The next morning Prim woke with a splitting headache.
"Here" Dolion said handing her a huge leaf with a cloudy liquid resting inside of it.
"What is this?" She asked taking it carefully from him.
"It'll help with your head"
Prim glanced over at Benjamin. He nodded. "We all woke up with headaches. But that stuff really helps"
"What is it?" She asked sipping it slowly.
"Er, if I told you, you probably wouldn't want it"
She gave him a skeptical look, but finished it anyway.
"Any monsters last night?" She asked as Dolion helped her to her feet.
"None" He said. "Except a little sprite, but their harmless" He shrugged.
"Good. But now what?"
Dolion and Benjamin exchanged looks then they both shrugged.
"What do you mean you don't know? Dolion, aren't you hear to like, guide us or something?"
"yes but...Everything I've done was what the girl told me to do. Same with you two"
She looked at Benjamin who was perched on a huge rock.
"Well then...We should go back to earth. There we'll be safe and we can come up with a plan"
Dolion shook his head. "There you'll have more enemies then ever before"
"What?"
"You can't go back to earth yet"
Prim sunk back down to the dirt. She sighed raking her hands through her tangled hair.
"Prim...?"
"Give me a second" She whispered. She felt completely helpless. They were stuck in a world that wasn't their own, they had people out for them, and they had to find a way to not be killed by monsters.
"Prim, love, your shaking" Dolion said taking her hands in his.
"I-I'm fine, I just"
"Maybe it's another test" Benjamin exclaimed.
Prim's eyes snapped up and Dolion turned on his heals.
"What?"
"Yeah, like when we had to wake up"
"When you had to what?"
"Nothing"
Prim sighed. "But it feels more complicated then that"
"You forced yourself to wake up to the world around you and your saying this feels complicated? We could go anywhere from here, we'll figure out our way through this. And we'll find Mazereth then defeat him. Then we'll be heroes"
"You'll be legends" Dolion added. "The both of you"
"All three of us" Benjamin smiled.
Dolion nodded then pulled prim up for the second time.
"We'd better get moving. Even though the night has past there are still far more terrifying things in the day as well"
"I'm starving" Prim complained.
Dolion sighed. "i'm sorry Prim. We can't go back to that village because word of our arrival would've spread like wildfire. The next town is thirty miles away"
"That's alright" She forced a smile. "I can wait"
Dolion gave her a weary look, then he sighed and began gathering things they might need on the way.
"Why would we need that?" Prim asked as he picked up a a green plant she didn't know the name of.
"It's green lavender" He handed her a small piece and she sniffed it. Yep, definitely lavender.
"But why do we need it?"
"It's good for repelling insects, treating bug bites, burns, and skin disorders. Also it can relieve itching and rashes; and can also reduce swelling"
"Wow"
"And...Why do we need all of this?" Benjamin asked pointing to a small pile of roots.
"That's Comfrey. It's great for arthritis, bruises and sprains. Just don't eat it"
"Why? What happens if I eat it?"
"It could be damaging to your liver"
He gathered one more bunch of some other plant then the three of them were on their way.
For most of the walk Prim was either watching the suns crimson morning rays cut through the canopy of the trees, or daydreaming to pass some time.
"Shh" Dolion whispered. All of them were as still as marble people as they listened. Prim and Benjamin exchanged confused looks at the same time Dolion smiled and whispered, "Perfect timing"
The trees above them and the grass beneath them swayed harshly as it descended from the clouds.
"Haha, I thought I'd never see you again old friend!" Dolion beamed with excitement.
Prim watched as the dark blue, almost black dragon touched down.
"Guys, this is Nyx. My dragon"
Prim and Benjamin stared in amazement, wonder, confusion...
"Come on, now we have no need for walking!" He called back to them as he climbed onto the giant beast.
"There's a dragon standing in front of me" Prim whispered, dazed.
"Mhm" Benjamin said.
"But dragons don't exist"
"Mhm"
"What are you two waiting for? Would you rather walk?" Dolion asked.
Benjamin took Prim by the hand and helped her onto the dragons scaly back.
"This is impossible"
"Nothing is impossible Love, but certainly not dragons"
