Mr Lee felt some sense of relief after the election. It still baffled Mrs Lee why he was really interested in this election, why his mood lightened up when chairman Kang won, she was a smart woman but he was just being overly protective, he didn't want her involved, he knew the people he was dealing with, they weren't regular people he couldn't risk her life for sth like this.
It's okay not to have money but it's not okay to die. Even though things have been rough, even though his daughter he cherished so much was drifting away from him, it wasn't as much pain as eventually losing her. She was usually not at home because she had to take care of some of his responsibilities, working hard was just out of it because his hard work hadn't been paying off.
Mr Lee was just struggling to have his dinner as usual, his appetite had greatly reduced over time, it was really difficult for him to eat, little wonder why he had become lean and pale.
