I finally feel peaceful and comfortable, I'm lying on my bed with Wulfgar keeping me company, I've finally finished cleaning up and putting away all my gear and now I'm reflecting on the experience of this last expedition.
I really didn't expect the problem during this expedition to be the ultimate goal, I expected the difficulty would be in keeping the camp and the tunnel a secret and luckily not one of the patrols approached the camp and noticed the tunnel Ingredi had dug.
But at the end of the day the problem was the apatite is really unlucky to find it inside the meteorite, I wonder who create the apatite cocoon to keep Wulfgar alive, burying a meteorite in a cave hundreds of meters underground is a very complex task for keep a puppy alive.
And I am very curious to know what characteristics Wulfgar will have when he grows up which will be soon, I believe that a few more months he will already be close to the size of an average wolf and another year to grow enough for me to ride him, but I I might end up being unlucky and Wulfgar end up being some sort of little wolf so no matter how many years I wait I'll never be able to ride him but I have faith that he'll grow old enough to be my mount.
Seeing the mana flowing through his body I didn't even find an elemental energy characteristic in his body and it confuses me the life element I was absorbed into his body and so I believed his natural element would reveal itself but he is still asleep maybe it is a side effect of sleeping so long and your body is slowly waking up so only later will Wulfgar's element or elements appear.
Over the next few days, I spent my time training and visiting the library to learn more how to train an animal companion and ended up asking some teachers I thought might help me out a bit. I was surprised that Professor Liv and Professor Frey had their own special companions.
Teacher Liv's partner was a falcon that has an affinity with the wind and thunder element I was surprised by the teacher's description of her falcon Vina she has the same power level as teacher Liv it shocked me because tamed magical beasts usually rebels when their owner is not stronger than they are, but teacher Liv told me that her partnership with Vina is not based on strength but on friendship and companionship she saved Vina's life when she was still a magic beast of level a.
And after years of fighting and exploring together her bond with Vina and unbreakable even if Vina surpasses her teacher's strength and level, she has confidence and faith that Vina will never turn against her. I really envy the relationship between the two of them and I hope that Wulfgar and I can have such a strong and harmonious relationship.
The second partnership that surprised me was Professor Frey with his partner Luck he is a very special and rare fox she has the extremely rare ability of tracking to be more specific and a fox looking for natural treasures he has an affinity for the element of life and it can awaken the soul element after being fed resources from the soul element.
Unfortunately, Luck hasn't had a chance to feed on resources that have the soul element, but Professor Frey still has high hopes that Luck will awaken the soul element and become able to track resources that contain the soul element. Professor Frey bought Luck when he was still a puppy for the past four years, he has been raising Luck and training his tracking skills.
It's a complicated and expensive training since the teacher has to buy different types of materials from various elements, Luck specializes in finding minerals and crystals, and it seems that he doesn't get along very well with plants and fruits which is funny since. that Professor Frey told me lucky foxes are better at tracking down rare fruits and herbs of various elements than minerals and crystals.
Professor Frey chose Luck to be his partner because he counts on Luck's help to find valuable materials to use in his projects and he was very happy when Luck specialized in finding minerals and crystals because crystals are extremely important for rune matrices of high level, despite being fragile compared to metals they are able to store and support the transmission of elemental energy and mana in large amounts and even when the mana velocity passing through crystals is high they tend to be able to withstand and stabilize the mana flow.
Luck has no offensive abilities, but his tracking ability is very precious and matches and helps Professor Frey's researches a lot, even though Luck is still being trained by the professor according to Professor's plan Luck is not yet familiar with all types of crystals and this makes it unlikely that he will be able to track certain rare crystals.
I learned a lot from my teachers during this week, I learned that the various ways to train a partner, even if there are several similarities between them the part that most people agree and the importance and ways to create and strengthen the bond between owner and companion, but the difference is shown in the objective and function that the companion must develop a companion like Vina who is trained to be a combat weapon and necessary to train the companion for him to be able to control and focus his natural aggression and be able to of working as a pair with its owner.

As you can see Luck isn't good at finding herbs or fruits so this whole part of the training was to no avail. In my case I have to figure out Wulfgar's characteristics, as he's still a puppy I should focus on our bond and not on combat training or focused on one of his skills I don't know, but when he grows up, I'll have to choose one or make a mix between these types of training.
But it depends on what I discover watching Wulfgar in the coming months as the various factors inserted about Wulfgar I intend to focus on what I can perceive and what I can deduce, as I'm sure Wulfgar is a magical beast even though he hasn't awakened or an element cannot be an ordinary beast if he were it would be very strange that he ended up in a sheath of apatite and left it in a cave so deep in the earth, even if you take into account the change the terrain has undergone for several years by the meteorite must have been done and buried to likely retrieved in the future.
So, I believe Wulfgar should be able to develop a high-quality combat capability my doubts are focused if he has some unique skill like Luck if he has and I don't help him train he will lose an important part of his potential and that it would be a big problem for both of us.
For me it would be a devaluation of my investment and for him and losing one of his natural characteristics that could prove to be critical in helping him advance to higher levels in the future. A magic beast that doesn't develop its attributes has more difficulty advancing after level three and this also applies when a different element is forced into a magic beast in one of the books, I found it taught the relationship of a magic beast's element to its growth and how to insert a new element into a magical beast or magical animal to transform it into a magical beast.

During the week Hilda visited me a few times to spend time with Wulfgar, but it turned out to be fun to see Wulfgar enjoyed being petted by Hilda, but he doesn't like being treated like a cute toy so much on the fourth day Hilda appeared i saw that Wulfgar tried to run away from her when he saw her, he was in my bed half asleep, so he ended up trying to hide behind the pillow that was on the bed.
But obviously he was captured by Hilda and she spent the next hour petting him and playing with him, Wulfgar's attempts to escape Hilda became more intense and this proved to be good training for his body and mind. Wulfgar is too smart for a cub if not for his infant body maybe he would have some chance of escaping Hilda.
But before the weekend was over Wulfgar had already started to develop his ability to hide he hides behind his pillow or behind one of the furniture next to him, he cowers when he hides and I realized that when he hides, he doesn't just stay not making a sound, and also the different behavior in your internal mana that normally flows through your body slows down and this makes his presence slightly less than normal.
I have never seen the mana or elemental energy of a beast behave this way even a beast that had the shadow element that is associated with concealment and disguise. I really am very curious to discover Wulfgar's abilities.
