Bryson POV
She needs to know the truth and all of it. I cannot keep anything from her. I know that the minute that I keep anything from her that she will never trust me at all. "Taila, mates are special to us. Mates are the one person that we can never hurt and never abandon. We spend our lives waiting for our mate. At the age of 21 we are able to sense our mates. We have waited 5 years for you. And I am not letting you walk away from me."
"You will find someone else. You will fall for someone else."
"That is where you are wrong. You see when we find our mate, we can no longer enjoy the company of another woman. We only hold desire for our mate, I only have that for you. Mates are our other half, they complete us. They balance us where we need to be balanced. So love, do not think that we would ever walk away from you. You are perfect to us. There are things that you do need to know, but we can talk about them when ever you are ready. But, I promise you this, I will take our relationship at your pace and I will never push you to do anything that you are not ready for. I will never do anything to purposely hurt you either."
"So how does this work. I mean humans get married when they fall in love, but you say shifters automatically know their mates, does that mean for you it's love at first sight for you kind of thing? I'm sorry but I don't think I am in love with you and after what has happened I am not sure I could love anyone without fear again."
'She's really been hurt Bryson.'
'Yes she has. All we can di is give her time to recover and show her what she means to us'
'Agreed'
"Taila love, I will not push you, I will take everything at a pace that is comfortable for you. But, I promise to be there for you no matter what. I promise that I will never hurt you the way that he did. I promise to cherish you and treat you the way a woman should be treated, you are my queen. I will do everything within my power to make you understand what you mean to me. That I will promise. I will write it in blood if I have to."
He makes everything seem so easy. But I know it's not, even though my heart is trying to get me to think that it is. I know better. My heart wants me to trust him, but my mind is telling me to run. My body, well we won't go there right now. My body is crazy for Bryson, I have never wanted a man the way I want Bryson. It must be the pregnancy hormones.
I just want to cry, I feel tears start to swell up in my eyes so I close them to try and calm down. When I close my eyes I feel Bryson wrap his arms around me and just hold me. I almost instantly start to calm down and relax into his embrace and lay my head against his chest. His every heartbeat relaxes me. He must think I am crazy to flip flop so fast with my feelings. One minute I want to push him away and then the next minute I am pushing myself further into his arms.
Bryson POV
Sitting here holding my mate is the best feeling in the world. I have waited so long to have her in my arms and she has no clue just how special she really is. I can not help but stroke her long blonde hair with my hand as I hold her.
'I don't want to leave our mate' Bronx whines in my head.
'We are not leaving her. She needs us and we will be here for her. We must be careful though, she is fragile mentally. We do not need to push her for something she is not ready for, Bronx.'
I rest my chin on top of her head just letting her body relax in to mine and allowing the bond to strengthen with how close we are. I think letting the bond get stronger along with allowing her heart have the time that it needs to heal will be our best chance for our mate to open up to us.
Christian POV
"Brother, what's wrong?" I answer Kaizens call.
"Are you coming home soon?" he ask me sounding eager to know my answer.
"I still have another week at this stupid thing. They are not even listening, so I am not even sure why I am here. Why do you ask?"
"Bryson called me. He claims he found our mate."
"I talked with him briefly yesterday but at that point he was not totally sure. But I do have a couple of missed calls from him." I remembered that I have not called him back yet.
"Well he is positive now and I think he was calling to tell you what he found out. If she is Bryson's mate do you think she will also be our mate to?"
"The chance of her being all of our mate is extremely high. There has only been different mate for twins that of the opposite sex. We are the only set of triplets and since we are all male it would make since that she would be all of ours. What is her name?"
"Her name is Taila and she is human to my knowledge. But that is not all."
"What! The Moon Goddess would not be so cruel as to pair us with a human mate. There has got to be something else going on." The moon goddess would not have told me things about our mate unless it was true. Our mate is supposed to be a healer, not just any healer, one that is special to our kind. She is to be the one of the prophecies teach us about. We have not had a healer born in centuries that anyone knows of. Healers are very similar to angels, they have the abilities to heal all creatures, shifter and human alike.
"I just landed so I will be back on our territory in a few hours and I will be able to check this mate out for myself. What I do know is that Bryson is head over heels for her already. He swears that she is our mate. Apparently Bronx came up on her while she was in the woods dream walking."
"Wait, dream walking? Are you sure she was dream walking? That is not something a human has been know to do before."
"According to Bryson and Gemma she was dream walking, and she has no clue about it. She seriously thinks what happened was a dream."
"I will wrap up things here and be home in the next few days. If we are all her mates she will be unstable, especially if she has been raise as a human." Well if she is dream walking she may not be human. We do not know much about healers and how they come about their abilities so it could be possible they need to be triggered by something. This is all new territory that we will be dealing with.
"Alright brother, I will see you in a few days. From what Bryson has told me, Taila is still trying to cope with the fact that she is his mate. He has not told her about us yet. But, I have a plan to help ease her into that. We can talk about that more once you are here to carry it out."
"I think I know what you are thinking about doing. It may work if we are in our beast. If we are to carry it out in our human forms, we will need to plan it vary carefully but getting her to trust our beast will be much easier." Kaizen's plan may be just what we need if she has having a hard time with being mated to a shifter. What ever we do it must be careful, so we do not scare her.
