"Oh, you sweet little thing… was Auntie taking good care of you?" She asked, slowly ruffling my hair while her smokey breath infiltrated my nostrils.
I nearly gagged as she talked to me, and she quickly noticed this before standing up.
"Sorry about that, kid… I guess I'll go take a shower and brush my teeth. I had a little session before you came in here,"
"Just… a session?" I asked seriously, but the woman just laughed before pulling a curtain blocking another room to the side.
What a strange woman…
As me and Ethel calmly waited in this room, she opened up a few windows leading to the outside which I'd argue wasn't much better than the air already in here.
"Auntie, if I may ask… how many floors are in this city?"
"About… two with one other we're currently working one, so I guess I'd say three. Why'd you ask?"
"I was just curious…"
