J and Diana heard a car pull outside the house. Diana instantly recognized the sound of the car that belonged to her daughter. She looked at J with a frown on her head wondering why her daughter was home early.
But J just shrugged her shoulders.
Soon enough, the door opens and Sadie comes in. Since the ground floor of the house was an open plan, Sadie instantly saw her mother and aunt standing by the kitchen counter.
Sadie smiled and greeted her mother. "Hi, Mom!" She said and then she walked toward the kitchen. She put down her bag on the kitchen counter and then kissed her mother's cheek.
"Aunt J," Sadie did the same to J.
Diana couldn't help but notice that her daughter was extra chirpy at that moment. Not to mention she was home early which was unusual. Normally, Sadie comes home late at night because she has to close the restaurant and make sure that the stockroom is still full for the next day.
