'Mom I'm home ',Alexis shouted on top of her voice before opening the door to the house.She rushed to the kitchen knowing that her mom would definitely be there.

'Mom!Mom!',she continued. She haulted when she met her absence. 'She's not here',she reasoned.She skidded off the long flight of stairs and went straight to her parents' room.'Mom I'm home ',she bent a little and peeped through the door she'd slightly opened. When there was no reply, she opened it wider. 'No one's here',she told herself and for the first time ever since she entered the quite house, she realised the entire place was dead silent except from her constant shouting and her footsteps. She closed the door and dashed for her room.She jumped unto the bed and open her arms wide and closed her eyes.Slowly as she taught of where her parents might have gone to,she drifted to sleep.

'I don't want to be king',he yelled. 'C'mon Jade, this is your only chance ',he advised.'I don't want it',he glared at his brother and walked away.'That boy is a piece of work',he passed his fingers through his slightly wet hair.

'What did he say?',Matt asked with a smirk as his back faced Rio.'He doesn't want to be king ',he simply answered. 'Hahaha',his laughter was chilling and his aura dark just as always. 'I knew he'd say that',he passed his fingers along the window sill as something twitched in his eyes but he didn't turn to face Rio.'What do you think he wants?',Rio asked him.'Just let him be',Matt ignored his question. 'okay',he answered with a slight bow and walked out of the study.

The ringing of her phone awakened her from her slumber.She opened her eyes and closed them again as her eyes adjusted to the brightness of the early morning sunshine. She abruptly opened her eyes when it dawned on her that it was already morning and quickly sat up.'My head',she murmured and stood up to walk to the bathroom when she heard the noise coming from behind her window. Her heart skipped a beat. 'What's that?',she strolled to her window and pulled the curtains slightly as if she was afraid of what was behind her window. She couldn't see anyone or anything producing the noise she had supposedly heard and pulled the curtains away and opened the windows with a thud but there was nothing there.'Was she hearing things or what?',she yawned and left for her bathroom with the windows still open. She pulled all her clothes away from her body and stood under the shower as the water splashed on her skin and she shuddered. 'What was that?',she looked around. She wasn't cold and the water was warm. 'Probably her thoughts ',she told herself as she quickly showered and changed into fresh clothes and walked out of her room for the kitchen.She was famished since she ate nothing last night. 'Good morning mom',she greeted her lovely mom with a back hug and smelled the rosy scent on her mother. 'Mm mm',that was all Mrs.Fayn said and unglued her daughter from her back and made her sit on the stool beside her.'Eat dear,I can tell you're very tired',she wiped an invisible dirt from her daughter's cheeks and gave her her sweet smile and sat beside her.Alexis smiled at her mother and obeyed without uttering a word.They ate in silence as each was engrossed with their own thoughts.

'Where's dad?',she asked as she wiped the dishes clean.

'Out',was all her mother said.She waited

for her mom to continue but that was all.She knew there was something wrong ever since she came home yesterday but she only brushed it aside. 'Probably her stress',she laughed it off.Her mom wasn't this quiet and unyearning.

'Maybe she didn't want to talk much',she ignored as she continued washing the dishes. Mrs.Fayn intentionally answered sharp and short because she thought her daughter would continously ask her questions and she was ready to tell it all although the time wasn't right. She was hurting from the future when their child came to know the truth about them.

'Would she be able to understand that they did all that for her own good?'

'Would she hate them?'

'Would she be able to cope when the truth finally came to light '

She couldn't help but feel the tug at her heart ever since she got to her final year and the time kept getting closer. She heaved quietly when she saw that Alexis was done with the dishes.

'Will you go out today?'

'No mom'

'You should go out more dear. Get used to the outside world '

It was time for Alexis to get surprised.

'What are you saying mom?',she rushed towards her side.'I only want to be with my family ',she continued as she hugged her.

'Yes dear but we won't be with you forever ',planning to give her small hints hoping that when the time comes,it wouldn't be too hard on her.

'Mm mm',she buried her face at the crook of her mother's neck.They stayed like that for a while before Mrs.Fayn announced that she had a meeting to attend and Alexis let go.

Soon,Alexis was the only one left in the Fayn Mansion.

Alexis is the second daughter of the family but she has always known that she was the one and only child of her parents and she hated it.She wanted siblings like all her course mates but it was too late to ask.It's not like her parents wouldn't go all around the world for her but she didn't want to stress them.She always wanted her parents to be proud of her and never have any doubtful thoughts about her.Well,it wasn't difficult being a happy, obedient child because that was exactly what she'd been doing since she was born.

However, the problem lately is she'd been suspecting that something was going on and it was really bugging her.Away from that, she'd been having the urge to be stubborn. To become wild and naughty like all the other kid and it's always getting stronger by the day.'Maybe it was her excitement ',was all she reassured herself always.Her bedroom was on the far left corner of the third floor and the stairs were always a hustle for her.She was dizzy again.

'Oh no',was all that came out of her mouth as she grabbed the staircase harder and took the last step to the open floor of the third floor. The rest of the way,she had to crawl.She wouldn't try walking and afford to fall down again like the other day this happened to her.She slowly but consciously crawled her way to her bedroom.The strands of hair by her ear were wet from her sweat and she already felt dirty.As if she wasn't crawling on smooth, neat,polished tiles that their mansion had but in a sandy,muddy place. 'Is it because I'm dizzy?But I just took my shower',she scrowled

Her breaths became heavy as if forced and her sight became dimer.'I'm definitely losing it right now',she forced her bedroom door open and shut it close and that was the end,her eyes closed and her body weakened and fell unto the cold floor.
