Vira was surprised. She paid close attention to her husband's face as her body increasingly pushed him.
If anyone else saw this scene, they would surely mistake it. Vira looked aggressive, with eyes that seemed to want something, while her husband's face looked hesitant and unready.
"What's wrong?" Vira asked, confused.
When she was ready like this, her husband seemed the opposite.
"I... I'm thirsty. My throat is dry," Vino whispered.
Hearing her husband's whisper made Vira smile thinly. She pulled back so he could sit normally again.
Vira took the glass that Herman had prepared earlier. Vino occasionally glanced at her, his gaze carrying a strange meaning.
Vira held out the glass to her husband. "Are you sleepy?" she asked in a soft, attentive tone, waiting for him to finish the drink before putting the glass away.
"A little. I seem a bit tired tonight," Vino replied, and she understood.
