Meanwhile: Adrianna pulls away and tells Hector she is embarrassed for making a fool of herself and apologizes for making his shirt wet. He wipes tears from her face with his hands and tells her it is okay because her cousin is in hospital and it is natural for her to be emotional. He hugs her again. Alejandro, Helena, and Carlos are driven in. They see Adrianna and Hector. Alejandro is furious. He believes Hector is taking advantage of Adrianna's sadness.
Hector leads her back in. They find Gina, Antonio, and Aurelio sitting. The doctor has left. Hector asks Gina what happened, and she tells him. Hector then watches Adrianna, as she sits quietly. Gina asks Adrianna what Aranza's blood group is, and Adrianna tells her. Everyone looks at each other. Helena, Carlos, and Alejandro come in. Alejandro is still annoyed at seeing Hector hug Adrianna.
Hector looks at Gina. She knows what he is thinking. She has the same blood type, as did their father. Hector had the same type as their mother. Gina knows she has to do something to save her sister, even though she and her brother's secret might be at risk. Hector wakes up and looks at Gina. No words were needed. That was an emergency. Alejandro steps out to make a call and asks an associate to watch the two. Antonio watches them. Every time he sees them together, he is reminded of the twins ( Hernan and Gabriela). They have the same twin connection.
Hector leads Gina to the cafeteria and looks around to make sure no one is watching. They sit in a place where someone cannot sneak in unnoticed or hide and over a cup of tea and scones, discuss the matter at hand. They have to whisper, to avoid a nosy ear from eavesdropping. Hector tells Gina, they have to rescue Aranza. Gina says she knows but is afraid of their secret coming out now. Hector thinks, and says, she should do it undercover, using a fake ID. Gina stares at her brother like he has gone mad. He looks at her back, and innocently asks what?
Gina can't believe what he suggested but knows that risky as it is they have few options. Gina says she knows something like that is probably expensive. He casually says not really and adds that he knows a place where they can get it at the best price possible. Gina stares even more shocked. She is even more curious about how her brother knows such things. Hernan says that it is a brilliant idea and will eliminate traces of them. Hector adds that he will withdraw money from his savings but Gina refuses, saying that it would be unfair to burden him, with the whole cost.
She says that they should share the cost. Hector says she will need to use her blood donation card and that might bust their plans. Gina thinks then says they should scan her card and have it changed electronically. When he stares at her, she tells him, he is not the only smart one in the family. He mock glares at her. He agrees and says they should go the next day. Both call colleagues to cover for them and give them reasonably sounding excuses.
Elsewhere, Alejandro is quietly pondering, what are Gina and Hector up to? Why did they go off to the cafeteria for private talks? Why were they whispering? Too bad he could not hear anything. He is sure; they are hiding something, but what? Later on, Antonio and Adrianna take them home. They go shopping for supplies they will need during the hospital visit.
The next day. Aurelio leaves for university, leaving Gina and Hector. They get ready and leave. They go, to get their ID'S and again Gina wonders how her brother knows such places and people. She will ask him later if he is involved in anything fishy. They are both under disguise and are wearing wigs.
They are asked when they need the IDs and say that day. Hector is told to wait in a waiting area as Gina goes in with the people. For privacy reasons and since most people don't want traces, they don't give their real names. Gina's pictures are taken and she gives the name she wants to use as Gisela Carrillo. She also gives other relevant details that she wants to be added.
Meanwhile, at work, Antonio goes, to look for Gina, and doesn't see her. Emma is sitting at her desk, going over some files. He asks her where Gina is. Emma says she is not coming to work today, and neither is Hector. Antonio asks Emma, why. Emma says Gina told her, she and Hector had an emergency to deal with. Emma adds that Gina was insistent, and promised to make it up later and that Hector had said similar things to his colleagues. Antonio goes back to his department.
He is confused. He and Adrianna took Hector and Gina home, after, visiting Aranza, so what emergency? Neither of them said anything or acted differently like anything is a miss. What are they up to? He texts Adrianna and asks her if she wants to have lunch with him. Adrianna is like the sister, he never had. He talks to her, whenever he feels down or confused. Adrianna agrees. She knows Antonio wants to either vent or talk to her about something.
Alejandro goes to Adrianna's desk. He wants to have lunch with her. She says she already has plans with Antonio. She wakes up to go hand certain files to another colleague. Alejandro gets into the lift with her. He says he still loves her. Adrianna keeps quiet, then looks at him. Eyes blazing, she tells him she doesn't care. He asks her, where her boyfriend is. Adrianna ignores him. She says Antonio is like a brother to her and they are having lunch together, because he wants to talk to her, so he(Alejandro) can bother her, some other day. The lift opens and Adrianna leaves. Alejandro looks at her, as she leaves. Adrianna will be his, and his only, Hector had better watch out.
Back with Hector and Gina,
Hector and Gina, get the ID, it is some good work. They pay and leave.
They go to a different place, and scan the document, then change it. Gina is still shocked at how her brother knows such backstreet places. They then head to the hospital. On several walls there are appeals for blood donations, to cater to Aranza and the other collapsed building victims. Gina using the alias Gisela Carrillo goes to the reception desk and says she'd like to donate.
She hands in her blood donation card. The nurse smiles. She says, now they can work to save miss Aranza, because the blood group was rare, and was running low in the hospital. Gina undergoes the normal pre-donation routine and is certified as healthy and able to donate. She then is prepared to donate. A nurse takes away the blood. As she is given food to replace the energy she lost, Hector comes in. He hugs her.
Gina whispers that they have to leave before either Helena, Carlos, Antonio, Adrianna or Alejandro recognizes them. Hector, says she has to rest. Nearly an hour later, she is told she can leave the room. She tells a doctor and a nurse, she wants to leave, because she doesn't want any unnecessary attention, she just came to fulfill an appeal because the tragedy moved her. She and Hector are escorted out and leave.
Adrianna and Antonio are at lunch. Adrianna asks him if he knows why Gina and Hector were not at work that day. He tells her what Emma said. Adrianna is as puzzled as he is. Antonio asks if he is crazy for seeing the twins in Gina and Hector every day. Adrianna says no because she does as well. They are still talking when Adrianna receives a call. It is a doctor friend of hers from the hospital, whom she asked to update her on Aranza's situation. It's however good news. They found a donor, with a perfect blood group match.
Adrianna tells Antonio. He is happy. Antonio tells her to call Gina and Hector. Adrianna says she will call Aurelio first because she believes, he has feelings for Aranza. Aurelio is, of course, happy and says he will come over to the hospital straight away from school because he has classes until 4 pm.
Adrianna then calls Hector. Seeing it is Adrianna, he hesitates then picks up. Adrianna tells them the good news. Hector duly acts happy and surprised. He says he will be at the hospital with Gina, at around 4 pm. He heads to a mall with Gina, and each removed their disguises. They then throw them into a bin (plus fake ID) and buy some food before leaving.
Later,
Aurelio leaves class early and heads to the hospital. At around four-thirty, he arrives. Adrianna, Antonio, Gina, and Hector are already there. Aranza has already received the blood donation. As Adrianna asks questions, about the mysterious donor, Gina, and Hector smile at each other. Antonio sees them. What are they up to? Could they have planned it?
Gina's phone rings. It is Horacio. What bad timing he has. She goes off to answer. Antonio can tell it is Horacio. That bothers him and makes him jealous.
He is afraid Gina is or could fall in love with him again. Gina asks Horacio what he wants. He asks her where she is, she says in a hospital. He asks her again why she cares so much about Aranza. She asks him why he called her. He says he still loves her. Gina hangs up. Talking to him is irritating and annoying. She goes back to the others. The only available spot is near Antonio. She knows, he is watching her. Gina is getting more afraid as the days pass. She is falling in love with him, and is afraid of how he will react; when he finds out she is Gabriela Montes De Alba.
Shortly after,
Helena and Carlos come at around 5 pm. They already know everything. She looks at Adrianna, Antonio, Gina, and Hector, and is reminded of Adrianna, Antonio, and the twins playing in Adrianna's room one weekend 17years ago. There is that same sort of bond. She brushes it off. She needs to relax; the twins are dead, or probably living different lives in some small town somewhere. She asks the doctor about the donor.
He says her name was Gisela Carrillo, and she came with a man, who gave his name as Hannibal Carrillo. The doctor adds that the two did not want any fanfare and left soon after donating blood. Helena asks to speak to anyone who might have interacted with the two. She asks how they looked like. She is told that Gisela has brown hair, is fair-skinned, wears glasses, and has brown eyes.
Hannibal is also fair-skinned and with brown hair but his eyes are black. Helena remembers Hector and Gina have similar eye colors but their hairs are both brown. She decides she is simply being dramatic. She vows that if the twins come back she is ready for them. No one will steal everything she has worked for.
Meanwhile, Gina is scared but relieved. It might have cost money, but their sister is alive and that is what matters. Later on, Antonio and Adrianna take them home.
