Chapter 2 - A Menace

My visions where complex, they portrayed the opposite of my everyday environment; colour, maybe too much colour with smiles on certain faces. I had worn different outfits like dresses too my ankles with straw hats that made my hair look marvellous, it was as if I felt adored by something and it began to take a toll on me to love myself too. But why don't I feel the same now? Looking to my left at Jack wondering if he new any answers to my questions. "We're here", a fountain in-front of me made me stop my walking, "is this a fortune fountain?-", "no". Jack pointed at the writing on the fountain but my attention was altered by a puppy who tried jumping up my legs.

At home it was very lonely, it had come to my understanding after two days that my parents where missing. Whilst pouring milk into my bowl of cereal my attention drew to the fridge with images and magnets of some sort.

"Do you like magnets"

"Souvenir magnets or scientific magnets?"

"All"

"I prefer the magnets in which you can never touch them together if they're both the same charge"

My eyes slowly opened and held one of the magnets from the fridge whilst I stood in front of it, an Italian magnet from Rome; it had scratches on the leaning tower of Pisa, Maybe someone didn't like this specific magnet. When eating my cereal I felt the gloom in this house, no sound, no light and it almost didn't feel like it was somewhere I should live.

The next day in school whilst I made my way to the lesson I had to go too Daisy pulled my bag stopping me, "where are you going?". When looking at her I was brought with a surprise, her eyes where dark brown with green surrounding the pupil as if it was grass, her hair sat gently on her shoulders and on her back it was longer with very light highlights in blonde hair. "L-Lesson", why did I stutter? My sight slowly going lower looking at her attire made my cheeks flush. Even her uniform was much neater than mine, "what lesson?", "pardon?". Immediately responding to her she moved her head lower looking at me waving, "eyes up here Pam". She caught me.

Walking with this Angel of a thing it made me feel as if I was a menace to society "you look better Pam", her soft voice tickled my ears making my shoulders perk upwards ever so slightly. "You always look good Daisy", she turned to look at me whilst we walked and she smiled. We so happened to have the same lesson, English. Sitting in the left corner next to the window to me was the best thing that's happened this entire week of disorientation and cereal for every meal I have.

As I turned my pages of my text book backwards looking at my handwriting it even changed, why would it change? It had no meaning to me whatsoever. There was a lot of questions still sitting on my head that just have not been answered or I keep getting distracted.

"Pam"

"Yes"

"Do you feel a level of certainty to our growth as humans"

"No, I feel as if humans themselves can change their way of growth like any organism. We are under the dolphins when it comes to intelligence but we've just taken this too far to the point we will eventually disappear"

Rubbing my face with water in the bathrooms the so called small chin lifted up to look at my self, and I noticed scarring on the left side of my neck.
