Alice POV
I cannot believe this is happening again. The first time it happened I was forced by the police to believe that it was just an accident.
That I left the stove on that causes the fire. That it was my fault that the coffee shop that my mother worked hard to build caught fire. That it was my fault that I almost got killed.
Refusing to think that someone wanted me dead, I accepted the fact that it was just an accident caused by my negligence.
But this time, I am certain that this fire was not an accident. Just like the fire in the coffee shop.
As I sat at the edge of the ambulance being given first aid for the first-degree burn I got and oxygen for inhaling some of the smoke from inside the house, I tried to recollect the memory of what happened before the fire.
