Leeds and Jennifer quickly ran to the town hall. Along their way they saw worried looks as the town was in a frenzy, accommodating the new warriors that had arrived as well as figuring out how to take care of the wounded. Eventually they had made their way there. On the outside sat dozens of warriors, weapons in hand, waiting for what was to come next. They scowled at Jennifer as she walked past them, growling and yelling unimaginable words.
CREEEEEAK! The town hall door opened revealing the grim state on the inside. Around the large table were three demigods and in the background stood Kronos with his arms crossed.
A skinny man with winged shoes stood to the left side. He looked to be taller than Leeds and had messy red hair. His green eyes glittered with mischief as he stared at the newcomers. He was wearing pants who's left pant leg was red with a blue snake and right pant leg was blue with a red snake. He wasn't wearing a shirt, showing countless scars along his body, but instead had two golden rings where his biceps started on both arms and golden bracers to match. He was wearing brown gloves with their fingertips cut off and a brown, cowboy hat. His large, silver staff was laid against the table.
He leaned forwards onto the table. "Nice of you to join us Tide Caller." He said aggressively.
Leeds lowered his head. "Don't ever call me that, you two tongued freak." Leeds said threateningly.
He stood up and threw his arms to his side."Or what, you're going to throw a canteen at me?" His tongue flicked out of his mouth revealing it to be forked in two, similar to a snake's but silver.
"Max." Said the girl that was on the right. "Control that mouth of yours, we've already fought too much."
The woman was the shortest person in the room, even shorter than Jennifer. She had light brown hair that was pulled back into a pony-tail, and multicolored eyes. Her right eye was a light blue while the left was a vibrant green. Her ears along with her eyes made her stand out as they were pointed. She had a large chest and slender hips and body. She was wearing short brown shorts and a loose, green, long sleeved t-shirt which hid her hands. She also wore high, black socks that tucked into her shorts and leather boots, showing no part of her body except her head.
"Carla, I have a few things I can say to you as well, you half-breed!" Max shouted across the table.
There was crackling beneath his feet. "Oh, you wanna go?" Max's winged shoes fluttered anxiously.
"MAX! CARLA!" Roared a voice roared from between them.
At the head of the table was a man slumping with his boots propped up. He stood at nearly seven feet tall and was wearing a tattered black, shiny leather jacket whose sleeves had been torn off. On his head was a tattered black hood that covered half his face. The jacket was decorated with skull shaped silver rocks and around his wrists and on his chest. Underneath, he was wearing a simple white t-shirt, torn and singed from combat. He had on ripped black pants that were stuffed into his black, calf-height boots. Around his waist sat a brown, leather belt that sagged down a bit. Sitting against the table was his sword who's blade was as black as night and radiated death. On his fingers he had rings, fashioned from bones of small animals, matching the necklace that hung around his neck. He had shiny blonde hair that stood out from all the black but blended in with his pale skin, and cold, hazel eyes, with the area above and below his left eye having a deep scar going through it but miraculously not damaging his eye.
From afar one could see black wisps radiating off him forming what looked to be people trying to grab and claw at him.
"Bahrny..." Whispered Leeds.
"Leeds… Jennifer… I hope you had fun protecting this stronghold." A cold chill ran through the building as he spoke, freezing everyone in their tracks, "Because we lost Cronell, and many more..."
CREEEEEEAK!!!!! The door to the town hall opened as a girl walked in. The woman looked to be in her early twenties and had fiery red hair and cold white eyes. She stood as tall as Leeds, who was almost seven feet tall. She was wearing a white and gold bra who's front came down and tucked into her tight, brown pants. On her back were two quivers, both brown with white and gold highlights. Pressed into her average sized chest was a string and attached to it was an expensively decorated bow. She had an athletic body and wore knee high brown boots. On her fingers were words, tattooed, continuing until her wrist.
As she walked past she radiated heat, making it seem as if her hair was on fire as it danced to the left and right with her each step.
"And due to such an unfortunate event Claire "White Hawk" Romero, younger sister of Cronell "Blue Phoenix" Romero will take his place as the new demigod of Apollo." Bahrny said coldly as he beckoned her to stand next to Carla.
Bahrney lowered his hand and started fiddling with his rings. "Unlike her brother, Claire specializes in offense, particularly distanced shots, she's a lot stronger than Cronell who only held the position because of his powerful healing ability." Bahrny looked up.
"Max!" He yelled.
Max didn't hear. He was lost in his dream world imagining a future with the beauty who had just walked in and stood in front of him. His eyes had changed into hearts as he was starstruck by her beauty, and started murmuring to himself.
"MAX!" Bahrny yelled again, still unable to bring him out of his dream world.
"Carla, report please." Bahrny said defeatedly.
Carla yawned and blinked a few times before turning to Leeds and Jennifer. "The report… well… I'm not going to lie to you… *yawn* they were expecting us to come… you see… so when we opened the doors…. *yawn* Clytius, Porphyrion, and the others stood waiting… while Damasen and Enceladus blocked the path behind us" She yawned again and rubbed her eyes.
"Safe to say… well… we were pincered and lost a lot of warriors and some fodder helpers too… I'm not going to lie to you… Cronell died trying to save some of the fodder..." She finished.
Bahrny looked up. "Now, start getting ready… we leave on a quest to kill Clytius tomorrow morning!"
