Alex POV
"Do you think you can sleep now?" I asked because honestly, I don't think I can after sleeping that long all day. And I don't want to go back to sleep on that couch yet.
Alice smiled faintly and shook her head. She has been acting cute ever since she woke up and God how much I wanted to just squeeze her in my arms.
I ran my fingers through my hair frustratedly because I could not think of anything that would help her fall asleep. "I should've bought a book or two," I said and saw her face saddened. I know that her waking hours were spent in the coffee shop or reading books and now that the shop is burned as well as her house, all her books were burned into ashes as well.
I made a mental note to replace them all.
"How about a movie?" I asked her though I am not a fan of movies. Hell, I don't even watch tv. Ironically, I owned an entertainment company, and yet, I don't watch movies.
