"In a relationship. Not getting married," J said matter of factly. Then she added, "And it is still not enough for you to risk your life," J realized that her son must have really loved Sadie if he didn't mind losing in a race that he had prepared himself for years. Unfortunately, Elijah hasn't realized it yet. Yes, he knew that he was in love but up to what extent? He doesn't know.
"I did not risk my life," Elijah said in a low voice and then he looked away.
J narrowed her eyes at him. "Really? You did not risk your life by going there on the race track with your head filled with Sadie and Dylan?" She said in a displeased tone. Then she added, "And now you beat someone else just because you are jealous?"
