Lucy's eyes were fixed on the creature, her face grim. "It's this dimension's final warning. We've pushed too far, and it's decided to push back."
The anomaly raised one of its massive legs, slamming it down into the ground. A shockwave radiated outward, rupturing the earth and sending fissures snaking toward the defenders. Lucy grabbed Ethel's arm, pulling her to safety as a jagged crack opened beneath their feet.
The battle lines were in chaos, but Lucy's voice barked through the comms. "Heavy units, target the legs! Keep it off balance! Aerial units engage those wings—we can't let it take to the skies!"
