Chapter 2 - Stranded

How long has it been since that incident? I didn't understand what the hell was going on. Oh well... I wish I could've had more time... with them.

I slowly opened my eyes, and I saw large treetops hovering over my face.

I can only hear the sound of trees, roughly brushing down against the leaves. I heard loud cries coming from behind me. High-pitched cries, fitting for a small newborn girl. Wait, that's Teriana isn't it?

The rain stopped, and all I can hear is wildlife. Where did they take us? And also, why the hell is no one looking for us yet?! How far are we from our parents?

Then, I was forced to accept my fate.

We're vulnerable; we're going to die.

Newborns are drastically vulnerable to anything; that's why their parents protect them and care for them. But, now... we don't have any loving parents. We both can't walk, we can't speak, we can't move. The only thing we can do is wail and cry for help.

I heard birds chirping from above. This is the worst reincarnation ever.

The birds don't look like the ones on Earth. They have an odd hue pattern on their feathers. A dark black and a bright magenta color spanned across their wings. They had weirdly blue luminescent curved-shaped beaks, and their eyes glowed a bright blue as well.

Hell, even their chirps are mysterious. This is definitely a fantasy world.

Please... don't kill us. Don't be vultures.

"Wahhh. Wahhh... Wahhh!!"

I heard Teriana; wailing as loud as she could. I couldn't see her; maybe it's because she's behind me? Wow, I just wanted to have a peek and I can't have that.

I just hope we don't get devoured alive by animals. I want to live in a fantasy world and live a better life. To live life to the fullest! Unlike my previous one.

A memory filled my head. The memory of my parents, crying and screaming for me. It gave me a chill down my spine. The look on their faces; looked truly traumatized. My past parents never did that for me. Well I mean, I was their first child; so that may explain it.

* * * *

Two hours have passed, and somehow we are both alive in the wilderness. Teriana stopped crying, and I was beyond afraid. What can I do? I'm a newborn child, I can't do anything.

Then... I heard growls. Growls that sounded like a hungry canine or simply to put it, the growls that sounded like a wolve's. This is literally the worst fate I have so far. I can't do anything; neither can Teriana. All we can do... is just pray.

The wolves slowly approached our way.

I could see that they had thick grey fur and long sharp teeth. The wolves don't look like any of the kind on Earth, thus enforcing the idea that this world is a fantasy world.

Their saliva slowly seeped through their mouths, and their daunting eyes pierced through our souls. This is the end. It's over. I and Teriana are food; that's how it ends.

But soon as the pack of hungry wolves tried to approach us, I could hear a loud, feminine-sounding voice coming from the right side of me.

"For' to lanio!"

Suddenly, four large purple bolts strike the wolves and immediately slain them in an instant. Their ashes slowly rise up to the air. Then, I heard footsteps, gradually approaching closer to us. I could see her long lavender hair, touching down on her back. She wore a beautiful magenta earring on her right ear.

She has yet, another large chest. Wow, this world is filled with gorgeous individuals. It's really making me hate on myself that I'm a baby. Ugh, typical... reincarnation. She wore unfamiliar clothing; it almost matches the hue of her hair. I could feel her gentle hands; pressing on my body. She looks young.

"Dear children, why are you stranded like this? Y-You shouldn't be... who could be so cruel to abandon their newly born child?"

Even her voice sounded soothing. Who is this masterpiece of a woman? She's beautiful!

"Now, now... you two are no filthy demons; you two are of the brightest angels."

Aww, t-that compliment... made me tear up a bit. Well, I am a baby... so I guess that explains why I'm crying so much. I can see her amethst-colored eyes; then saw a minor look of rage surrounding her pupils. Yeah, I would be mad at those guards at well. The woman spoke to us.

"If only the corrupt Kingdom of Zomrack were not so cruel against your race. I-It... no one should leave such angels stranded in the forest. C-Come on... I'll take you to my house. I always wanted children. But, if I'm a Witch, there's no possible way I can have one. If you're born a witch, there is this certain barrier that blocks your reproduction rate. The witch race tried to craft our own children from our magic, b-but that doesn't w-work. They all misunderstood us, we're not..."

She slowly stopped, and stared at both of us, with her gleaming purple eyes. Her youthful look on her face; that smile... I can tell that the woman's smile sparked her heart. W-Wait did she just say she's a witch?!

"There's no point in explaining to you cute perfections. Even if we tried to craft a child with our magic; there would've been no good result. You're too young to understand me anyway."

Nope, I can understand you clear as day. Well, she doesn't know that, I guess.

As the gentle ambiance of the forest filled all of our ears, the witch slowly shook her head and lightly giggled. I could see her long lavender hair; fluctuating whilst the sun beamed on it. She's really beautiful; even if she is a witch. This really pains me that I'm so young that I can't even... ugh.

"Let's say... I take you to my house? Surely it's much better than the wilderness. I can feed you, take care of you, and educate you when you age. I can give both of you relationship advice near the future, as you are both Soulmates. Aww, I can't wait to see you two grow up together."

So, Teriana will be my partner since birth. We would... grow up together? T-That's cool. I just have to accept that this will be my new mother; a witch. Well, if she isn't evil... I guess I have no choice. Judging by her attacks on those wolves, there's no doubt she's powerful. I can understand her; it's just I can't speak right now.

* * * *

I slowly opened my eyes and heard the witch hum an unfamiliar tune. It sounded fast-paced, but also... sounded gentle. I really hope this isn't some sort of trick to eating us while we're sleeping.

"♩ For once the witches go... up and down. We take... another face, to the one... that holds a frown. We cherish; we love, for the ones we loved dear most. Oh please, oh please, don't become one of the Ghosts. Oh one, oh three, we come forth together. We say... we love, will be here forever. Oh one, oh two, we will rise up anew. And three and four, the witches will finally get some more. Oh five, oh six, we will fight off the mist. And seven... and eight, it's not hard to relate. And nine, and ten, we will make a new friend. And eleven, and twelve, one day... I will bid you angels... farewell.... ♩"

Her voice sounded so amazing. The way she sings; along with the environment; it really feels like I'm in heaven. This is no witch; she's a godmother.

I could see Teriana's face; lightly smiling and cheerfully clapping to the tune. Oh, isn't she the cutest?

And... yeah... Airred was right. She also has a Soulmark on her cheek. It kind of looks like a tattoo; on the right side of her face. The same symbol that's shaped like an 'S'. Couldn't that pain that I experienced earlier; come from that same Soulmark? Oh well...

I saw my new mother slowly bending her head down at me; slowly taking a stroll down what seemed to be a hill of grass. Her eyes widened.

"Rest well child. Mommy will wake you up soon."

Her palms were surrounded in a blue luminance; is this some sort of magic? Soon as I knew it, as I saw her bright cheerful smile on her face; I slowly fall back to slumber. And my sight was greeted by darkness.

* * * *

I felt this warmth; resonating within my entire body. Where am I; why does it feel so... cozy in here?

I quickly opened my eyes; just to be revealed that the witch was cradling me. It's like she had an experience when it comes to parenting. Obviously, I couldn't tell if she had experience or not, but for a witch; she's doing a pretty good job right now.

Oh, so that's where the warmth came from. I'm near a fireplace; being cradled in her soft arms; just like what a mother would do if she was taking care of her newborn. Wait, this isn't what I expected from a witch's home?! It's a lot more... refined and fancy. I heard her soothing voice; gently touching my ear.

"Oh, I wish I've wished to have a child to cradle in my arms. You're such a cute little angel; just like my daughter. It appears; that both of the hues on your features oddly match together. It's like your cute little twins. B-But... you two are given Soulmarks, and I suppose you were from different families; judging by the clothing both of you wore."

Her long lavender hair; is touching the entirety of my body. It's so silky and soft... this is like heaven. S-Still... I want to know where Teriana went. Hope she is okay. I can't believe I am forced to grow up with her.

The best relationship is a relationship that you have grown up with since the very start. And I think; this is truly the beginning of something great. I don't have the ability to walk; so I just have to rely on the witch cradling my arms. I'm a newborn; I'm vulnerable okay? But soon; shall I evolve. Adapt to this new fantasy world that I have been reincarnated to, and completely ignore the loser life I had in the past. Although the recent events were most certainly a rough start; soon shall I grow from nothing. My soul... has been reincarnated from nothing.

* * * *

It's been three or four years since my birth. I learned how to talk, but it was only a few words like 'Hello' and 'Goodbye'. I finally learned how to walk; slightly, and I'm starting to grow accustomed to the house I'm living in. Still; I hadn't heard Teriana say her first words; even though we share the same birthday. Hopefully; she speaks her first words at some point this year.

It's the beautiful; mild season of autumn.

Where the leaves slowly fall down, and the trees are prettier than ever.

It appears that the witch owned a mansion; I don't know where she got it, but I do have to say... the service in there is amazing!

All of the maids are so cute. The first maid was my favorite. She looked like was in her early twenties, and she had long black hair. Her blue eyes are gorgeous. She was the one who breastfed me for most of the year. And I just have to say, I really freaking hate that I am a baby. Oh my goodness, if I was an adult right now... I would just do... so many things to her.

She is beyond gorgeous, and I hardly have any knowledge of her origin. Not the typical maid you see in fantasy worlds.

The second maid had long red hair. She was rather feisty and slothful. She doesn't do as much as the other maids; and basically lied to our mother, which now... I know what my mother is named. Her name was Ashia Deamonne. Such a beautiful name; but not fitting for a witch.

Her nature is so kind, and she has done many things for us. She fed us, took care of us, and almost allowed us to go outside. But she never took the time to show us how to use magic. Well, I agree with her. Two years of age is quite young for anyone to learn such magic unless you're some sort of god.

Oh, Teriana has such a long length of hair already. Her eyes; also matched the same color as mine; along with my pale skin, and the color of her hair. The maids crafted a very cute dress for her; a tight jet black dress that reaches down to the bottom of her hips. She has three white dots stretching vertically from the collar area, towards the center of her chest.

She looks very pretty; even at a young age. I can't imagine what she would look like when she is in her teen years. Did I forget that we're both two years of age?

"Now... my little Daskin; do you want my signature crispy and delicious chocolate chip cookies?"

Oh my goodness, her cookies are delicious. I don't know what's in it; but man, is it delicious. The long, scrumptious texture and structure of the treatment are beyond delicious. Speaking of, how does she even know how to bake—

"And little Teriana will also have a nice bite of my cookies. hee hee…"

She lightly hovered her palm over her mouth and released a small giggle. Her face is so pretty; too bad she's my mother. That would be such a weird relationship, and you most definitely know what I'm talking about, right? Well, I guess she hadn't given me birth yet, so I guess that's some sort of plus if I ever wanted to be her 'mate'. Still, I keep my word; it's weird for any son to have a relationship with a mother they hardly know, or to keep it simple, the idea itself is repulsive and disgusting.

* * * *

Studying in a new world is hard. The second maid is extremely frustrated at me for not getting a single answer right on simple, math? Okay, out of all the things that were from my world, why does Math have to be the one to literally blast me out of my wits.

Teriana did, pretty well when it came to simple studies. She got like, a one-hundred out of one-hundred, while I got a plain out, zero. I'm so bad at math; it's literally unbelievable.

Reading, on the other hand, is one of my specialties. Even in a different language; it seems I seem to exceed Teriana's reading skills. There was one book that really caught my attention out of all the hundred books I was forced to read. That book was, "The Tails of The Drunk Dragons." I don't know why the title reminds me of alcoholism, but I'll let it pass; for now...

"My little Daskan, please read this book before I get the urge to throw you out the window-"

"Hey!"

Yup, I knew how to talk. Nice huh. To your eyes, these words make sense since they're written in a language you might understand. But if you really want to remove this filter off the page, all you would get is mumbled garbage; trust me, learning a new language when you're older is a lot more painful than it seems. Luckily I'm young.

"Now, chapter one, the endless bottle."

Okay, seriously, why is this a children's book?

"There once was a nasty dragon who wanted to have friends. Fortunately for him though, he does have a friend. An endlessly refillable bottle of nice, soothing, delicious red wine. Every day the owner of the bottle asked. 'So, when are you going to finish that bottle?', and then... the dragon goes... 'Oh, I umm... need another refill.' The owner sighed and refilled his bottle with a fresh bottle of red wine. The next day comes, and the owner asks. 'So, have you learned something? Did you taste something, different?" And the dragon goes..."

The red-haired maid deepened her voice; trying to entertain me. Suffice to say, wow did that work. She wore the 'traditional' black and white maid dress you see in basically every fantasy show. But, I somehow gained my innocence. I wasn't focusing on her abundantly large chest, which was literally next to my face, moving up and down, instead, I was thinking in my head of what the scene would've looked like.

"Another refill, please. Then the owner said to the dragon with a mellow tone. 'Dragon, if you don't stop drinking that bottle, regret shall come your way. But of course, the tipsy Dragon didn't listen to the owner. But then, one day... when the Dragon came back to the owner; he found that the bottle was still empty. What was he drinking, you ask. Turns out, the Drunken Dragon was drinking... his own urine."

The red-haired maid hastily shouted 'Ewwww', and then launched her two hands to tickle me under the armpit. She was laughing, and so was I. Wow, I never saw the hard-hitting maid smile so brightly before, it's kind of cute actually.

I couldn't scream, because I was drowned in forced laughter, but I do have to say... the red-haired maid is growing a liking to me. She smiled happily, whilst I felt her chest pressing against my face. I also felt her silky red hair, oh boy the maids in here are pretty.

I don't know what she did that other night, but it seemed she had her 'fun' yesterday. Thank goodness I was asleep. I don't want to hear the floors slamming whilst I try to take my well-deserved nap. Okay, I have to admit, I am not that innocent when it comes to 'that' alright. Even though I was alone the majority of my previous life, I still went to those 'websites' every so often. I don't regret it. Every picture was worth it.

I finally knew the red-haired maid's name; her name was, Ashia. Such a beautiful name, again. Even though I was already introduced to her name just a few months ago.

Now... it seems my mother is isolating me and Teriana on purpose... I wonder why?

What is Teriana learning that I'm not, I wonder... Soon enough, maybe I'll find out. Right now is my nap time, and a baby needs rest.

So... night night don't let the bed bugs bite.

Wow, even the voice inside my mind is slowly starting to get contaminated by my youth.
