Chapter 1 - Timelines Redirected: Changing Fate

Revanis sat at the edge of the lake, a light silver potion in his hand as the family in the main area joked and laughed. His thoughts swirled slightly darkly as he stared at the silver liquid with tears in his eyes. His voice was quiet with hidden grief as he spoke to himself "How can they all act like nothing happened, How can She act like nothing happened." As the thoughts swirled through his head, he never heard Jynx cuss and run to her room, the last thing he heard was a voice yelling at him as he collapsed from drinking the potion.

Utterly annoyed and slightly heartbroken Alexa lays in the grass, wondering what could've gone wrong. How can nobody see what is happening to those that are supposed to be "family". She gets too lost in her thoughts. Becoming oblivious to the commotion happening down at the lake.

Revanis laid unconscious on the grass as a golden glow surrounded him, a dome of memories appearing, laughter, the subtle strum of a guitar, all the sounds faded as the memories seemed to dull out slowly before the dome disappeared. Only a few people had noticed what happened, one of these people was his brother Dante who knew what the potion did. Dantes face paled as he realized what just happened as Jynx walked out with two children at her side. "Revanis, what have you done?"

As she slowly comes to, she sits up and looks around. Standing up, walking to the main area where the sounds become overwhelming. She sits at the edge of everyone glancing around at the faces. Seeing who's there and who isn't. She catches a glimpse of Dante's outline and some other people but decides to ignore them since she can't make out who it is. She pretends to smile with the family and joke around.

As he woke, he blinked and stared at the horrified faces of Alix and Jynx, the two children standing between them causing him to pause and look closely, a flash hidden in the stormcloud grey of his eyes. "Whose children are these two?" Alixs' voice was shocked and angered as she stared at him. "They are yours, you idiot, who else's would they be?!" Revanis voice was cold and flat, having sensed the power in the children. "Dantes." The two women reeled back in shock at the flatly spoken statement, wondering how he knew but not voicing anything to confirm his statement.

Alexa tilts her head slightly, hearing the conversation. Her eyes widened as she pretends her hearing did not pick up on the exchange between the women and Revanis. She sits there in shock unsure what to do. She decides to wait, knowing everything is about to blow up from the emotion she feels radiating from everyone.

His voice was quiet as he stood, but the way it carried caught the attention of anyone close. "Don't play me for a fool, my brother and I may fight alot, but im not stupid. I can sense his power in them, not mine." Alix let out a growl as Jynx pulled the two children back. "That's bullshit Revanis. The twins are your children, they are safe and healthy." Revanis froze, an eerie silence settled over everyone as he stared at Alix with a gaze full of suppressed anger.

Alexa watches as everyone starts giving each other silent looks because of the commotion that is going on. She glances over to see if she can see Revanis to make sure he's ok. But can't see over everyone in her way. She sighs softly.

"Safe. safe. They are safe!" His voice rose as he spoke, anger lacing it as he began to yell. "You had what looked like a miscarriage! Pretended everything was fine! Now you want to tell me they are SAFE!"

Alexa jumps up from the yelling finally catching a glimpse of him. She moves away from everyone and watches him. Standing where if he looks over the women he'd see her. She does this so he can see someone if he wants.

He glared hotly at her, flames lightly coating his white hair in his anger. "I had to do something, I can't carry someone else's children while I'm mates with someone else!" Alix screamed as she got in his face. Revanis went cold as he stared at her, his eyes going blank. "Yet you could carry my brother's children while with me, I see."

She glances over and sees everyone watching them. She rolls her eyes seeing as some are enjoying the entertainment. Worry flashes across her face. Since she is one of few who can feel the intensity of everyone's emotions. She watches in silence not sure how to help. Or even if she should get involved. Anger slowly boiling a bit inside at some of Alix's words. She scoffs softly. Then covers her mouth hoping no one heard her.

The two stared at each other before Revanis' ear twitched. Hearing the soft scoff caused him to snap from his stare off. "It doesn't matter anymore, I have someone in my life that's more understanding, more caring, and sure as hell more loving than you would ever be." Alix reeled back as if slapped by his words, everyone else staring in shock.

She smiles at him and blushes looking down. Happiness from his words fills her overpowering any other emotion she was feeling. She glances up at everyone as a few eyes look at her she immediately looks back down. Wishing everyone would mind their own business. Her stomach in butterflies. She forces them down as she stands there and watches him carefully, still worried.

He pushes past them, only to be stopped by Jynxs' hand on his wrist. "If you walk away now, you'll lose everything." He paused for a moment before looking at Alexa, catching her eyes with a soft smile. "No if I walk away now, I won't lose anything important. I'll find a better home." He pulled his wrist from the shocked woman's hand, walking to the lone blood red oak tree in the distance.

She grins and walks after him. Not a care for those behind her. She runs to catch up to him. She touches his hand softly as not to be too much at once for him. "Are you okay?" She practically whispers to him, her voice wavers with worry. "Are you sure about this?"

He laced his fingers through hers, walking into the trunk of the tree into a small bedroom, lab combo. "I'm sure. I've had enough of the drama here, but I won't make you go with me if you don't want to." He gazed at her softly, an aura of unsureness around him.

She shakes her head rubbing his hand with her thumb. "I'm done with everyone here. I'm sick of it too. I've been hurt too much by those who were supposed to be our family. I want to go with you. I am a hundred percent sure of that." She smiled at him, a lovingly twinkle in her eyes as she looked into his eyes. "I enjoyed what you said about me by the way."

"All I said was the truth." He turned, waving his hand in an arc causing shadows to begin packing everything up. "You are beyond amazing to me. In all my 300 years I've never met anyone like you."

Her nose scrunches up as her cheeks turn a rose colored red blush. Showing that she is slightly flustered. She looks around at the shadows amazed by them. "I'm nothing special. But I'm very glad you see something in me. I think you are the most incredible man I've ever met."

"We've only been together for a few days love, you don't know that much about me yet. I might still scare you away." He chuckled softly to himself, a sad tone to it as the last of his things vanished into the shadows.

She rolls her eyes as she chuckles. "If the emotions I felt off you just now as well as the anger you showed hasn't scared me off. Nothing is going to. And well" She motions to her hand laced in his. "I'm clearly not going anywhere dear. So you sir are gonna have to deal with it." She shrugs gently.

He smiled as he turned towards her. "Shall we go pack your things then, and face whatever music awaits us outside"

"I would rather not. But I guess I need my stuff for whatever adventure awaits us. I am not excited for this dramafest about to go down." She sighs and glances towards the door. Taking a deep breath nodding. "Let's do this."

He led her back to the door, taking a deep breath as he stepped out, dropping to the ground and pulling her with him as a bolt of lightning struck the tree where their heads had been seconds before.

A scream rips from her. "What the….. When I thought dramafest I didn't think violence was going to be a part of it! Freaking crazies!"

Revanis glared up, his eyes dark as he stood. "Seems she's more pissed than I thought. How much do you want to bet she thinks you stole me from her?"

"Oh you mean like she literally stole my husband from me then dumped him when she saw you moving on?" She rolls her eyes. "She can think what she

wants. She left you and we found each other. She is not the victim she believes she is. But I bet she is pretty insulted you basically said I was better than her. She thinks she is perfect, remember?"

"You are better than her." He drops again, avoiding a bolt just barely as an angry scream is heard.

She gasps quietly. As she shakes her head. "Yep she is definitely insulted. Is it bad I am slightly enjoying her being angry? Alix! Grow up and let us walk out of here. No need to be a child about this! Good gods."

He let out a snort. "The wind could call her ugly and she would be insulted. She acts all self important to hide how insecure she is. Now I need you to focus on your room and I'll get us there."

She takes a deep breath and looks at him. "I'm ready. But if the wind starts spewing insults at us I'm leaving with none of my stuff." She chuckles softly at her own joke.

Revanis chuckled as shadows swallowed them, putting them in the corner of her room as a storm began to violently rage outside. "Be quick so we can leave before they come here."

She rolls her eyes. "You're telling a vampire with powers to be quick." She shakes her head as items start packing themselves. She zips around the room grabbing her things and shoving them in a bag. Only a minute later she stops in front of him holding her bag. "Let's go."

He wrapped his arms around her, shadows swallowing them up as the door exploded in a fiery blast. Revanis takes a deep breath, a soft breeze blowing through his hair as they appear on a white cliff overlooking the sea.

She gasps in awe at the view. As she takes a step away from him. She smiles softly tucking her hair behind her ears. "Wow, it's… breathtaking here." She glances at him. "So what's the plan now? See where life takes us I guess or anything set?"

"Well, I have a house about a miles walk south of here. It's nothing fancy, just a small one bedroom cottage, but it could be home."

"It sounds perfect. A nice new fresh start away from the drama. I would love to see." She looks around then furrows her brows and frowns.

He smiled softly at her as he laced his fingers through hers and started walking. "Hopefully it will be peaceful for us, to get to know each other properly."

"Living together? Well I would hope so." She giggles "We're kinda gonna be stuck together now. I mean I could go somewhere else. But nah that doesn't sound as fun."

He chuckled softly, a light green cottage sitting in the distance. "Like I said, it's a one bedroom so if you prefer I can sleep on the couch. It doesn't bother me any, but it will be nice having you here."

She snorts. "Yes you sleep on an awful couch while I sleep in a comfy bed by myself. Don't be ridiculous, we are both adults we can share a bed. It's such a cute little cottage."

"It belonged to my family, well one of them. I've kept it in good condition as a hideaway. You are the first person I've ever brought here." He looks up as the cottage gets closer.

"It's amazing, I think I will like it here. I'm honored to be the first to be here. It looks well taken care of. Shows the kind of man you are honestly." She smiles and she skips up to the cottage.

He blinks in slight confusion as he watches her skip away towards the building. 'How does it show the kind of man I am?' He shook his head to clear the thought as he followed at a leisurely pace, his eyes scanning the small farm field a little ways off.

She giggles and looks around at it. She leans back against the door and watches him smiling. "It's beautiful and perfect."

He snapped his fingers as he got closer, the door opening itself slowly to a sparse living room. "We will likely need to do some shopping. There is no food and not much in the way of anything needed for living here since I rarely come here. The nearest town is about an hour's ride from here."

"Sounds like an amazing trip to talk and know each other on." She walks in and looks around. "This will make a great home." She turns and looks at him. "You rarely come here, why?"

"Not much reason to. It's just a home away from home. Well I guess it's home now." He looks around the small living room, letting out a small grimace at the stale air in the building. "I think first we should open the windows to let some fresh air in while i clean up the dust."

She starts wandering around and opens windows. "I have a couple candles in my bag if you'd like to light those. For not coming often it's amazing in tact. And you said you got this from one of your families? What does that mean?"

He began opening windows by hand. "The order was not the first family I had. I've had many over the past 300 years, but they were humans. They eventually withered and died while I stayed young. None of them took the offer to become immortal. Very few actually accepted me for the monster I was."

She walks up to him and wraps him in a tight hug. "You are not a monster dear. Never ever think that. Just in a few days I can tell you so many amazing things that show you're not a monster."

He paused in his motions, a slightly sad smile on his face. "Try and keep those words in mind when you learn the truth of my past. This home belonged to one of the original family that settled in this area. I stayed as a guardian with them for around 120 years, when the last blood member passed on they left it for me."

She lays a hand on his cheek softly looking at him with soft eyes. "Your past is just that, the past. It doesn't define who you are now. Obviously you are not that same man. Therefore nothing you tell me about your past will change my opinion of you. I promise dear."

He leaned into her touch as he closed his eyes. "Thank you. No one, has ever said that to me before except for one other person on her deathbed and it's been close to 200 years. I forgot the words."

She smiles at him. "You're not alone anymore." She looks around. "Now candles or no candles? Hm." She reaches in her bag pulling 3 different scented candles out. "Prefer a specific scent?"

"Apples and Lavender." He smiled at a fond memory for a moment before opening the last kitchen window. They were the matriarchs of this land's favorite.

She nods and lights the candles setting one in the kitchen and one in the living room area. "Perfect, step one to making this our home is done."

He smiled at her with a loving gaze when her back was turned at her words before going to open the windows in the last three rooms. "Our home, I like the sound of that."

A baby pink blush spreads across her cheeks. She smiles and pulls her hair into a high ponytail. "I do too actually. What can I start doing next? I wanna get what we can set up before bed."

"Well, it's only 8 am here, so we've got plenty of time to do what's needed. We can work on cleaning or we can go get the food and stuff from town first. Everything will be opening by the time we get there and a few people know me, and of what I am." He walks out from the last room, a subtle scent of apples following him.

She blinks slowly "8 am here?!? Goodness well let's go get food and stuff then." Her stomach grumbles softly. "Yeah food definitely." She chuckles and leans against a wall looking at the place and glancing at him.

"Well, let's get our ride then." He stopped outside, letting out a long sharp whistle as he walked towards a small shed next to the house before waiting.

She walks out and looks at him confusion clear as day on her face. "Uhm why did you whistle for our ride? What the hell is about to pop out here?" She looks around worried, stanced ready to run. "Is this how I die?"

He pointed towards the field, two horses running towards them. One was black in color with bright red eyes, the other was a beautiful silver color with blue tinted eyes. "That's why I whistled. I didn't feel like walking the field for them."

She laughs softly at herself, sighing in relief. "I thought I was about to die. Phew, they're stunning. What are their names?" She relaxes and steps close to him, still clearly weary but trying not to show it.

He wrapped an arm around her. "The silver one, the one you will ride is Silvania, I found her as a colt near death and infused her with some of my blood and the blood of a unicorn to keep her alive. The black one is An Dorchadas, Darkness in Irish. He was born in the shadow realm by mistake and I brought him here."

She leans into him and stares at the horses in awe. "You are full of surprises. I'm excited to see what else you have up your sleeves."

He chuckled as he turned to grab the two saddles. "Ever rode before?" He asked as he began to saddle Silvania, making sure it was secure.

Her eyes widened huge as she realized. "Uhm no I haven't ever rode. Now I'm not sure I can." She watches him rubbing her hands against her pants nervously.

He secured the saddle on An Dorchadas before he turned to her. "Silvania is a good starter horse then. She will stay right beside me and not panic at anything. I promise you will be safe with her.: He smiled reassuringly, offering his hand. "I'll help you onto her."

She scrunches her nose smiling and takes his hand. Using his help climbing onto her, she pets her neck. She takes a deep breath settling her racing nervous heart. "You better be right."

Silvania let out a soft snort of reassurance and playful insult as she shook her head at the doubt as Revanis pulled himself onto the darker horse, patting his neck in hello. "This one is the pain, threw me off more times than I can count haven't you buddy?" Dorchadas whinnied in amusement as his eyes sparkled at Revanis' words.

She squeaks softly at the head shake. "I'm just not used to riding anything. I was raised differently, we used our horses to pull." She holds on. Nodding readying herself for the moving.

He clicked his tongue, causing the two horses to take off past the fence in a small trot. "I have some clydesdales for that. They are used for working the small farm on the property, something I should probably take over now that we are here."

"I'd love to help if you'll teach me how you run things. I helped out with my father's farm but ours was mostly a giant garden with veggies. With a super small apple orchard. I miss getting in the dirt and planting, just helping outside in general."

"It's not anything fancy. Carrots and zucchini mostly. Some greens that can survive the cooler temperatures this time of year." He rubbed the back of his neck lightly. ' I don't have much experience with it really."

She grins "Looks like my expertise will come in handy then. Good thing I came along. Who knows how long you'd the farm would survive." She teases looking as the view passes her by.

"The locals have been watching it. My farm is actually one of the staples around here due to a greenhouse that can grow out of season veggies. I have a deal with a few pubs that serve stews when it gets colder. Also have a butchery but I have someone to handle that." He clicked his tongue again causing the two horses to veer left along the road.

She stares at him in awe. "You help the whole town? More and more added." Her head shakes in disbelief. "I'm glad they have been willing to help take care of everything. I can't wait to meet a few people. It has been awhile since I've interacted with humans. Fingers crossed it goes well."

"Like I said, a few know of what I am due to either family stories, or by me saving them from a rampant vampire or demon that passes through, one family here. Well, you'll know the kids when you see them, they look alot like me." He stared at the road as they rode along. "They aren't related as far as I know but it's possible that somewhere in their family I had to share my blood with a member to save their life."

She blinks looking at him. "There are children that look like you? That's not a weird coincidence or anything. Do you get alone well with those who know?"

He chuckled softly as he sped the horses up some. "They are about 12 years old and everyone around here hasn't seen me for 14 years. About 70 years or so ago, their great great grandfather was attacked by a demon, and I infused him with my blood to save his life. He didn't become immortal but these children have my hair and eye color, and some, characteristics of a vampire"

"That's too weird to believe it's not from the influence of your blood in their family member's system. I've seen something similar happen with humans from mixing different blood types. Back when we didn't know how blood transfusions fully worked. The characteristics from the donor showed through the recipient and the children he had after had the blood from the donor. Whereas the children before had the recipient's normal blood type."

He grimaced, a dark look passing over his face for a very brief second, his hands tightening on the reins as both horses let out a worried snort. "I'm, intimately aware of how the effects of blood can be on a donor body. It's the reason I became an alchemist so long ago. To reduce the transfer of abilities like that. We will be upon the village soon."

She frowns softly. "I'm sorry." She stares off into surroundings. Keeping quiet and to her thoughts.

He reached over and nudged her shoulder gently. "Don't apologize, nothing wrong with conversation, and be prepared for me to be tackled when we get in town. A former apprentice of mine has a penchant for it." He smiled softly at her, the dark look gone from his face.

"I will apologize when the conversation clearly upset you. I wouldn't expect anything less than you being tackled. That will be the highlight of the day. Someone taking your ass to the ground." She teases, smiling softly, looking forward. "An apprentice? What did you teach them?"

"Sword fighting, he was very advanced by the time I left, he was around 15. If he kept up with his training he should be very well advanced by now." He looked up as sounds from the decent sized village met them as they came over a hill, children running around in the early morning sun. A smile slowly stretched across his face as he gazed at it, a building right on the edge proudly proclaiming itself as The Shadow Pub. "That's our first stop in town, I need to speak with the owner."

Her eyes wandered the children as a sparkle grew in her eyes. "They look so happy. Been too long since I saw happy children running around freely." She grins and looks at the pub. "The Shadow Pub? Sounds great, I can wait outside if that's easier for you to talk to them."

He smiled, a light laugh escaping him. "You can wait outside if you wish but expect lots of questions from the children and the elderly that know me. I always come here alone, and I've not once met a child in this village that wasn't too inquisitive for their own good."

She chuckles quietly. "I think I can handle the question game. I just don't want to intrude on whatever you and the owner need to discuss. Besides if anything it gives me a moment to soak up the sun and get to know some of the locals."

He nodded as they entered the village, stopping outside the pub as a few people who recognized him stopped what they were doing. He slid off the horse and helped Alexa down, giving her a quick kiss before he walked into the pub as the sound of a glass breaking echod down the street.

A smile from the kiss flashes on her face. Quickly turning into confusion at the glass breaking. She stands awkwardly shoving her hands in her pockets as she looks around at everyone staring at her. She softly kicks the dirt in front of her around.

As she kicked the dirt, an elderly lady walked up to her, her silver hair shining in the bright sunlight and bright brown eyes shining with years of kindness and knowledge. "Hello dear, welcome to our little village."

She smiles up at the elderly woman. "Oh, hello, thank you it's very beautiful here. I'm Alexa." She looks around at everyone and everything. "I am excited to see more."

"Alexa, a beautiful name. My name is Theresa, I am the matriarch of this village, and the oldest person here." She sat down in a chair next to the pub as she spoke. "Come sit with me and tell me how you know our mysterious Revanis."

She wanders over and sits next to Theresa. "We uhm are dating I guess you could say. We met within a group that we called home for a bit." She shrugs softly "But, we will be staying here for a bit. At his cottage. And he's mysterious to you? Interesting." She glances at the pub inside wondering how these people know so little of him.

Theresa's eyes lit up at her words. "Dating? How surprising, he always swore he would not date due to his, affliction. I wonder what made him change his mind." Her smile grew slightly as she looked at Alexa. "You must be a very special girl."

Alexa's arms flail slightly "Ahh don't tell him I said dating. I don't know if we are. I don't know what we are actually. So we could not be." Clearly flustered her cheeks turn bright red. "He was dating someone right before we met. So I'm not anyone special. She's the one who changed his mind about it."

Theresa hummed in thought. "Yet you are the one he brought to his home, not her. Something to think about dear. I must be off, my husband will hurt himself otherwise. Goodbye dear." Theresa stood, patting Alexa on the shoulder before she walked away.

She waved to the kind woman as she walked away. Smiling to herself at what Theresa had said. "Let's hope she's right." She sits back in the chair watching everyone around lost in her thoughts about him.

Somewhere down the road, two children could be heard laughing, coming closer towards the pub. They were small in height only being 12 but their hair and eyes were striking. They both had white hair and stormcloud grey eyes that seemed to sparkle with something inside them.

She gasps in shock at the kids. "They look so close to him." She gathers herself hoping no one had noticed her reaction as she stares at the children. She shakes her head softly gathering herself.

The two children look around, not knowing she can see them before they vanish with a burst of speed. Revanis walks out of the bar, holding two bags in his hands before tying them to the saddle. "Anyone bother you while I was in there love?"

"I met Theresa, a wonderful woman by the way. Loved her, uhm I saw the children that look like you. Before they took off with freaking vamp speed." She flails softly staring at him. "But other than that nope. Everyone else kept to themselves."

Revanis chuckled slightly. "Don't let her looks fool you, Theresa is close to 150 years old. She's one of the few who accepted my gift. She's not fully immortal just ages slower. I will have to speak to the children later. I'm surprised we haven't seen my appren." He didn't get to say anymore as he was tackled from behind by a well built young man in leather armor, a sword slung over his back.

She bursts out laughing at Revanis being tackled. Holding her sides giggling. "Spoke too soon there dear. You guys ok?" She shakes her head still giggling. "That was better than I thought it would be." A big happy grin across her face that reached up into her eyes.

Revanis let out a huff of feigned agitation as he lightly punched the young man. "Artemis, what have i told you about tackling me?" Artemis smirked as he responded. "Don't tackle you in front of beautiful women, but i never listen because it's fun."

She snorts a small chuckle. "That is a very specific rule. Only in front of beautiful women? Besides he's not wrong dear. It was fun to watch. Had me laughing. You must be the great swordsman. I'm Alexa."

Artemis bowed as he stood in front of her. "Greetings Lady Alexa, my name is Artemis, and a swordsman I am but great I am not. I still have much to learn. A pleasure to meet you."

She giggles at Artemis. "I like the proper way you speak, Artemis. I am sure you are great. The pleasure is all mine. Meeting people from Revanis' life is an honor for me. But, please drop the lady. Just call me Alexa." She glances at Revanis making sure he's ok smiling at him.

Revanis returns the smile before wrapping an arm around Artemis shoulder. "I trained him since he was 5. He downplays his skill alot. Artemis, Alexa and I will be staying at my cottage for the foreseeable future, so if you want to spar come by. Artemis grinned widely at the news. "You both have to join us for dinner. Father and Mother will be so happy you have returned!" Revanis chuckled before looking at Alexa. "What do you say love, feel up for dinner with his family?"

"I think that sounds like an amazing plan. I'd love to meet your family. And I do want to hear stories you have about Revanis. Especially any funny and or embarrassing ones." She flashes a teasing grin at Revanis. "What time shall we come by? I know we were grabbing a few things for the cottage that was needed but that can be pushed aside if needed."

Artemis looked towards the sky to gauge the time, ignoring the simple watch on his wrist. "7 pm would be a perfect time, Mother will be just about done with dinner by then." Revanis patted him on the shoulder, a proud smile on his face. "We will be there, and i will bring something for your mother as per our tradition, please let them know." Artemis nodded before growing serious. "You came back at the right time, something has been attacking the village."

"Something attacking the village? Has anybody caught a glimpse as to what it could possibly be? How is it attacking? Anything in particular it is attacking? Certain types of people, or buildings?" Steps towards Revanis and intertwined her hand in his as she is clearly worried.

Artemis spoke seriously as he looked at Revanis. "So far it has only happened on the new moons. The bodies are found unharmed but completely dead. Normally we would chock it up to someone jst passing in their sleep but it's random and it's not just the elderly. Last month it was one of the children. I rode to the west and found a strange campsite that was, to normal to be a human like me. I think we are dealing with something magical."

Revanis stood still as he thought. "New moon, unharmed. Let me go home and research this later. The next new moon is but a week away but I have an idea of what it could be. I will speak to you later tonight on it." Artemis bowed as he began to walk off. "I will see you later this night then Master Revanis and Lady Alexa.' He waved cheekily as he ran off.

She frowns and pouts softly. "Didn't I tell him not to call me lady? He listens like a rock. Did he get that from you?" She teased squeezing his hand. She lets go of his hand and starts petting Silvania. "What do you think it could be? What's our next step for today or in general for these attacks?"

"He gets it from his mother I believe. You'll see later, as for the attacks. It's either a witch, or something that's removing their souls directly which is infinitely more dangerous.' He patted Dorchadas softly. "We still have a few more stops before heading home though."

"Perfect, where to next? I hope it's a witch and not something more dangerous. Also, not a biggie but I may or may not have told Theresa we're together and that seemed to cause questions filling up in her head. Sooo, if you see her you've got to give some answers." She smiles innocently at him. "I then tried to take it back but she clearly didn't listen. Now lead the way to the next stop." She's clearly trying to change the subject.

He chuckled softly as he took her hand. "Theresa is too nosy, I had questions in the pub when I walked in to answer." He pulled her along gently down the road, no seeing her face. "I simply told them I was home for a while and brought my girlfriend with me."

Her eyes widened at the word girlfriend and she looks around to make sure it's real around. She chokes a little. "I wasn't sure what to tell her. It sorta just came out." Her face is cherry red at this point. She follows beside him.

He glanced at her, a bright, small smile on his face. "Well, what else would you be love? I dont just kiss every woman I see you know, or bring them to the closest thing to my family as it gets."

She flails hardcore at that point nervous. "I don't know we haven't been whatever we are for too long. So I definitely wasn't sure what you'd tell people." She looks at the ground not making eye contact. Her stomach in butterflies.

He stopped, lifting her head before pressing his lips to hers. "Unless you say otherwise. You are my girlfriend otherwise I can't kiss you."

She smiles and kisses him gently, her face still red. Her stomach twirling in butterflies. "I like the sound of that. I am totally ok with being your girlfriend."

He chuckled as they started walking again, heading towards a grocery store. "Good think Jackson had all my money stored away, otherwise this would be a pain to buy everything."

"You have the owner hold your money when you're not here? Interesting, very trusting of you. But, it shows he's very trustworthy since he kept it all. Is it enough to last us or do we need to do something for funds? Also where to next, what're we gonna get?" She walks over to him and kisses his cheek randomly.

He smiled at the kiss. "It's a couple thousand dollars. It should be enough for a bit and Jackson is like us. He handles all my income from the farm and a few other things in my name." He stopped at the door to the small store, peeking in. "Someone new took over it seems"

She blinks at him confused. "He's a vampire like us? Do a lot of others know that?" Alexa glances in the store. "What was this store supposed to be?"

"No one knows he is one, except maybe Theresa, the nosy old woman" He jumps as a cane slaps him over the head from nowhere before it hits the ground. "It's always been a store, but Artemis' father ran it last I was here and he never rearranged."

She covers her mouth as she snorts a little at the cane. "Interesting, shall we go in and see who runs it now? Maybe they'll explain what happened to Artemis' father owning it."

He pushed the door open to a light chiming bell, looking around slowly. "Other than the renovation it's all the same." He quickly tapped a bell near the register, a crash near the back of the store being heard.

Steps up close holding onto Revanis arm. "Do you think they're okay? That didn't sound very good." She looks around to see if she can see anyone. "Hello?! Are you okay?"

A loud feminine yell is heard. "I'm fine, I'm fine. Just a small tumble nothing to worry about. I'll be right with you."

She steps in more and wanders around. "Glad you're okay. Take your time." She glances back at him, a look of curiosity in her eyes. As she continues to look around.

"I don't recognize the voice. Someone I haven't met yet" He looks around curiously before leaning on a basket. "I'll leave shopping to you, I don't know what to get"

She walks over to him. "And you think I do?" Her voice teasing. "I think I should be offended by that statement. But I will handle it." She smiles at him. "Are you staying or are you wandering around somewhere else so I know where to look for you?"

"I'll be right here until you're done. After this we have another stop for bedding stuff then we can ride home." He quickly kisses her softly.

She smiles at this kiss. Her eyes lit up at him. She turns on her heels and continues looking, picking out a few things needed. Things gathered in her arms, a bright smile on her face. "Done I believe."

He chuckles, looking up as a young woman comes around a corner. "Hello. Welcome to the White Wall Grocers, did you find everything you needed?" The girl asked as she stopped behind the register.

Laying everything down on the register. "I believe I did thank you. Lovely store you have. I love the name." She glances around again as she speaks.

The young woman quickly began scanning the item. "My name is Annie, I have run this quaint little place ever since Keith lost his leg. My father handles the books and I handle the rest. Are you both new in town?"

"I am new here, Revanis isn't. He owns the farm about an hours' ride from here. I believe we will be here quite frequently. I'm Alexa, it's a pleasure to meet you Annie." Her stomach turns into butterflies as she says it. So, she moves a little nervously fixing her stance.

"It's a pleasure to meet you both. I always wondered who owned that land. Dads been trying to buy it for years but always gets turned down. Has him in a right state, then that will be 23.01(EUR)." Revanis quickly handed over the money, collecting his change as he grabbed the bags, bowing his head lightly as he moved to the door, a frown of concern on his face. "Thank you very much."

Smiles and waves at Annie as she walks faster to catch up to Revanis. "Hey, love are you okay? You barely said four words in there? What's wrong?" She slows her stride as she catches up to him, worry spreading across her face.

"Keith is Artemis' father. He never does anything dangerous so I'm concerned about the fact that he lost his leg and Artemis didn't say anything to me" He quickly tied the bags to the horse saddle, rubbing his face. "Something is very off in town and we need to find out what."

She wrings her hands nervously. "Yeah that doesn't sound good at all. You'll have to talk to him tonight when we go to dinner." She pets Silvania, handing her an apple from a bag. "Annie wasn't sure what to make of you. Especially considering her father wants your land." She glances to him sideways, watching him.

He snorted, walking to a small building beside the pub. "He won't be getting my land anytime soon. No matter how much he offers."

She follows, catching up to him. She makes a face. "Well that was besides the point silly. I was talking about Annie in particular, not her father. I have already sensed you wouldn't sell that land." She looks at the business. "Now for bedding, what size bed is in the room?"

"Most people are, weird around me if they don't know what I am. Some sort of aura I give off, and I believe it's a queen size." He stopped at the door, rolling his shoulders in a stretch.

"Your aura must be different because she was very friendly with me. I just think it's the attitude you give off." Voice playful as she walks opens the door slowly. "Are you ready?"

"I'm used to being surly to keep people away. Keeps them and myself safe." He taps her nose softly as he steps in. "Let's find what we need and head home, I need a snack."

Her nose scrunches at the tap. "Yeah clearly didn't work on me. A snack sounds perfect right now. Let's make this as quick and painless as possible. I hate shopping." She walks into the store.

"It shouldn't be too hard, just don't get silk sheets and we need a heavy blanket since it's winter." He looked around, dismissing a few sheets. "No wool sheets either."

"You don't like silk sheets? Interesting, that's fine by me on the wool sheets. No thank you." Wanders to a big fluffy black blanket. It slightly overflows her as she picks it up. She turns to him, her face barely popping over the top. "This one is the blanket we need."

He chuckled once he saw it and nodded as he grabbed a pack of sheets. "Red sheets and a black blanket. Nothing screams vampire more than that."

She chuckles, "You are absolutely right. Well, guess we're about to feed into a stereotype. Pun included." She grins, laughing at herself. "All done let's pay and get out of here." Waddling slightly to the register, barely able to see over the blanket in her arms.

The cashier quickly scanned and priced the items, Revanis handed over the money exactly and grabbed the two bags, one large due to the blankets size. "Let's head home love,"
