Chapter 68 - Free!

Sky frowned. "What do you mean?" Sky asked.

Atlas walked forwards. "It doesn't matter who you are here, it doesn't matter who your parents are, everyone here is free to live as they wish." He walked forwards and placed his hands on Sky's shoulders.

"Here, you're free to choose how you live." Atlas said.

Sky stood frozen, he looked behind Atlas to the others who were still smiling and nodded.

"Now that I've said that, you can do as you wish!" Atlas said as he turned around and joined the others.

They started talking amongst themselves. Sky watched them talk, a strange feeling started settling in his heart. He felt lost, not knowing what to do, he stood watching for a few moments before taking a step backwards and deciding to head back to the cabin on the wall.

As Sky left the room Lea turned her head and watched before returning her attention to the others.

In a few minutes he had made it back home and slumped on the bed. Once again he noticed that there was food on the table, wrapped in plastic, this time no note. The sky had darkened on his way back and now night had settled. Sky looked around for a light and failed to find one when suddenly his room lit up. Sky looked to where the light was coming from and saw a crystal above and a small button near the door, blending in with the wall. He made his way to the button and clicked it watching the light go on and off for a few moments before eating.

Once he had finished he turned the light off and made his way into his bed and lay wondering what to do. He pondered whether it would be alright for him to forget about fighting the giants, alright for him to spend the rest of his days here, living peacefully, eating these meals. Slowly his eyes closed and he drifted into a slumber.

When he woke up the next morning he saw that once again there was food on the table. Once again he ate it and found himself sitting at the table with nothing to do. Unable to sit still, he made his way down to the streets and decided to explore the other crack in the wall.

Once there he walked through it, experiencing the same darkness once again, this time when everything brightened he realized he was on a giant, stone bridge with metal reinforcements.

The bridge was made of a white stone material, with black metal bolts and sheets connecting it. It was drilled into the side of the mountain, connecting this one and the one next door. The walkway was large enough for two of the giant statues to be transported side by side. In awe, he continued walking until he reached the other side and went through yet another crack, seeing another large hole in the mountain top and another landscape surrounded by high mountain walls and another crack on the other side.

Once there he saw a giant arena, larger than the one at Hero's Stronghold, to the left of it some buildings, and to his immediate left and right were a large armory and cemetery. Curiosity got the better of him and Sky continued walking towards the other crack and once on the other side he saw that what stood in front of him was a giant balcony, overlooking the mountains and valleys below, something out of a dream. To the left and right of the balcony were two large mechanical contraptions with levers.

Brushing that aside, Sky stared at the scene that lay before him.

"Beautiful isn't it?" Said a voice to his left.

He spun around to find Lea standing next to him.

"Um, I didn't get to introduce myself, my name is-" Sky started.

"Sky… we know… we've known about you since the first time Leeds and Kronos came to get you." Lea said joining him in looking at the mountains and valleys ahead.

Sky was at a loss for words as he turned his attention back to the mountains.

"Strange isn't it?" Lea said.

"What is?" Sky asked.

"For the first time in your life you've had complete and utter freedom, and now you've become lost." She said, "This is a strange place, where, despite having power, if you choose not to act on it people will still accept you."

"It is…" Sky smiled.

"Are you…" HIs voice trailed off as he turned to face her.

"Here to ask you to fight with us?" She finished, looking back at him.

Sky stared into her blue eyes. "Yes." He said after a few moments.

"No… just thought I'd talk to the son of Zeus one on one." Lea smiled.

"I believe in what Pops stands for, in what he strives to create." Lea said.

"And what is that?" Sky asked.

Lea gave a mischievous smile and tapped his chest with her fist. "Figure it out, you are his servant for the next three years." She smiled.

Sky watched her walk away, disappearing into the darkness, staring long after she had disappeared at the shadows then at the mountain side until night started. Seeing his time was up he made his way back, watching as all the people smiled and laughed. Some conjured drinks into mugs while others controlled streams of water from the wells. They were all happy, and enjoying life to the fullest.

As Sky walked by one of the trees in the second nest he saw a group of older men and women sharing a drink.

"HEY! Boy, come join us for a bit!" The man waved his hand.

Sky smiled and shook his hand. "I'm sorry sir, I have something tomorrow." He lied.

"It's fine, we can worry about tomorrow, tomorrow!" He laughed as another of his friends shushed him while another few cheered.

Sky smiled and continued walking back home.

Once he approached the stairs he saw that his door was left open. Silently and quickly he made his way up and hid behind the wall, hearing the sound of a plate being placed and something being torn. He quickly spun around into the entrance and assumed a fighting stance.

"AAAHHH!!!!" The high pitched voice sounded.
