I go out of the house, lock the door and run as fast as I can.
I don't want to go to school but sadly I must or else my parents will nag me for hours and school is better than listening to their 'Eternal Nag'.
After running for 5 minutes, I have now arrived at the school gate but before I can enter it, I am stopped by the system's warning.
The system warns, "Warning! Spatial distortion and an energy disturbance are located near the school gate. Due to the host's limited abilities, the system suggests the host avoid confrontation and go away from that place."
I thought to myself, 'I plan on avoiding trouble anyway so why bother going to dangerous places such as that? It's better to be safe than sorry.'
I go in the opposite direction but before I can take a step away from that place, the system gives me another warning.
The system warns, "The host has entered a level 2 restricted barrier. The host is now allowed to use the host's limited chuunibyou abilities. Please avoid confrontations with other chuunibyous."
I inform the system, "Like hell would I confront them! I don't even want to waste my time on trashes like them!"
The system replies, "Forgive the system for being blunt but the host seems to have mistaken something. The trash the host is talking about is not considered trash but the host is instead labeled as trash."
I retort, "I know that I'm labeled as trash but not any longer as I will only need to wait for a week before I can lift the restrictions on my abilities, and the ones who had offended me will grovel under me and will beg for my mercy. I can already imagine such a situation!"
The system sighs, "Sigh. As the system had expected, the host has a lot of imagination."
I reply to the system, "Of course I have or else I wouldn't have accessed the chuunibyou system let alone talking to you right now. I wouldn't have been considered as one of the world's strongest if I don't have a lot of delusions."
I add, "But that being said, I still need to wait for a week before lifting the restrictions, or else I will still be labeled as trash. At least this so-called trash can be recycled."
The system replies, "Aren't the ones that can be recycled are known as garbage while those garbages that are useless are known as trash?"
I reply to the system, "Don't sweat the small details! There are still some ways that trash can be recy-"
A girl's shout interrupts me and she shouts, "Get out of the way or you will be hit!"
A blue lightning bolt is charging at me at high speed.
I am shocked by the sudden shout and attack but thanks to my experience, sneak attacks such as these can never harm me!
I cast [Mana Shield] then a transparent blue-colored layer of protection envelops my body in a spherical shape.
The blue lightning bolt comes in contact with my mana shield and the impact of it makes my mana shield shake but my mana shield didn't break.
Good thing I have a high intelligent stat or else I wouldn't have been able to cast a spell without draining a large amount of my mana.
The girl asks me, "Are you hurt? And how did you manage to block the lightning bolt? Are you also one of the specials?"
I thought to myself, 'Specials? That's what they call the user of the chuunibyou system? Isn't that too cheesy? Who even thought of that title because it sucks?!'
The system telepathically says, 'I agree with the host! The title specials suck and it is a waste of the system's greatness to be called something like that. They should have at least called it as otakus or something like that.'
I stare at the girl before looking at the people near her.
There are four of them including the girl. The teenage boy is a swordsman, the thirty-year-old man is a tank, the short-haired girl is an archer while the girl who talked to me is a mage.
Their team is pretty decent and it can help them defend themselves from other chuunibyous.
I look in the direction where her party members are staring at and several monsters known as nightmares are attacking them.
It should be a low-ranked nightmare and not to mention that they are only goblins.
If that were ogres then they would have faced a predicament.
Luckily they met me and even though I can't use a hundred percent of my power I can still use a tenth of my power.
I also have multiple skills at my disposal and some skills are even god rank.
I look at the girl and say, "I'm not hurt and I cast a mana shield to protect me from the lightning bolt and I'm one of the specials you are talking about."
It is better to play along for now and observe them for a while.
The girl stares at me and looks at her party members before saying, "Oh, so that's how you manage to block it. If you don't mind then can you help us defeat the goblins since we are having a hard time?"
I feel reluctant at first before saying, "What's in it for me?"
She goes to her teammates and they chat for a while before the swordsman of their party says, "All of us will split the profit and if you can get a loot when you kill the goblins then it's yours."
I thought to myself, 'It's not a bad deal and I can also keep the items I get if I slay the goblins myself. All in all, I won't lose anything, well except for my life, that is if I lose.'
I glance at them and say, "I will join your party! Hope I will be a big help!"
They all nod and I go to them.
I take out a magic staff from the system inventory, point it towards the goblins, and cast [Fireball].
The magic staff gives out a glow and a ball of fire appears.
The ball of fire hits the goblins which burns them alive.
Sizzling sounds and the smell of burning meat can be heard and smelled.
The goblin's scream can be heard as they endure the excruciating pain they feel as they are being burned alive.
Six minutes have passed while we were waiting for the goblins to die and finally, they all turn into ashes.
Three shining items are on the ground and I go towards the place where the items are at.
I pick the items and after picking them, the glow on the item disappears.
A silver-colored ring with a sapphire gem on it, an iron necklace holding a clover shape made out of silver, and an iron sword with a silver hilt that has some engravings on it are the items that I picked up,
The party members of the girl are drooling as they see me collecting three artifacts and they envied me but they still keep their promise on me to keep the items that I got by myself.
Even though I got the artifacts but I don't have any use of the sword so I toss it to the swordsman in their party and he bows to me and thank me for the sword that I gave him.
I didn't mind giving the sword to them since I have plenty of it inside my inventory.
The reason why I keep the ring and necklace artifact is that I need to sell it in the system shop to earn some delusions.
I go to my temporary party members and say, "I will keep this ring and necklace artifact and I will be taking my leave."
The swordsman says, "Thanks for the sword you gave me and it will help me in our future raids! Goodbye and thank you for helping us! We couldn't have done it without you-"
The ground violently shakes which interrupt the swordsman from continuing his greetings.s
A hobgoblin appears out of thin air which startles me for a while but I still regain my composure.
I think of a plan to defeat the hobgoblin but nothing comes to my mind because the skills that I need to defeat it are too high ranking and I can't execute it with my current abilities.
I go my temporary party members and ask, "Can any of you fight and defeat that hobgoblin?"
They go silent for a while before the mage replies, "None of us can defeat the hobgoblin and we are planning to retreat. You should retreat with us."
I think for a while and say, "Okay, I will retreat with you all."
We run as fast as we can and finally, we are near the end of the restricted barrier.
My temporary party members go through the restricted barrier and they successfully leave the barrier.
It is my turn to leave so I go to the barrier but I am repelled by the barrier as soon as I come into contact with it.
The system notification pops up and says, "The host can't leave the restricted barrier since the [Brave One] title is in effect."
"D*mn!"
