One night, while the new moon was almost covered by thick clouds and fog spread into the horizon, a cabin near the woods stands where a group of teenagers can be seen minding their own lives.
" hey! Harvs, is quinn sleeping on the sofa again? ... Dude! Eww! You're too close! " a girl said, pushing away the boy next to him, making him tumble down the chair, after feeling her personal space invaded.
The boy glared at the girl and said " don't be such a brat, Rhenz, there's no other place to sit! And yes! Quinn is sleeping on the sofa! ... Now, Move over! " then stuffing himself to the little space left in the chair causing Rhenz to bark back and starting another argument.
While an on-going fight was still in action between the cat-and-dog duo, In front of the computer screen, there's a boy whose continously reloading the channel page, waiting for something.
" excited much? Ceddie, You do know that they are not going to upload the results until 11:00 pm, it's only 10:37, ayyy! Scratch that, I mean 12pm kst, I'm Korean, don't touch me! " Another girl who just arrived said, doing a hair flip at the last part of the sentence.
" ate (older sister) Jhing, I know, don't mind me.... Doing this eases my anxiety. " still looking at the screen and reloading it, Ceddie blurted, looking out of it.
From then on the four of them waited for some time minding their own businesses, while they were doing that, the fog lifted slowly as if it was being vacuumed, the clouds that covered the moon vanished leaving the stars and the moon the only things floating in the sky.
"is it just me or is getting cold, all of the sudden?... Ay letche! Sino ba kasi nag suggest ng English only rule na yan?pati tuloy pag-iisip ko na napapa ingles na din Pede naman self-study eh (oh jeez! Who suggested this English only rule by the way? Even my thoughts are turning English, we could have just self-studied) .." thought Harvey while sitting near the sofa where the girl named Quinn was sleeping.
The boy stood up to get some blankets in their room, to at least lessen the in coming cold breeze , on the way, he met Ceddie who looked like he was standing in the middle of Antarctica, shivering and rubbing his hands hysterically on his arms back and forth.
Harvey thought "well...kailan pa ba to naging lumakas sa lamig? (He was never good with the cold anyway) .."
Suddenly, Ceddie started clutching his head, he was writhing in pain "ARGHHH! SOME---SOMETHING'S COMING! I FEEL IT IN MY HEAD, IT'S ANGRY....GALIT SATIN..POTA! ANSAKIT SA ULO! (IT'S ANGRY AT US, F*CK, MY HEAD HURTS!)" he said, still enduring the unknown pain he's feeling.
Out of nowhere, The door flew open, making a loud banging sound, another banging sound came but this time it sounded like a stomp of a big creature, right after a strong gust of wind gushed into the cabin, turning the house upsidedown, the couch where the girl, Quinn was sleeping was also turned over, fortunately the other four was able to take shelter from the flying debris by hiding behind the kitchen counters.
While running to the counter they were able to see see what made made the stomping sound which made their hearts beat hasten.
"PUSANG INA!!!! (MOTHERF*CKER) WHO DID THAT?! I WAS SLEE----" Quinn shouted furiously but was suddenly cut off when a hand closed off her mouth, stopping her from making another sound, she was pulled to hide behind the kitchen counter, she looked at the person who did it, Then she saw Jhing who signalled her to be quiet by putting her index finger to her lips looking haggard and pale, Jhing was finally able to breath a sigh of relief when she saw Quinn was okay, and after a while, she finally pulled away her hands from Quinn's mouth, Quinn saw the other three were in the same condition as Jhing.
She wandered why they are hiding in the kitchen but she still did not make a sound after she received a 'don't you dare make a noise, or I'll disassemble you and fossilize you, if you do' look from the other three, She finally had the time to look around, she saw the house looking as if it was bombed, the tables were destroyed, and the window panes were shattered, making the glass scatter on the ground.
Her breath hitched when she saw something that's out of the comic, out of a movie, she now know why the others were hiding but she felt that what's happening was absurd, and that's she's still sleeping and everything's just a dream, but the way she felt Jhing's hand covering her mouth before, she knew everything else other than watch she is seeing felt too real, just from that and the expression of the other four.
A creature twice as big as them, almost hitting the ceiling, with its bloody black rotten skin, drooping eyes, and its hands that looks like a dripping black-reddish goo, it was standing in the middle of the cabin as if it was scanning the area.
The creature was standing still, they looked at each other, trying to think of what they should do.
Ceddie couldn't take it anymore, slowly he reached for a spoon that's on the floor after the utensils were scattered by the strong wind from before the monster arrived , the others looked at him scared of what he's about to do, he just gave them a nod and threw it the opposite direction to them, thinking of trying to distract the monster's attention.

The monster who was not standing still whipped its goo-like arms at the direction of the spoon at the moment it made a sound, in a blink of an eye, the half of the house was crushed into tiny pieces making a big opening at that side of the house.
The 5 of them were in a daze, their Jaws dropped from the display of monstrous strength, realizing if they get hit by that thing they are as good as dead, snapping out of it because of the fear of their impending death, taking the chance while the monster was distracted, they quietly run outside of the cabin through the back door,after they got out they tried to run towards the direction of the town...
" POTA!!!! POTA!!!! POTA!!! (FUCK!!3×) " Harvey was cursing so hard in his mind, he didn't see a dry branch in their way while running, it made such a crunchy sound that the monster's gaze as well as his friends slowly panned to his direction.
" walang hiya ka!!!!! Harvey Abrahan, pag ako napitas ngayon, mumultuhin kita kahit multo ka na din!!! Magmultuhan tayo!!!! (Harvey Abrahan, you thick-skinned piece of shit! If I die now, I'll haunt you even if you die too, we'll fucking haunt each other!!!) " Rhenz blurted while running to the direction they came from a moment ago, the direction of the woods.
" ANG SABI KO KAYA TAYO SASALI SA COVER CONTEST NG TREJO PARA MAMEET NATIN SILA, GAGO!!! BAKIT PARANG SI KAMATAYAN MAMEMEET KO!!! (I said I'm going to join the cover contest to meet treasure, why on hell am I feeling that I'm going to meet death instead?!!!!) " Ceddie shouted while running for his life, the others blurted out their ultimatums too
