Alex POV
I opened my eyes and looked around me. This place is so serene. The porch is surrounded by hanging plants and flowering bushes. Aside from the two-seater sofa and a single chair where I am seated, there is a hanging chair on the other side of the porch where Alice spends most of her time reading.
The small house is surrounded by a green lawn and trees. Although I could see neighboring houses, it still feels secluded and very private.
It has been a week since I came here. At first, Alice was reluctant to let me stay here. But I was adamant that I will never leave her until I am certain that she is safe. And even though Jeric had reported to me that he already has Jonathan Lewis in our warehouse, I am still not comfortable leaving Alice on her own.
