I was still a bit shocked by what had just happened… As I literally just died right then and there.
"D-did you girls die as well?" I ask, and Celestine and Clio's face paled.
"Y-you saw the illusion?"
"That was an illusion!?"
"Y-yeah… Did the walls close in from both sides?"
My face paled upon hearing her words.
"Yes,"
"*sigh*... So were you able to converse with him? Anubis?"
"Oh… that was him?"
"Lucy, you failed his test," Celestine interrupts our conversation.
"Can I retake it?"
"Nope… but, that doesn't matter because we're going to take it," Clio says with a cheeky smile which cheered me up a bit.
We turned around, and I saw the beautiful scenery surrounding us… it was like paradise.
A pretty large pond was before us, and surrounding it was a small hill that had trees atop it.
