A few days later, Sadie went back home earlier than she used to. Dylan had invited her to his friend's birthday party. Sadie was hesitant at first because she hadn't met that particular friend but Dylan insisted. He said that his friends want to meet her.
Sadie was not used to leaving the restaurant early. She prefers to stay until everyone has left. She wanted it to be her to close the restaurant even if it was past midnight.
But ever since she met Dylan, her schedule had always been unpredictable. Sometimes, he would call to invite her for dinner or just go somewhere making her leave the restaurant early. Other times, he would appear at the restaurant making her leave the kitchen to entertain him.
