Are you for real? All his stats were maybe like 1000 below mine and he's only level 80. Matter of fact, his |Willpower| was higher than mine. The |Hero| class is such BS. Gods need to nerf it.
"Are you ready?" [Wilharrow]
"Are you?" [Solace]
Wilharrow drew out his plain looking divine sword.
"|Divine Weapon Resonance: Vlight|." [Wilharrow]
The plain longsword transformed. The blade turned white and made itself wavy like a flamberge. The handguard shifted into the image of a sun while the handle made itself indented for better grip. The pommel changed into a sharp edge, not something I would like to get struck by. Above all, I could feel great mana emanating from it.
"...Wow. Just… wow." [Solace]
"It's my sword's first form. Are you prepared to face it?" [Wilharrow]
"Ah, so there's going to be more." [Solace]
"Correct." [Wilharrow]
Yeah, so I put on Vermillion Eclipse. I wasn't feeling like testing my flesh against a divine weapon.
"The red gauntlets. I hope they hold up." [Wilharrow]
"Me too." [Solace]
That instant, we struck each other.
"Wha-?!" [Raon]
I guess Raon wasn't able to keep up with his reaction. Wilharrow's sword grinded against my gauntlets as we stared at each other.
"You've gotten a lot stronger." [Solace]
"I could say the same to you." [Wilharrow]
Releasing one hand from his sword, Wilharrow grabbed my mouth.
"|Holy Ray|!" [Wilharrow]
So I tasted god. Just kidding, it tasted spicy.
"Alert: You have acquired the skill |Holy Resistance|." [Spirit Guide]
After taking that hit, I kicked Wilharrow away.
"Seriously?" [Solace]
My mouth felt dry and there was steam coming out. Did this guy just evaporate my saliva?
"I can't believe you just used that on me." [Solace]
"I knew you'd be fine." [Wilharrow]
"What if you used it on Raon?" [Solace]
We both glanced at our |Blade Master| buddy.
"Wh… What?" [Raon]
Wilharrow put some thought into it.
"Yeah, I don't know. Maybe…?" [Wilharrow]
"Maybe what? Guys?" [Raon]
I nodded along.
"Not even maybe. Definitely." [Solace]
"Definitely what?! Guys?!" [Raon]
"Probability of you dying." [Solace]
Raon shivered.
"Why were you guys even thinking of that?!" [Raon]
Wilharrow and I shrugged.
"Dunno." [Solace]
"Let's get back to dueling." [Wilharrow]
"Bet." [Solace]
I immediately threw a |Wind Edge| at him and rushed in. Wilharrow slashed my spell, which I had already accounted for.
"|Terra Javelin|." [Solace]
I forced a spear out from under Wilharrow, causing him to step back to avoid it. He then cut my spear and threw the tip at me.
"|Piercing Blow|." [Solace]
I wasn't sure if it would work, but I was enlightened. I punched the spearhead, causing the energy to travel across the air and hit Wilharrow.
"Urgh!" [Wilharrow]
Neither he nor I expected it. Thankfully it worked out in my favor. Wilharrow was knocked down and tumbled. By the time he started to get up, I was already on him.
"Good game." [Solace]
I slammed my foot on his sword to keep it down and placed my hand at his throat. It took a moment for Wilharrow to realize he lost.
"...Dang." [Wilharrow]
He let out a sigh.
"I thought I would win this time around. It's your win." [Wilharrow]
Satisfied, I pulled away.
"Need some healing?" [Solace]
"I would appreciate that. Your |Piercing Blow| has my chest throbbing in pain." [Wilharrow]
"My bad. I didn't even think it would do anything." [Solace]
"You underestimate yourself." [Wilharrow]
I then healed him with |Small Cure|.
"You have gained |Experience|. |Experience| limit reached. |Small Cure| has gained a level." [Spirit Guide]
Wilharrow took a deep breath as my skill healed him.
"It feels good..." [Wilharrow]
"Don't make it weird." [Solace]
"How so?" [Wilharrow]
"Just… Just shut up." [Solace]
Putting that aside, we finished up our sparring and met up at the Adventurer's guild.
"I think we've been here long enough. It's time we continue our journey." [Wilharrow]
None of us rejected it.
"Our next stops will be three villages, a city, and then the capital. However, there's a faster route through monster territory. Which path do you guys want to take?" [Wilharrow]
"I'm fine with whatever." [Solace]
Personally, I kind of wanted to go for monster territory for the |Experience|.
"Villages, please. I don't want to sleep outside." [Raon]
"I don't care." [Leon]
"I… would also prefer not to sleep outside." [Fina]
Then it was settled.
"Guess we're going the long route. Tomorrow, we set off. Get all your things in order everyone." [Wilharrow]
