When she finished showering, she put on a bathrobe and came out of the bathroom with her eyes alert.
"When a girl finishes cleaning up, the groom usually ambushes her, takes her to bed, and they spend the first hot night together!"
Imagining it all in her head made Vira's face turn red. She stomped her feet like an excited fool, embarrassed by her thoughts.
She tightened the bathrobe straps around her body, making sure her flat chest didn't peek out and tempt the groom to lust after it.
With a suspicious look on her face, she slowly stepped out of the bathroom, prancing like a thief.
Vira reached for her suitcase, placed in the corner of the room, not far from the large wardrobe that adorned the hotel room, decorated beautifully with flower petals.
Vira shuddered as she saw the flower decorations, especially the heart shape on the bed, which was neatly arranged with red rose petals.
"I won't be able to sleep here tonight. I'd prefer a cramped boarding house with a regular foam mattress over a soft mattress in a five-star hotel... but with a rude foreign man!"
Vira grumbled to herself as she opened her suitcase and looked for the clothes she would wear tonight.
She took out her Mickey Mouse-print pajamas, her favorite sleepwear.
Vino finished his work on the balcony and went into the room, watching Vira, who was happily slipping into her Mickey Mouse pajamas. She hadn't noticed him a few seconds ago when she'd been babbling to herself.
"Who are you calling a rude foreign man?"
Vira massaged her neck, which suddenly felt goosebumps. She was just about to apply body lotion to her legs when Vino's voice startled her.
"Ahh..." she muttered, trying to think of an excuse.
Her eyes grimaced in regret for what she had just said. She didn't know Vino was still in the same room with her.
"Oh! I'm talking about someone else!" Vira replied, her face full of guilt.
Vino cleared his throat in a deep voice. He placed both hands on his hips.
"And... what's that you're wearing?"
Vira frowned. "Oh... this!" She held up the body lotion she had just squeezed. "Ah, you don't know what this is! It's body lotion because my skin was dry. I have to use this!" Vira answered proudly, showing off the cheap body lotion she'd brought from the village.
Vino shook his head. "Where's the skincare set, the clothes, the jewelry, the shoes, and the bags I sent you? I never buy cheap things for you."
Vino's voice sounded harsh. He didn't seem impressed by what Vira had shown him.
"Tsk, what are you talking about? In my entire life, until I was twenty, this is the most expensive skincare I've had!" With an indifferent face, she rubbed the lotion, drop by drop, on her hands and feet.
She took a tiny drop of lotion, which seemed like the most expensive lotion she had ever bought.
"Hey! You're not joking, are you?" Vino said, pulling Vira's hand away from her leg.
Vino's actions shocked Vira. "Why do you like to be rude to women? You won't even let me put lotion on my skin." Vira asked, confused.
"And... can you not grip my wrist so tightly? It hurts and I don't like it!" Vira whispered, her face showing annoyance.
"Ah, sorry," Vino said, suddenly letting go of his grip. "I just get annoyed when I ask you to talk. Can you look at my face, not your legs!" Vino added, looking for an excuse, as his gaze shifted away.
He was trying to cover up the fact that Vira's long legs had distracted him just five seconds ago, and he felt embarrassed.
"So I have to look at your face when we talk, even though I'm putting lotion on my feet?" Vira chuckled irritably.
"Alright! Now let's talk, I'll look at your face..." Vira put away her lotion and now looked directly at Vino's face, her husband.
Gulp!
Vino quickly looked away, avoiding Vira's eyes.
"Let's talk. What did you want to talk about? About this strange agreement, this sudden marriage, or... the expensive things you sent me but I never received?" Vira said, getting everything out in the open.
"You know, I'm a young CEO at Company X. I'm good at speaking, presenting, and negotiating. I've never lost a tender I've worked on. Failure isn't in my vocabulary."
Vira blinked several times. She was growing more confused by the sharpness in Vino's eyes and his rambling words.
"I have the best company status in town. I own expensive and classy properties, and my businesses in entertainment and tourism are also doing well..." Vino said with a flat expression, his voice filled with pride.
Hah! Vira was speechless. Her mind was blank!
"I don't want any failure in my life, in anything. Including..." Vino stopped speaking.
"Wait..." Vira whispered in a low voice, which gave Vino goosebumps.
"Are you speaking in a world forum, at the office, with your subordinates? I have nothing to do with anything you said earlier. Talk about something that concerns my life and my future!" Vira chuckled, irritated, folding her arms across her chest. After all, she was a twenty-year-old girl who hadn't fully matured.
"All I want to know is, can we cancel the marriage agreement, and you let me go so I can go to college?"
"No! I told you I don't like failure!" Vino interrupted quickly.
"What failure? You've failed from the start! You mistook me for Lisa, but I'm not Lisa, I'm Vira!"
Vino scratched his forehead. "Sorry for that mistake, but I won't break our agreement for my future!"
"Then what about my future?" Vira asked, not accepting Vino's words.
"What's the future?"
Vino's question made Vira hate him even more. "You think you're the only one who wants to succeed. Do you think you have a future and are afraid of failure? I do too!"
"I didn't match your level of success. I know you, that's why you want to marry me!" Vino pointed at Vira's face with a condescending expression.
The man got up from the bed and stood, leaving Vira, who was still angry with his earlier words.
"Where are you going? Explain first what you meant by what you said!"
Vira pulled Vino's wrist, causing him to lose his balance.
They fell onto the bed decorated with red rose petals.
Their bodies shook the beautiful decorations of their first night until the flower petals flew and scattered into the air.
Several flower petals fell on the back of Vino's broad back, which crushed his wife's body.
Their faces were mere centimeters apart. Vira was stunned by how close he was.
Her hand rested on Vino's waist, the other on the base of his muscular arm.
Unconsciously, she swallowed hard.
The mature man before her was extremely handsome.
No wonder the guests at the wedding had been so amazed.
His eyes, pitch-black and deep, his sharp nose, and perfectly sculpted lips—sexy and seductive.
Wait, wait...
She was a twenty-year-old girl with no experience with men, but why did her mind race when she saw Vino's face so close?
"What, are you going to kiss me now?" Vira asked suddenly, her face turning red.
Her voice was so weak, her breath warm on Vino's face.
"Don't do anything to me..." Vira whispered, turning her face away. Her face was burning red.
She said she didn't want him to do anything, but her face looked seductive, a sharp contrast to her words.
Vira bit her lip.
Vino slowly lowered his head to the left side of Vira's face, making her breath quicken.
"I have no desire to make love to a Mickey Mouse," Vino whispered before getting up, leaving Vira lying on the bed.
"Change your clothes!" Vino threw a shopping bag toward her.
"It's a gift from my stepmother. Maybe the clothes she gave you will be better than the Mickey Mouse pajamas you're wearing!"
Vira took the clothes from the shopping bag she'd just received.
"WHAT?!"
Vira's scream made Vino turn around. "Why?" he asked with wide eyes, nearly falling out of his chair.
"No... way..." Vira whispered, her horrified face staring at the lingerie in her hand.
