In the darkness of the dungeon my arrows pierced the skulls of various monsters, any monster that tried to cross our defensive wall was met by one of my arrows.
The amount of monsters that fled when the light cannon Ingredi was holding lit decreased with each group we killed the deeper we went on the sixth floor, not only did the number of them increase, they became wilder. Even being burned by the light the monsters continued to attack the group like madmen.
Taking my assistance away, the brunt of the combat concentrated and piled up on Torris and Raziel who were at the front of the group. Erick and Sten fought less often only when the wave of monsters was great they covered Torris' sides and Raziel the only person in the group who wasn't doing anything but complaining about the stink of the tunnel was Hilda.
Over the hours our group passed two whole floors, but on the eighth floor we had to take a break we explored the dungeon for eight hours straight even Hilda who wasn't fighting felt tired the pressure of the dungeon is not only caused by the groups of monsters that attacked us and yes from the dungeon itself.
This is my statement not only comes from the psychological effect of being trapped in a dark tunnel that branches into a maze and the weather in it is horrible, but in the mana of the maze itself the mana that spreads in the air inside the dungeon the amount is above the normal amount in the air in an open field only places like the emerald forest have an air charged with such a large amount of mana, but having an environment with a lot of mana only strengthens and speeds up the recovery of the mages' mana and the fighters' aura.
But with the increase of mana in the air I noticed that in my mana there are empty spots I don't see anything in these really small spots that are in the dungeon air I suspect that these empty spots are not empty but there is an energy that is invisible to min.
It must be the same type of energy that probably runs through the walls of the dungeon I believe it is negatively affecting the members of my group at the rate I feel the psychological discomfort increase and proportional to the increase of invisible particles in the air.
The deeper we go through the dungeon the number of invisible dots in the mana spread through the air increases. I tried to use my aura and elemental energy on these invisible spots when the group stopped to eat and rest, but in addition to pushing the spot away with my aura to be more exact I pushed the mana and the invisible spot went along with it with that I I can conclude that both my aura and my elemental energy cannot interfere with this type of energy only pure mana seems able to interact with this energy.
I have to go after a magic tool that might be able to isolate these unknown particles if I can gather a large amount of them in a small place maybe I'll be able to see or ask for help from Professor Frey he might know something about this energy or he he'll just be happy with a sample of a unique dungeon energy that's of course if he believes me and doesn't think I'm just crazy for claiming to have captured an invisible energy.
I have to rehearse my presentation for the teacher well so I don't sound too crazy when I say that I managed to isolate an invisible energy that I can't interact with directly and you have to believe me that this empty pot that contains mana and this dungeon energy is in that pot too .
As I got lost in my thoughts my group started talking about the dungeon.
"Are you okay Torris? You've been fighting for hours without stopping even though we've gone halfway there is still a long way to go to the tenth floor."
"A little tired, but I'm fine I've been training for years with the goal of being a defensive knight I spent a lot of time building my stamina and the most important attribute for a defensive knight."
"Are you Raziel how is your elemental energy reserve? Even taking into account that in a dark place its consumption decreases, sustaining an elementary cover is not a simple art."
"I still have half of my elemental energy I've avoided using it in my attacks, but thanks to the dark environment my regeneration is faster so I can sustain the elemental cloak up to the tenth floor it would only be good to take a break before entering the room. tenth floor."
When the subject of Torris' resistance ended Hilda didn't warm up anymore and complained about her boredom in the last few hours she didn't kill a single show that tortured her even more than the dungeon stench.
"Hey! Erick change places with me I'm so bored I want to skewer some monsters with my spear this smelly dark place is pissing me off so much."
"I change but is everything okay for others?"
Not an objection from the rest of the team so now Hilda can take out her rage on the poor dungeon monsters. It didn't take us long to go back to exploring the floor in search of the stairs.
Over the next few hours Hilda had fun killing several monsters and it was good not only for her but it helped Torris a lot since she was after him and so the amount of monsters Torris had to kill decreases by three quarters which shows how much Hilda needed take out your frustration at being careful of the back of the team.
While Erick rested in the back, the team took another four hours to finally reach the tenth floor. Along our way we killed some variations of monsters, but even with different colors and sizes we killed a few hundred goblins and kobolds the reality of the first fifteen floors of the dungeon removing the guardians of floors five, ten and fifteen the only monsters we will find goblins and kobolds.
After the fifteenth floor the variety of monsters changes from two types to six. Of course, the recommended level to reach the twentieth floor is that the group is formed by people who already have a gray core. After resting for another half hour, we could finally face the tenth floor guardians.
It took us about fourteen hours to get here and to think that we might have to spend almost a whole day the next time we enter the dungeon as getting from the eleventh floor to the fifteenth will be a huge test of endurance.
We enter the tenth-floor room in slightly different formation we are in arrowhead shape with me and Hilda at Torris' sides while Erick and Sten protect Ingredi. Raziel is using his element to hide in the wall to ambush any of the elite monsters that decide to attack Ingredi.
When lighting the room we only saw four elite monsters that quickly attacked our group, but this trick doesn't work in mine I can see that we actually had the bad luck to have six elite monsters in the room two of them are hiding in the corners of the room ceiling while your friends run straight towards us they are crawling on the ceiling slowly to try to ambush us.
"We have six enemies get ready!"
It's not a problem for me to warn you since elite monsters at this low level don't understand human language usually only boss category monsters who can understand and sometimes even talk during combat.
Torris blocked from the monsters while I stopped the third one. When they tried to get away I couldn't do anything, but Hilda managed to pierce one of them's leg with her spear she aimed at it because before fighting we agreed to focus on the monsters' legs as mobility was their strong point without them become easy prey for our team.
The three elite monsters harassed the group by running down the sides of the group but as we got close to the wall they were unable to get around the team and attack Ingredi. As we were being harassed by the three idiots the two elite kobolds on the roof were almost ready to jump on us.
When the two jumped from the ceiling to attack Ingredi who was in my group a whip intercepted one of them and pulled him against the ground next to Sten who killed him by piercing his skull and since he was closer to mine he found my sword at go down.
I split the kobold in half and I would be vulnerable but I was covered by Torris' shield that blocked the attack coming my way as I killed a kobold.
Now with the death of two kobolds that were hiding we went on the offensive with the assistance of Raziel's whip it didn't take long to kill the kobolds that resisted until the end one of them tried to bite Hilda's foot after she had cut their legs with your spear. This elite kobold is really persistent.
But at the end of the fight they couldn't even scratch one of us with their claws and teeth. And with his death we got five mana gems worth around thirty gold bucks a gem and with their claws and fangs to complete the hundreds of normal gems and level one we had a nice gain in one day of exploration.
