When Amy and I got home, Amy's mother, Elizabeth Jones, was at the door waiting for us to come in. "Amethyst, Gemma, explain this." She put up the note, I told her we just went on a little han out, which we did, so I wasn't lying. Elizabeth stared at me then Amy, then she said, " Kissing isn't something friends do." Amy looked at me with a worried face. She didn't know if her mom would accept us. Amy took a deep breath, and told her mom somewhat of the truth, she told her mom that I was just protecting her from her ex, that I kissed her to make her ex think she was over him, and doesn't care. Elizabeth just looked at me, deeply into my eyes, she was trying to see if it was true. We were stuck in each others gaze for what seemed to be centuries. Amy then couldnt take the pressure anymore and grabbed my arm, and pulled me away to her room, where she locked the door.
In a couple of weeks me and Amy tried to stay as far away as possible from each other, but not too far so it didn't look weird. The only time we would be close was when we were 'hanging out' or home alone, but today, was awful. Elizabeth said she was going out to the store, so me and Amy decided to have some fun. We chased each other around, we kissed, we made a mess, failed at cooking, and so on. In the four hours we were alone, we noticed that it was way to long for Amy's mother to be at the store, so we got a suspicious and called her phone, she answered and said that she had to go to another store to get what she needed. We didn't believe her so we checked outside and we saw her car here. We instainly panicked. What if she was here the whole time, she would have saw us kiss. In a couple of minutes we calmed down, and just decided to watch TV until Elizabeth came home.
When the door opened, me and Amy froze, we sat there looking at the TV with no expression. The door closed and I looked behind me, and saw Amy's mother standing in the doorway taking off her shoes. Amy and I continued to watch TV, we waited for Elizabeth to come over. Amy's mother tells us to sit down at the table for a talk, that is when we knew that we most likely weren't going to see each other for awhile. Amy couldn't take it anymore, she told her mom that she and I were dating and have been for a few weeks. She grabbed my hand, she was scared.
" I appreciate what you told me, and I support it, it's just I don't want you guys in my house anymore. You guys are in your twenties, both of you can't stay here anymore." She got up and gave Amy a kiss on her head then left. Me and Amy looked at each other, and went straight up to her room and started looking for houses. A few days later we found one that was in our budget, we bought it and moved in. After settling at the house for a few days we decided to get a friend for Jamie, so we got another dog and named it Jasmine. After a few months, Jamie and Jasmine had puppies, we kept one of eight. I was so happy for years but everything started to go the opposite direction from there.
