Sonya stopped eating when she realized he was eating at all. "you are not eating again" she said.
"i just love watching you eat. its kind of interesting to me" he answered.
"why is the way i eat interesting? is he playing with her" she thought.
"do you have a boyfriend" he suddenly asked and move closer to her.
"no" she look at him strangely and answered.
"then do you have someone you like" he asked and moved closer again.
"no i don't" she answered again and took a spoonful of chicken soup.
"what did you think about me then" Sonya split the chicken soup in her mouth on his face, shocked.
"sorry, am so sorry" she quickly apologize. Maxwell pick up a tissue and wipe his face.
"you've not answered my question" he said.
"what question? i don't understand" Maxwell smiled.
"okay then, i will be more straight with you. what do you think of me as your boyfriend?" he asked again. Sonya felt her throat dried and start coughing. Maxwell rub her back to stop the cough.
"you are really straight forward" she said after calming down. "then should I be more straight forward? i like you" he drop the word and Sonya went into another round of cough again. Maxwell rub her back again and wait for her to calm down. Sonya still coughing was shocked and surprised.
"he likes me, be my boyfriend. Has he gone crazy?" she screamed in her head.
"ahem, Mr Hart i think there is some kind of misunderstanding here. its does not make any sense for you to like me. i mean its ridiculous" she finally answered.
"do you believe in love at first sight" he asked her his hand still on her back. Sonya stares at his eyes.
"love at first sight? What nonsense is that?" she wondered. "but he does not seems like he was joking with his word. he look pretty serious" she thought. there was silence between them and they stare at each other. Maxwell eyes fell on her lips and he stares at them more. she had no lipstick on and her lips looks delicious and inviting. he swallowed hard and tried his best to stop himself from kissing her. they both realized that they were too close to each other, they both looked away at the same time and Sonya stood up immediately.
"i think i should go now its getting late" she said and quickly walk out of the office. Maxwell also stood and followed her out. they both left the company together. Maxwell drove her to her house
"you remember what i told you right" he asked immediately he pull up at her house.
"think about it carefully and and give me your answer and don't think am joking about it" he said again. Sonya open the door and came out of the car.
"and i wont take no for an answer" he said just before she could leave. Sonya ran inside and shut the door. Maxwell laugh at her behaviour and waited for a while until he saw the light turned on before he drove off.
"Sonya you are back! Do you want some rice" loveth said from the dinning.
"its okay i ate already" loveth walk to her.
"you too, how could both of you eat outside without me" she said and pouted.
"Huh, sorry baby" she said to coax her.
"where is Evelyn" she asked.
"she is in her room. she seems to be in a very bad mood" loveth whispered to her ears.
"did anything happen at school today" she said and look toward Evelyn's room.
"i don't know, she left the school earlier than me. anyways be careful and avoid her for awhile" she said and went back to the dinning. Sonya went to her room and wondered what the issue could be with Evelyn. after taking a shower and settling down, her mind went back to Maxwell.
"He said him likes me, how did that happen" she wondered. and recollect the way he said 'I like you' and felt her heart beating fast. she put her hand on her chest to stop it from beating fast.
"is not possible i like him, its just because this is the first time someone confess to me and because he's handsome. wait! did i just say he's handsome. this is bad, what if he's joking or playing around. but he has this serious look on his face and why will he joke with me about something like that" multiple thoughts run through her mind and she find it difficult to sleep.
"what should i do? should i really consider him? but he is Hart, a billionaire, is it even possible between us? no no, i better avoid him. falling for him will just be at my own risk" she concluded and prepare to sleep then she remember that she has not talk to Simon that day
"there is no need. i will just do that another day" she thought before she finally fell asleep.

"inform everyone to gather for an emergency meeting right now" Maxwell instructed his assistant immediately he get to his office and also ask Mr Philips secretary to also attend and get everything ready for the meeting in five minutes. Micheal went out immediately to carry out his instructions.
"Amy, the CEO calls for an emergency meeting with all executives and Mr Philips secretary should be included in four minutes from now. i will take care of the meeting room, just make sure you inform everyone on time" he instructed and walk away to complete the task. Amy quickly send a message to all the executives and pick up the necessary things needed for the meeting and head to the meeting room.
in less than five everyone rush to the meeting room and starts to discuss what the purpose of the emergency meeting is for. "Mister what is this emergency meeting about?" Amy lean in to Micheal and whispers.
"miss, why don't you ask your boss directly if you are that curious" Micheal whispered back.
"how can you say it like that, am just asking because emergency meeting like this is always about someone"s doom" she whispered again.
"if you didn't do anything wrong then don't worry about it" he said and signal to her to announce Maxwell's present. everyone stood up and wait for Maxwell to sit before sitting down.
"am sure you are all wondering why i called you all" Maxwell started. he signaled to Micheal and his switch the project on and display the financial statement of the company for the last two years.
"i want everyone to focus on that and tell me if you found anything wrong with it" he said again. everyone turn their attention to it and start to discuss silently.
"Mr Philip, what can you say about it?" he faced him.
"what are you insinuating? you just demoted me not long ago. are you trying to find another reason to send me away from the company permanently?" he said raising his voice. Maxwell laugh dryly.
"Keith, come forward" he said to Mr Philip secretary. he stood up and went forward.
"you are the one in charge of the financial record at the time we invested in B&B and the ENG company right?" Micheal questioned.
"yes" he replied.
"how much is the turnover for the two deal?" he asked him again.
"sixty billionaire from the first one and thirty billionaire from the other one" he answered.
"what are you trying to do?" Mr Philip interrupted feeling unease. He had taken care of the real record about it so there is no way it will be traced back to him. Maxwell ignored him and ask Micheal to continue. Micheal nodded and face Keith. "how much do you record down?" Keith hesitated before speaking.
"it was Mr Philip who took care of it and he just ask me to balance it all for that month and make sure the account is balanced" he raising his voice a little. Mr Philip flare up immediately.
"what the hell are you saying? and you Maxwell, are you going to believe a mere employee over me, how are you going to explain this to your father" Maxwell hit the table interrupting him. everyone was sacred and there was silence. "mind the way you talk to me" he said and stood up from his seat.
"how are you going to explain the shares you bought in B&B two days after. you bought shares worth more than five billionaire and in exchange for that you help them to secure some of the company's share" he said as he walk to him. "what evidence do you have to prove that" Mr Philip said not willing to give up.
"evidence?" Maxwell said and smirk then he walk back to his seat. he signal to Micheal and the police entered. "the evidence is with the police. you can talk more about it with them and also your appointment with this company is terminated as from now on. And i will make sure to get back every penny you embezzled" he said and signal to them to take him.
"Mr Philip you are under arrest for illegal transfer of shares and embezzling the company fund" the police said and face Keith.
"Mr Keith you are also under arrest for tampering with the company's account record" he said and they took both of them away. No one dares to move in the room. everyone was sacred for their head.
