Vira waited for Vino to finish showering for an hour and a half. She paced back and forth, pouting her lips and occasionally glancing at the bathroom door, hoping her husband would hurry up.
"It's nine o'clock in the evening, how can malls and shops still be open?" Vira whispered to herself.
After his shower, Vino was supposed to take Vira shopping for clothes and some of her necessities.
She had been waiting almost two hours, and Vino still hadn't finished.
"Did he take a bath with the kids? This is wasting time!" Vira muttered impatiently.
Click!
The sound of the bathroom door opening made Vira immediately walk over to Vino, who had just emerged from the bathroom.
"How many liters of water do you use for a shower? I'm tired of waiting! You said you were going to buy me clothes. It's already evening—are there even any stores open?"
Vira blocked Vino's path, an impatient look on her face. She tugged at the hem of the oversized white t-shirt she was wearing, which had small embroidery on the chest.
Vira was wearing one of Vino's shirts—it was too big for her. She had been forced to wear it because Vino didn't like her Mickey Mouse pajamas or any of her other clothes. He said they were old and outdated.
Vino was still drying his head with a towel. When he saw Vira in his shirt, he was surprised.
"You..." Vino's skin was still damp and warm.
Vira lowered her head when she realized Vino was only wrapped in a towel around his waist. She froze.
Her face turned red, and she took a step back, trying to hide her shock by covering her mouth with one hand.
She turned around quickly, closing her eyes. "Ah, sorry! I didn't know you were naked! Why aren't you wearing clothes in the bathroom?" Vira shrieked, her face burning.
"Hah!" Vino stared dumbfounded at the towel wrapped around his waist, turning away.
He hid his flushed face. "Sorry! But I'm not naked. I usually have my maid dress me."
"What?!" Vira hissed under her breath.
"But since I'm married now and living alone, I didn't bring my maid," Vino explained, still drying his hair.
"Huh, don't tell me you've never worn your own clothes before?" Vira asked sarcastically.
Vino didn't answer. He simply nodded slightly, trying to look calm.
"Then tonight, are you going to wear clothes for the first time in your life?" Vira asked again, incredulously.
Is there anyone in this world who has never worn clothes? I've been cooking, washing dishes, and doing laundry since I could walk! Vira grumbled to herself.
"Yeah, wearing clothes seems easy," Vino replied.
"Very easy!" Vira mocked. "Now, put your clothes on. I'll wait in the living room and pretend I'm blind, staring at the TV!" She walked into the small room, where there was a television and a sofa.
Vira plopped down on the sofa. "Geez, I can't believe this guy's lifestyle! He looks older but acts like a child!" Vira shook her head.
A few minutes later…
"Oh my! If he does anything else, it looks like he'll take forever!" Vira muttered as she stepped back into the bedroom.
"Are you done yet?" she called as she entered the room.
Her eyes widened when she saw Vino.
Vino was struggling to button the cuffs on his shirt. He turned his head when he noticed Vira standing there.
"Are you working late on our first night as a married couple?" Vira scoffed.
"Shouldn't we go out to buy clothes for you?" Vino asked.
"Yes, you promised earlier. But... why are you wearing a shirt and pants like that? Complete with shiny leather loafers!" Vira hissed in disbelief.
"It's night now, Vino. Forget the shopping! The mall and clothing stores are closed at this hour. You should hurry up and change. Are you really going to wear a shirt to sleep?" Vira waved her hand lazily and sat back on the bed.
"We can shop at a boutique. They'll open as long as I ask!" Vino said.
Vira frowned at his words. "Huh? No... you're not going to trouble the workers. They should be at home resting. They don't need to work overtime for me," she reasoned.
"Why? I'll pay. If I'm paying, they can work overtime. They serve, and I pay—sounds fair, doesn't it?" Vino said confidently.
Vira was silent for a moment, considering his words.
"It's not about fairness. You're only thinking about yourself. One person shouldn't cause problems for everyone else," Vira explained.
Vino shrugged lightly, not agreeing with her. "Your words don't make sense. As long as you have money, you can do whatever you want," Vino replied.
Vira was about to argue, but Vino picked up his phone and made a call.
"Hello, M Boutique. I'm coming to shop this evening. Be ready with your best items," he said into the phone.
Vira stared at him in disbelief. Is he serious?
Vino hung up the phone and turned to her.
"Are you ready? Let's go." He waved his hand, beckoning her to follow.
"Vino, wait!" Vira said.
Vino paused. "What's wrong?" he asked.
"You... better not wear formal clothes like that. I'm only wearing your oversized t-shirt. We look mismatched," Vira pointed out.
"Why? This is my style!" Vino replied lightly.
"But it's night, Vino. Do you really wear a shirt at night?" Vira couldn't believe his look.
"No, I wear pajamas at night. I never go out at night, so I just wear pajamas now," Vino explained.
Vira couldn't believe what she was hearing. "If you wear pajamas, then I'll wear my favorite Mickey ones!" she threatened.
"No, please! I have a phobia of mice!" Vino exclaimed seriously.
"Alright, I'll follow your wishes and buy new clothes. But... you have to follow mine too. Deal?" Vira began negotiating.
Vino seemed to think for a moment before nodding doubtfully. "What do you want?" he asked.
Vira opened the glass cabinet in the room, took some clothes, and placed them on the bed.
"Wear these," she requested.
Vino bowed slightly and examined the clothes she had chosen.
"I didn't know there were clothes like this in the wardrobe," he said, astonished. "Can I wear this?" he asked, confused.
Vira glanced at the clothes she'd picked. What's wrong with them? There's nothing wrong with wearing a t-shirt, hoodie, and sweatpants!
"Are you not allowed to wear casual clothes?" she asked, surprised. Her husband's words sounded absurd.
"Isn't that so?" he scratched his neck, slightly displeased. "Clothes like this remind me of unemployed guys walking around the streets."
"Gah!" Vira raised her voice in disbelief. "What you said is ridiculous!" she snapped, irritated.
"You can't appreciate how comfortable and nice these clothes are!" Vira argued.
"Okay, we're not going to argue all night!" Vino relented, picking up the hoodie and starting to try it on.
"Oh my husband!" Vira hissed in disbelief when Vino layered the shirts with the hoodie.
"Take off your shirt first!" Vira insisted.
"Hah!" Vino sighed, rubbing his face in frustration.
"Why are you sighing when I ask you to take off your shirt?" Vira asked, confused.
"I get it now. There are so many tricky girls these days trying to get a man!" Vira froze, holding the hoodie in her hand.
"You're asking me to take off my clothes on purpose, right? Looks like you can't forget my six-pack when I came out of the bathroom earlier."
Vino looked at her with intense eyes. He placed his hand on the bed where Vira was sitting, trapping her with both hands.
Vino unbuttoned the top of his shirt and started to open it. He chuckled, teasing her.
"Tsk, I'm not really interested in doing this, but the sooner we have children, the better!" he said with a teasing smile.
Vino lowered his head towards her face, his eyes focused on her pink lips. His gaze was seductive as he leaned in, ready to kiss her for the first time.
Swoosh!
Vira quickly pulled the hoodie over Vino's head, leaving it tangled around his neck.
"It's up to you what you want to wear, but I'm not wearing yours!" Vira said, preparing to leave the room.
