovering I enter the bloody arena and this time the arena is different it is no longer an empty earth arena, but an arena with some different obstacles besides some rocks that must be very resistant, two thorn traps that if I end up falling into the trap, I'll end up getting impaled by some sharp spikes and a fire near the center of the arena.

The arena has changed a lot, that's the biggest change I see in a dungeon, I wonder how the bloody arena will change once I walk through the floor with a guardian. My enemies also changed this time I wasn't some hobgoblis but some wererats and they level two monsters, even if they are normal monsters their speed and ferocity is superior to hobgoblis.

The wererats are equipped not only with weapons that are not rusty, they are equipped with leather armatures and they are running towards me used the obstacles in the arena to protect themselves. I feel like I'm surrounded by adventurers and not monsters.

I move to intercept the wererat moving around one of the rocks, only to find nothing. When I'm startled by my enemy's disappearance, I hear a sound above my head I throw myself away, and when I look back, I see the wererat who's struggling to pull out the sword he's prized on the ground after he's got wrong your attack.

I underestimated the wererats' intelligence and I have to resort to my eyes so I don't get attacked in a blind spot again. I advanced against the wererat that attacked me, he dropped his sword and ran to the other side of the boulder and unfortunately, I can't follow him as the two wererats are attacking me from two different directions.

I step back to avoid being surrounded by the wererat who is trying to sneak around my back with his spear, I fend off the wererats in front of me I wait for the wererat attack with a spear and when he advances towards me, he backs off. met with one of my throwing knives between his eyes.

And when the wererats in front of me were surprised by the death of one of their companions, that was a very smart reaction for an inferior creature, but right now I'm paying close attention to it the openness in the wererat attacks and advancing against them.

I rip open his arms and his torso before being attacked by another wererat who retrieves his weapon, I didn't spend a lot of time killing him only to find myself being surrounded by a few more wererats.

The sixth floor was a much more frenzied battle than I expected the wererats do much better teamwork than the hobgoblins and kobolds. And with the obstacles to helping them I have a lot more trouble facing a group of wererats than I should have in an empty arena.

I overestimated my abilities without a partner I won't make it to the fifteenth floor, but alone I still have the confidence to survive and kill the tenth-floor guardian.

In the next floors not only did I face wererats as I faced two level one kruthiks, but luckily, they were both normal and not elite kruthiks, but they were still a big challenge, floors seven and eight were difficult as I was being harassed by two wererats equipped with crossbows while fighting the kruthik and after killing them I had to face another group of wererats. On the ninth floor I had to face eight enemies at the same time and unfortunately, I didn't end up unscathed I was hit by two darts which luckily the crossbows weren't very powerful and this meant that the darts didn't have enough strength to pierce through my bones.

My ripeness had a good defense to keep the darts from piercing my flesh, but luckily it helped me too when I was hit by a club and pierced by a spear wielded by the wererats. During combat I killed a few dozen level two monsters so the amount of gold coins I managed to gather in my exploration at the ninth floor is enough to buy my bow.

I rested for half an hour after applying medicine and bandaging my wounds, I was left staring at the portal to the tenth floor. I'm in a dilemma, my second run in the dungeon was much more complicated than I expected before and I doubt the fight with the tenth-floor keeper will be easy.

I'm considering going in because my wounds don't impair my mobility only keep me from fighting for a long time and if hit by a strong blow, they should reopen the medicine I used and good to close the wound, but it doesn't heal my flesh quickly.

After resting and letting the medicine take effect I go through the portal to the tenth floor, I prepared myself to face the guardian of the tenth floor. And he was a level two hobgoblin that I was pretty personalized by the dungeon.

To be precise in front of me, I saw a hobgoblin that looks more like a goddamn Ork, just missing the height of one. He's my size and he's wielding two axes and his ripe is just two pieces of gauntlets and metal greaves while the rest of his maturation is just a leather and dirty cloth skirt with a few small skulls serving as a prop on it. The guardian was basically a stereotype of a barbarian with body paint and screaming like crazy and running towards me.

I'm not dumb enough to go head-to-head with the hobgoblin but use the terrain to my advantage like the wererats have done before, unfortunately I doubt he's dumb or crazy enough to fall into the traps uncovered in the arena anymore I doubt he can break the boulders that are scattered around the arena.

As I move behind one of the boulders, I climb onto the rock keeping myself out of the hobgoblins field of view and when he ran around the rock, I attack him and I used my hunting knife to pierce one of his shoulders the blade pierced deep and I I dropped it there and as they were charged with aura and elemental fire energy the hobgoblin's wound is making a considerable amount of blood and his arm is nearly useless.

The hobgoblin is obviously even crazier, he was even drooling. He advanced towards me swinging one of his axes and I dodged him with my sword I used the fire element to intensify my strength and match it with the strength of his weapon after exchanging eight blows with him and to my surprise the intensity of his movements has not slowed down, even after losing a considerable amount of blood that is still leaking from the wound, he is still attacking me with the same momentum.

I used my wind element to run faster than the hobgoblin that's swinging its ax as it chased me. I kept this game of cat and mouse with him for ten minutes only to note that he must have dropped dead a long time ago.

This hobgoblin's physique is very far from normal as a boss category monster he tends to have some special abilities or properties and I was unlucky that he must have a special trait to enhance or regenerate his vitality.

And now that it's useless for me to understand this combat as my wounds opened up and started bleeding slightly. I speed up and run through the boulders as I hurl my knives into the hobgoblin's face, I didn't pierce even one of his eyes as he shielded himself with his arm and when he shielded himself, I lunged at him I landed a blow against the part from behind his knee that is unprotected by his greaves.

And when he tried to retaliate, I walked around him and used the boulder as a support to move around his back and cut his neck. And when my sword tore through his flesh, the back bone of his neck was much harder than I thought it would be, and I only managed to tear through his flesh.

I mended my movement around him delivering several blows ripping his flesh and causing his dark green skin to be covered in his red blood. The hobgoblin must have lost more than a dozen liters of blood during our combat and the only reason it can't dismember him is because his bones are extremely tough, I can barely chip them.

My wounds opened up and I started to bleed a lot more as I backed away from the hobgoblin, I left him on his knees with his body completely retaliated. Even though his bones are hard and he has ridiculous vitality I tore all the tendons and muscles and it left him immobile bleeding to his knees on the floor.

A pool of blood had formed under him and the only thing he was able to do now was grunt and bleed.

I removed my hunting knife and extremely stubborn guardian falls to the ground and insists on squirming and not accepting his death. And I start to separate his flesh from his bones to finally get to kill this persistent bastard, who will cost me a fortune not only his gem is worth a lot since he is a boss class monster as his skeleton must be worth a lot.

Some bones hard enough not to be broken by my blows, they were badly scarred during the fight. They should be considered a high-quality material even if their origin is from a level one monster.

It took me a long time to clean the bones using my elements and apply medicine to my wounds again and get some rest, and only after cleaning everything did, I leave the dungeon holding a bag of bones and heading towards the guild.
