With Raon atop the stairs, the relic was pretty much in our hands.
"Raon! What do the words on the coffin say?!" [Fina]
Fina called over to him, but only received a shrug.
"I don't know. I didn't take classes on olden mystic tongue." [Raon]
This is one of those moments where having a phone would be nice. If only we could take pictures.
"Don't mind the words! Open the coffin! The relic must be in there!" [Wilharrow]
"Understood." [Raon]
Placing his hands on the lid, Raon let out a grunt as he tried to push off the heavy lid.
"Hrngh!" [Raon]
It was much heavier than expected. Though, it was still doable. The lid started to slide off as the sound of metal scraping against each other echoed throughout the room. Once halfway off, Raon jumped back.
"Woah! There's a body in there!" [Raon]
Does this guy even hear himself?
"I… It's a coffin… What else do you think goes in there?" [Solace]
"I mean, I knew that. It's just, it's too clean!" [Raon]
He even hovered his head over to take a few sniffs.
"Doesn't smell bad either. Weird." [Raon]
We all gave him strange looks.
"...What the hell are you doing?" [Wilharrow]
"Don't look at me like that. The body isn't decomposed. Here, hold on." [Raon]
He then pushed the rest of the lid off, causing it to hit the ground with a loud thud. Raon then lifted the body so that it sat upright, revealing a decorated corpse that appeared to be someone just sleeping. The first hero was also pretty good looking. Short blonde hair, a chiseled face, and aesthetically pleasing white ceremonial clothes. Probably meant for dead people though. Well, even when dead, they were a stunner.
"...Hey, there's stuff sticking out of his back." [Solace]
"There is?" [Raon]
Looking more closely, there were two swords just impaled into his back.
"...A desecration of the first hero's corpse?" [Wilharrow]
"Should I pull it out?" [Raon]
They were pretty ominous looking swords. One of black, the other was gold. They also had some kind of engravings on them so it didn't look like a good idea to touch them.
"Just put him back down. We're here for the relic." [Wilharrow]
"Okay." [Raon]
He gently placed the first hero down.
"Remind me what the relic looks like again? There's a ton of stuff in here." [Raon]
Did I hear loot?
"What kind of stuff?" [Solace]
"Uh… Gold coins, a dagger, some stones with enchantments, a cube, a wooden letterbox, and a bunch of other things." [Raon]
"The cube! It's the cube! Take the cube!" [Wilharrow]
Raon reached in and picked up the cube, which looked to be nothing special. It kind of reminded me of a tungsten block.
"Is this it?" [Raon]
Wilharrow fell silent.
"I can't feel any energy from it. Can you guys?" [Wilharrow]
What's this talk about feeling energy? I don't think I saw that kind of skill in everyone's stat panels. Well, I'll just check the cube by myself.
("|Analyze|.") [Solace]

("What?") [Solace]
From just that, I could assume that it was probably the relic we're looking for.
"Are there any other cube-like objects in the coffin?" [Solace]
Raon peered into the coffin once more.
"Nope. This is it." [Raon]
Guess it really was safe to assume that we have the relic.
"Great. Raon, close the lid on the coffin and we leave." [Wilharrow]
"...Seriously? Do you know how heavy that thing is? I genuinely don't think I'll be able to lift it." [Raon]
"But we can't just leave the first hero's grave like this." [Wilharrow]
Raon let out a sigh.
"Fine, I'll give it a try." [Raon]
As he said that, two familiar people came barging in from one of the entrances of the room. Guess who it is?
"It's the necromancer and Feerae!" [Wilharrow]
It was the robed demon of whom I had burnt half his face, and the knight with no helmet equipped with a velvety red cape.
Ignoring us, the necromancer spotted the cube in Raon's hand.
"My lord! He has the relic!" [Necromancer]
"And he has company." [Helmless Knight]
Surprisingly, the knight had his eyes trained on me.
"What? Ready for round two?" [Solace]
"You…!" [Necromancer]
I also glanced at the necromancer, the one who's face I half-burned.
"Oh, you're here too. Do you like your new look?" [Solace]
That seemed to really piss him off.
"My lord! Just give the word and I'll turn that pissant into a bag of bones!" [Necromancer]
The knight raised a hand to silence his subordinate.
"I'll take him. Handle the others, Yandel." [Helmless Knight]
Though a bit dissatisfied, the necromancer, or rather, Yandel, bowed in acknowledgement.
"By your will, my lord." [Yandel]
I don't think it was a very smart idea, since I remembered that Wilharrow was the necromancer's direct counter with holy magic, but it works for us.
"You and me then?" [Solace]
I stepped forward.
"You are mistaken." [Helmless Knight]
"What?" [Solace]
He stepped forward and reached over his shoulder, leading him to throw off his cape. Bit of a waste in my opinion.
"My name is Balyagha the third, and today I will fell a Hero." [Balyagha]
("Hero?") [Solace]
The moment he drew his sword and stuck it into the ground, I realized it wasn't me he was staring at. It was Wilharrow behind me.
"Spirit Field: Era of Superiority." [Balyagha]
Within an instant, he and Wilharrow vanished.
