Chapter 23 - The Second Regiment: The Encounter III

Zemislav's POV:

*glare*

*Zemislav is so serious upon saying the words he uttered earlier*

*but suddenly*

*poof*

*Zemislav remembered something*

Oh wait a minute!

*dj crashed sound*

I already made that vow ever since I was 10 years of my age.

*crow of awkwardness*

. . .

My bad.. my bad...

Heheheheheh!

*a moment of silence*

*Zemislav take a look at Tigreal who's tailing behind him*

*Zemislav looks at him for a minute*

Well, good thing Tigreal gone promoted at 14.

. . .

An actual age of a rookie knight.

Still young but still it's okay.

. . .

Oh yeah? I forgot about something.

Some facts of mine which I, haven't told my wife yet.

*a moment of silence*

I'm....

*inhale*

*exhale*

I'm a f*ck*ng clown...

BAH-HA!!!

Well, joke only.

The thing that I haven't able to tell my wife is, I became a warrior at an early age.

Well, I haven't join the path of Knighthood yet since I need to train first and become a Squire, then promoted or I dunno the f*ck's stages I must go through to become a knight back then.

. . .

So, I beg my father to train me as a hunter at an early age.

My father taught me a lot in hunting.

My favorite part is hunting wild boars, grizzly bears, and I even hunt Lizardmen at that time.

*glare in a comical way*

Which is forbidden and dangerous.

*cricket sounds*

*pft!*

Ahahahahah!

Back then, I didn't know a f*ck*ng thing on what sort of animals or creatures that I needed to hunt.

What matters to me is hunting big creatures.

Ya know, the bigger you earn, the delighted the stomach is.

And....

Everyone won't be fighting over for food.

Ahahahahah!!!

And oh?? Due to my hobby of hunting every thing that looks delicious, I accidentally hunted a Lizardmen.

Which I, already mentioned earlier.

. . .

*pft*

*holding laughter*

You know what?

*holding laughter*

I even showed it to my father and my tribesmen of what I've caught and they all said...

"WHAT IN THE HEAVENS HAVE YOU DONE???!!"

"ARE YOU COMPLETELY OUT OF YOUR MIND??!"

"THAT'S A LIZARDMAN!"

"OoOoOooOooHhHhhHh!!! Fairies of the beast, please have mercy on this child!"

*cricket sounds*

So yeah, they scolded me for hunting a Lizardman.

Ahahahahah!!!!

. . .

My tribesmen said that I need to give it a burial because if the other Lizardmen found out I killed one of their kind, they'll ceaselessly going to hunt me.

Well...

REALLY??? Like... WHAT THE F***??!!

Who would I believe such a thing??

*pft!!!*

Heheheheheh...

You see, I'm a naughty boy so, it's only natural of me to not follow what they said to me though.

. . .

You see... Here's the thing....

I have this attitude of mine that whenever I get something, I wouldn't waste it, instead I need to do something on it which I see fit.

*glare impishly in a funny way*

So of course I...

*holding laughter*

Lied at them and I head towards the Shadow Swamp and quickly I...

*a moment of silence*

Hehehehe...

Want to know what I did on Lizardman's body at the Shadow Swamp?

. . .

I grilled it.

*Dun Duun DUUUNNNN!!!*

. . . .

Ahahahahah!!!

I even shared my feast towards fellow Lizardmen who looked hungry.

BAH-HA!!!

Don't touch me, I'm generous killer.

*laughing out out*

*a moment of silence*

At that time, I'm craving for meat and also, I wanted to taste something new, so I grilled the Lizardman and eat it.

And share my food to other creatures as well.

*yummy*

Ahahahahah!!!

. . .

Oh yeah? Where was I anyway?

Hmmm....

Aha!

The young age thingy!

Ooh! I almost forgot about that one! Good thing I remembered.

. . .

Okay, here's the story telling folks...

Back then, even though I have gained so much experience through hunting and stuff, I'm still having a f*ck*ng hard time applying to the Light's Order.

*saddened*

Because I'm a foreigner in Lumina and...

*sigh of disappoinment*

And an underage.

. . .

Heheheheheh!

*Zemislav smiles*

Like what I said earlier, I live in a small village of tribesmen that resides in the borders of Moniyan and Azyrya.

But to be honest, the tribe that resides in whatsoever called my 'home' is the union of two different tribes; my mother's tribe, and my father's tribe.

My mother's tribe were originally from Black Forest.

( Narrator: Black forest is a dense and primitive ancient forest, where no one knows what lies inside it. )

My mother used to say that their tribe used to live there peacefully among the vile creatures that inhabits there.

But when the arrival of the Unknown Messenger, mother said that their tribe experienced great disaster and outrage to other land, which made them forced to migrate from Black Forest to the Borders of Moniyan and Azyrya.

My father is the reason why my mother and her tribe now coexist.

. . .

The younger me ask or wondered how my father and mother known each other so, my mother told me that she and him used to be acquaintance at that time.

Their communication still goes on until they've became close friends.

The moment when my father found out the tragedy that struck my mother's tribe, he convinced his kinsmen to provide shelter for his friend from Black Forest.

My father and his kin used to lived in the Borders of Moniyan and Azyrya, so yeah, you know how it goes.

Hehehehehe!!!

. . .

After all that thingy, they formed mutual relationship to each other, then my mother and father fell in love to each other, and here I am, I'm brought to existence.

Heheheheheh!

. . .

And that's all there is for now. I've remembered my origin somehow.

. . .

*saddened*

The outrage of the past is severe, and my people are suffering from it, so I decided to join the Light's Order to earn some privileges.

Since money is more important at that time, so in order to help my people from rebuilding, I need to travel and work for more civilized and modern cities, like Lumina.

*a moment of silence*

The Light's Order today is completely different before.

The Light's Order of the past is so strict maan! You can't enter if you failed to pass the conditions.

*clears throat*

So, since I'm so f*ck*ng kind, I'll tell you the conditions. The conditions were;

(1) You must be a Moniyan Citizen

(2) Men only; and

(3) Kids who are 7 years old are only allowed to become a knight in Light's Order.

. . .

Well, if you were to ask me, the only condition which I managed to achieve is...

*breaths*

Condition number two, which is 'Men' only.

The rest? A BIG NO, NO to them.

. . .

I'm only able to be accepted it's because I undergo some strict and harsh trials, or let's just say they gave me severe trials to accomplish.

Which is a pain in the *ss!

. . .

Oops! My bad.

Hahahahahah!

*a moment of silence*

Oh? It's been too long since I've managed to talk freely to my mind.

*sigh of relief*

Anyway, all you need to remember is that, I'm accepted at the Light's Order at age 5.

I became a Squire at the age of 7 and finally, I became a rookie knight at the age of 10.

*a moment of silence*

Too young to become a knight, right?

Ahahahahahah!

*a moment of silence*

To tell you honestly, at age of 8, even though I'm still a Squire back then, I'm already tasked to participated in war which is, a great opportunity to have greater experience in the midst of battlefield.

Well.... it's a good thing to hear if you badly wants some b*llsh*t experience.

I thought that I'm doing fine but... Umm... back then, someone told me that it's illegal for a Squire to partake any actual battle.

A kind knight said to me that a squire's duty is to assist the knight during battles but since I'm a foreigner, I am treated unequally to the rest.

. . .

Upon hearing that sort of fact, well, it was a shock for me. Really!

But even though it ends like that, I don't mind at all. What matters to me is to learn at that time.

. . .

*wondering*

The first war I participated when I was 8 years old is.....

. . .

The area is... Umm...

*Zemislav snapped*

HOLY M*TH*RF*CK*NG SH*T!!! I forgot! D*MN IT!

F*CK! F*CK! F*CK! F*CK!!!

Why did I forgot the important events of my life??

I'm such an *ssh*l*!

*sob*

Anyway, during my early days of experience, I've witness different types of cruelty of this world.

Especially those DETESTABLE demons who kept on wreaking havoc in this land.

*a moment of silence*

*saddened*

I wanted to decrease this world's suffering, just a bit.

. . .

I ceaselessly train to protect the weak who were involved in this war.

*saddened*

With countless battles I have taken, I slowly realized that privilege no longer matters to me anymore.

. . .

Before I decided to enter the path of Knighthood, the only thing which I wanted to gain is privileges, which I already mentioned earlier.

*smiles*

It's one of my reasons why I badly wanted to become a knight at that time.

Ahahahahah!

Boy! Such a greedy f*ck*r!

Wahahahaha!!

. . .

Many years have passed, thanks the heavens, I accomplished what I have envisioned.

*smile*

I am now legible of obtaining Privileges successfully.

*gentle smile*

It's the reason why me and my parents moved to Lumina City by the way.

I told my people to move at Lumina but they insist of leaving so, yeah. You can't force a person to make them abide you after all.

. . .

I wonder how they're doing now? I heard that they've transferred different cities in the Empire.

. . .

Well, who cares? They're on their own!

Wahahahahaha!!!!

*a moment of silence*

*smiled*

Thanks to the Lord of Light, he helped me reach my dreams, for me and my family.

. . .

But, it does not end there yet.

I kept being dispatched to different high-risk missions and always brought victory and glory afterwards.

But...

*saddened*

As cycle keeps on, I slowly realized that Privileges no longer matters to me anymore, again.

I know, I'm greedy f*ck*r and I know it but..When I continuously witnessed the harsh events that occurred in this land makes me think that, fighting for wealth is no longer necessary but for the sake of the weak.

. . .

I'm tired... So tired in this endless war...

If I give up, what good does it bring? Will it help the cycle to end?

. . .

No, right?

. . .

Backing out doesn't mean you are free of troubles, especially you are one of the warriors of the conflict, it'll going to haunt you till you die.

So retreating from the conflict is not a good idea.

I promise.

. . .

If you try and try to escape, it could either cause a tragic event which will make you regret your decision afterwards.

. . .

*a moment of silence*

*smiles with mixture of sadness*

When will peace be granted?

Is complete eradication of demons is the key to end suffering? Since when they've emerge to the surface, everything acts this way?

Are the demons are to blame?

Or...

Is it our unrivaled pride and selfish desires that triggered all this conflict?

. . .

I don't know...

. . .

But I do hope this endless cruelty will come to end. And peace shall prevail in this land full of suffering.

*gentle smile*

I do hope... I'm not being delusional or anything.

. . .

*saddened*

Ya know, like I said earlier, I'm so f*ck*ng tired of witnessing these m*th*rf*ck*ng, repetitive cycle for *ssh*l* years.

. . .

Yes, I'm tired...

So f*ck*ng tired that I badly wish I was a God and with just one snap of my fingers, everything will end.

*smiles*

But sad to say, I'm just an *ssh*l* human. And all I can do is f*ck*ng dream freely like those b*llsh*ts out there.

*laugh in disbelief*

F*ck! F*ck! F*CK Y**, you sh*tty *ssh*l*s!

*laugh*

Oh well, dreaming is not a bad thing.

So, keep dreaming you m*th*rf*ck*rs!

WAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

D*mn! I can't believe I trashtalk my thoughts right now.

Ahahahahahah!

This is so f*ck*ng hilarious....

Narrator's POV:

Zemislav and his regiment...

*armor clanging while walking*

They continue to march until they reached the borders of the Azyrya Woodlands.

*nature's sound*

*Tigreal flinched*

WHA-?!

What's this sensation? It's so...

*sweat drips on Tigreal's head*

*gulp*

Ominous...

*Tigreal felt uneasy*

. . .

This place...

*creepy sounds howling in the winds*

Is lingering with danger.

*Tigreal's still in shock but suddenly, he heard a voice*

"Sir Tigreal, you sensed it did you?"

- Mentor Zemislav seriously ask.

*Tigreal's startled*

"The corruption, the peril, and portentous presence of the Abyss in this place."

- Mentor Zemislav seriously said.

*Tigreal tried to scan the place*

*Tigreal saw that the place is dying and suffering due to Abyssal Corruption*

*at that time, his mentor Zemislav is on his side*

*Tigreal still speechless but still tried his best to ask his mentor*

"What the-... -heck have happened in this place, mentor Zemislav?"

- I ask in disbelief.

*Zemislav listens*

"The trees withered, the swamps are all muddy and the skies, it's shrouded in darkness."

- I ask in disbelief.

*Tigreal felt the dread of this place and Zemislav does not show any reaction regarding of what happened here*

*a moment of silence*

"Tigreal, you've finally witnessed how the corrosion of the Abyss affects the land."

- Mentor Zemislav ask.

"Have you imagined? Without the Lantis mountain, did you think the Moniyan Empire still look the same?"

- Mentor Zemislav said.

*Tigreal still shivering due to disbelief*

"Do you think the places that the mountain have failed to protect, feels the same way as the Empire you knew?"

- Zemislav said.

". . ."

- Barry gone silent.
