"Sadie…" Sadie's name instantly came out of Elijah's lips as if it was automatic. God knows how many red lights he had to beat on the highway just to get home before Sadie could leave. He is certain that he has a lot of tickets waiting for him but he couldn't care less.
The moment Nic told him that Sadie will be dropping by their house, he didn't even think and rushed out of his office and drove there to see her.
He doesn't even know what to say or think about the words that he should say to avoid screwing up again. All he knows is that he needed to come home in time to see and talk to Sadie. He was being impulsive again, yes, but he just cannot stop himself. He just hopes that his stupid mouth will not utter stupid words to hurt Sadie again.
On his way, Elijah cannot think of anything else but Sadie.
