Nora nudged Damien's shoulder but since he was taller than her, her shoulder just bumped into his upper arm. "Didn't you just pretend earlier?" She said in a teasing voice. She was talking about how well he hid his annoyance at the trio's blatant insult in front of Damien.
While the trio was insulting him with words even though their faces were smiling as if they enjoyed talking to Damien, the latter was also smiling at them as if what they were saying didn't affect him at all.
It was the truth though, so Damien replied, "I didn't,"
Nora looked at him and raised a brow, "You didn't? You are telling me that you didn't pretend that you are not insulted by their words?" She asked as they continued to walk aimlessly. They had lost interest in finding their seats and table and were just walking around observing people as they talked to each other.
Maybe, once their feet start to ache, they will attempt to find their seats again.
