"You've been wise little hero" Said a strange voice in the back of her mind. Prim knew she was dreaming, but it felt so real. She could feel the soft grass beneath her bare feet, and taste the salt of the Sagira sea on her tongue.
She was back in the forest. But she was alone.
Then suddenly a figure emerged from the trees. It was the girl.
"It was a wise thing you did, to except Alastar's help" She said folding her hands in front of her.
"Um...well, we didn't have much of a choice did we?"
"There is always another choice"
Prim sighed. "Please tell me your here to help us...To help me"
"You seem to be doing fine on your own"
"I have no idea what I'm doing"
The girl smiled sweetly. "I will give you some advice Primrose"
Prim nodded.
"There is a certain magic in this world. And it resides in the water"
"Are you messing with me?" Prim asked sternly. The girl looked taken aback
"Messing with you..? Never"
All of the sudden Prim was choking on the salt taste in her mouth. Her throat burned with it. Then, the ringing began.
She'd almost forgotten how painful it was. She kicked and screamed but it was of no use.
When she awoke two pairs of anxious eyes were staring back at her.
"What did she say?" Benjamin asked before she could even comprehend what was going on.
"She said... Something about the water" Prim told them. But that was all she could remember. The dream was fading fast. The only thing she had to remind her was the girls voice echoey and far off in her mind, and the sent of salt lingering in her nose.
"That's it?" Dolion said angrily. "That's all she had to say while we're no closer to finding Mazereth then we were the first day we met?!"
"Maybe there was more" Said Benjamin. "Try and remember-"
"I am!" Prim said suddenly. She was irritated. She knew there was more. There was differently more, she just couldn't remember what.
"That's alright" Benjamin sighed once he saw the frustration growing more and more clear in her eyes. "Dolion, what's so special about the water here in the Astral Plane?"
Dolion shrugged. "It's just water. Nothing special"
Dolion groaned and buried his face in his hands. "This is great. The one time the girl shows up to help us Prim can't even remember what it was that was being said"
"You think I meant to forget?" Prim snapped.
"Well your not trying to remember!"
And just like that, their anger had subsided and everything was quiet once again.
"That's not fair" Prim whispered braking the silence.
"I know" Dolion admitted.
"So what are we going to do?" Benjamin asked.
"We have to find out what she was talking about. She said there was something in the water"
"There's nothing in the water" Said Dolion. "I've told you already"
"Well the girl says there is"
Silence again...
"I guess we could walk down to the sea in the morning" Dolion suggested.
"Perfect!" Benjamin exclaimed. "Maybe then you'll remember what it was the girl was talking about"
"It's likely. But I doubt it" Prim sighed. "If I can't remember now what makes you think I'll remember hours from now?"
Benjamin shrugged. "After everything we've been through, dose it really seem impossible?"
Prim thought for a moment, shook her head.
"So then It's settled. We'll have Alastar escort us down to the Sagira sea at first light. And hopefully Prim will remember what it was that the girl had said"
Benjamin and Prim both nodded.
That's when Prim realized something.
"What did she say to you two?" She asked. Benjamin and Dolion both froze for half a second. then they attempted to compose themselves before Prim noticed. But it was already too late.
"What are you talking about?" Dolion asked suddenly.
Prim's eyes flickered from Benjamin to Dolion but neither of them were looking at her.
"You can't be serious" She growled. "You guys are lying to me?"
Both of their eyes snapped up at the same time. "No, we're not-"
"Then how did you know she said anything to me?"
Both of them were silent for a long moment before Dolion said, "It was a message for the two of us. Not you"
Prim glowered at him in disbelief. She wasn't jealous, no. She just didn't understand why they knew something she didn't.
"I thought we were in this together" She said.
"We are!" Benjamin fumed
"Clearly not if you can't even be honest with me!"
"We are being honest" Dolion told her. "We told you everything we could...Where do you think your going?" He asked as she made her way to the tiny front door.
"I need some air"
"That's not safe-"
Benjamin put a firm hand on Dolion's shoulder in order to hold him back.
"She won't be gone long. She's upset, just let her go"
Dolion reluctantly watched as the door shut behind her. He should've gone after her...He should've...
