In the Jinn realm, the death of the clan bane was announced shortly after she disappeared from their torture. Her twin sister Mariam hated the very existence of Maimuna. Her reason was simple. Because she was taught to bully and mistreat her from a very young age.
Although the two were identical twins, there was a big variation in how the two were brought up. Her family had royal blood running in their veins. The birth of two children at the same time was considered a bad omen among the jinn clan.
They had very unorthodox beliefs that they lived by. Unfortunately, due to this belief, Maimuna got the brunt of it. She never chose the kind of family to be born into nor the circumstances following her birth.
Her mother abandoned her in hopes of protecting herself from the wrath of the clan. she succeeded in diverting their wrath herself onto her innocent child. Such was the way of living things. It was no different from a dog that eats its pup to stay alive.
