J knew that her daughter was seeking reassurance that Megan would be fine. She hoped that she could say that Megan would be fine but she doesn't want to give not just Nora but everyone false reassurance.
Megan's condition was worse than the last time that she was shot. She was not just shot on the chest twice but also once on her stomach, one on her shoulder, and one on her leg. She also lost a lot of blood.
But there is one thing that J could reassure Nora. "We'll do everything we can, sweetheart," She said as she placed her hand on Nora's cheek before she walked away to take Megan to the operating room.
J didn't even look back because she knew that everyone was looking at them with worry and hope in their eyes.
