The sun shone brightly upon a valley, where a young man sat slouching on a rock his face twisted in discomfort. A pot laid near him bubbling, as various vegetables and thin slices of meat floated.
Looking outward and seeing the clouds drifting and the birds crying, he sighed emotionally.
Removing the pot with impromptu gloves made from animal hide from the amateur fire with sticks and dried leaves curling and cackling.
He truly looked the way of a drifter, only missing the aura and scruffy look. If one were to chance upon this young man they would be very confused as he bore a noble aura and grace, with a cleanliness alien to the situation. Furthermore a beautiful necklace with a ring hanging upon it, it was black like night and only had a red ruby within the inner circle of the ring.
Using a carved spoon to slowly take the soup down, he gazed at his creation and in lament he said sourly, "Truly a man should be born in the wild, living in comfort for sixteen years and now living like this is horrible. Hunting is hard, climbing a tree is hard, even making a fire is hard. Luckily that shitty Kingdom atleast had the heart to send me to four years of military training before throwing me out. Yet look at my poor hands scraped and scarred. Argh, I hate this! If I reincarnate as the son of a god or something I'll make sure to punish those who did this to me! For that bratty bastard I'll make sure she is some old ugly hag, for that smelly king I'll have him be a prince hated by his father and trapped in a rice chest to starve! Hm for the citizens I'll make them all be... I don't know, well they aren't all that bad. For dad and that ugly whore, hmph I'll make them live eternally in some separate world where they have over a billion children who are little Tyrants and they never grow old, ruining their lives! Hmph, serves you right for throwing me away. Hmph, hmph, hmph!"
One could easily guess from his overdramatic, yet subtly kind motives he didn't truly feel anger towards anyone. Perhaps he only felt disappointment.
Taking another spoon and holding it before his eyes he whispered, "Maybe like wine this soup is really very impressive, but an acquired taste. Imagine in the future how much I would scold my past self if I didn't eat this then."
So he downed it like a shot, his eyesbrows joining and he reluctantly swallowed.
Making dry heaves again and again, as he spat intermittently.
After the bowl had cooled to a certain extent, a glint flashed through his eyes and he grabbed the pot and downed it in one swift movement.
Holding his stomach as his insides splish splashed, falling to the floor uncomfortably.
He fell asleep.
In the darkness of his subconscious various events happened.
In a closed room the young man was reading a book under candle light, his heart beating in a rapid motion as the novel got interesting.
Mumbling he said, "Yes get revenge! How could he do that you as your brother! Don't worry I won't judge you Gabriel, your brother deserves that punishment!"
A sudden knock interrupted the young man and a voice floated in, "Young Master Won, the madam is calling."
The young man responded, "Thank you Phillip."
Closing the book reluctantly he then got up and left towards the inner parts of the house.
Won had been isolated to the west district as he wasn't really the son of the wife of the family he was a part of. Rather the causation of his fathers lust. Yet Won didn't have a particularly harsh life, yes he did have the occasional look and whisper. Yet the only thing he truly he had to suffer from was the isolation, which only became worse when his mother died when he was six. His mother had been abandoned and even shamed, yet she showed none of this instead finding the blessing of her son much more important. Seeing his mother die Won became more and more distant, and even the protection of his mother and fathers actual relationship was gone so he got physically hurt by his siblings. Yet none of that mattered to Won, he spent his time focused on becoming a someone so his mother would be proud and everyone would realize his mother was someone great.
Yet unintentionally as he did greater and greater in academics, combat and other such affairs he incurred more and more sufferings.
Yet although Won found it rather uncomfortable in the end of the day, unless he was beaten he didn't really cared. A casual push or insult would be forgotten by him by the end of the day as he read books. Yet if anyone touched him, he would realize this wasn't something casual it was a fight. Won was like that he didn't throw the first punch, but he would definitely never let himself be beaten.
As he walked towards the main hall, he saw his sister staring doe eyed at a handsome man with golden hair. A small golden crown with sapphires and rubies embedded onto it's curve sat upon his head.
Won mumbled, "The second prince... I heard Rebecca was courting him, and it wasn't supposed to be that hard considered his Playboy style, but to actually bring him home."
Won then shook his head disregarding the two and entering the hall.
As he gazed through the marble room, upon a set stone throne a old man and woman sat.
Many others stood to the sides, each whispering to one another.
Gazing past the group. He looked at the old man and slightly bowed his head neither in respect or haughtiness.
The woman frowned slightly.
The old man said, "Won we have something to tell you today."
Won smiled amicably and asked, "No charade of debate today? How saddening, I always like our shows of face and not."
A knight stamped the spear in his hand down and shouted, "Impudent!"
Won tilted his head, "Really... I suppose it is. Why don't you kill me?"
The knight staggered.
Won laughed, "Haha. Well I suppose that's where the conversation ends does it not? Yet sir knight Briggs aren't you being too flashy? I understand you have been trying your best to secure a increase in nobility from a knight to a lord, but really do you not know the line show not tell. Instead of these fancy outbursts may I suggest going into Death forest just ahead and forging a name for yourself, or better yet find a lord and marry his daughter and kill him then. It's much quicker."
The whispers increased.
The old man snorted and everyone quieted down.
He then looked at Won and said, "Pack your things you are being exiled."
Won was stunned for a short while, his eyes slanting into dagger like slits and redness filled his vision.
Yet a second later that dissapeared and with a smile Won asked, "Hm. Why so? Wait let me guess. Hm... You stole or manipulated the crown and got caught! No, no you are much smarter than that. Hm, I know, you must have forced a girl to sleep with you who turned out to be royalty. No, your libido considering many things is practically non existent."
The woman next to her exclaimed as her face darkened, "Enough!"
Won didn't respond and instead a glow appeared into his eyes.
"I know... Hehe. It's a rather old law, that practically has no use considered the circumstances."
The old man rose up and shouted, "Shut up!"
Won as if amused laughed, "A viscount or the child of a viscount is unable to marry or bear the child of a Royal. If found accused the family is to be stripped of their title, their land taken, the men made into slaves and the women whores. What a law! Made originally when the inner Nobility of count and above allowed the outer nobility Viscount title to enter the royal academies. A large amount of viscounts courted the royals which caused chaos. After all viscount is the highest title a commoner can gain, but inner Nobility is always related to royalty. As viscount blood mixed with the royal blood, and the viscount status was in a state of limbo the king of the time made this law. Now it's rare for a royal to even leave the palace so it's basically forgotten, but still enforced. I guess Rebecca must be... haha."
The old man rushed with deep strides to Won's side and slapped him.
Won simply continued laughing.
Won even placed his hand on the old man's shoulder, "What do you know dad, the son you were so ashamed of and was scared would ruin your reputation is actually your lease on life, and the daughter of your wife - Your precious, all important daughter is actually the one who is gutting you. Hahaha! That's too funny. Oh my god, I think I'm going to die!"
Turning around Won thought it over and said, "It's not going to be cheap. After all even if you force the blame on me, the darkness in the heart of a human will fester and the royalty will most definitely not like that considered the northern practices which are being preached recently to remove nobility and royalty."
The old man said grimly, "What do you want."
Won looked back smiling, "Simple divorce that bitch and take my mother as your wife. Then go to her funeral plot for 81 days lighting three incenses each time and burning over a million Rupees of paper money, and do three kneelings and nine kowtows. After you've completed that I'll admit it and leave."
The woman in the back stood up and her face became scarlet, gulping in fear and shock she screamed, "Impossible! Tell him Oliver!"
Yet the old man went into deep thought. Sighing he said, "Very well. Prepare the procedures."
The old man looked at Won and said, "I have never treated your mother unfairly."
Won turned to walk away and said, "Your mere existence was a unfairness to my mother. What would have been better is I shamed and humiliated you, then killing you. Yet... you are still my father. This much is most I could allow with these horrible feelings of being your son."
Walking away Won dissapeared into the darkness.
...
The old man looked at the retreating figure and for some reason felt his aged heart twitch in pain as sour bile rose to his mouth. He seemed to age evermore, as regret took on his face.
After being the head of a noble family for so long this was perhaps the only time he truly reminded himself how he had ruined his life.
The old man looked up and said, "Laura our son truly is a very foolish boy like you said. I'd rather he hate me than tell me things like that. Perhaps if I wasn't nobility... no if perhaps I was not stupid and left with you when we were young, we three could have lived a comfortable and warm life. I truly have many, too many regrets."
...
Waking up Won looked around and darkness only disillusioned by the bright moonlight surrounded him.
Rubbing his frozen face and finding the flint he had with him he quickly started a fire.
Won groaned, "Damn this cold wind it's killing me, and worse yet I got to shit and it's dark out."
Won took out a pen sized object and said, "This is my last instant comfort. I hate my life!"
Poking himself with that pen the feeling of stuffiness in his bottom half dissapeared.
Right after the poop magically dissapeared Won heard the clacking of hooves against the ground and could faintly see a pale orange glow.
Hurriedly stamping out the fire and then scattering it with a kick, he went into a cave a bit away.
Lurking at a secret hole at the top of the entrance to the cave his head dropped down and he stared at the one's who just arrived.
Four knights and two robed people.
The four knights had eagle like vision and looked around not finding anything out of the ordinary looked back at the two robed people.
The two robed people wore a cream white robe with gold edges. One removed the cowl and a beautiful green haired girl with a tan and short hair said, "He's close."
A knight with spiked blonde hair said, "Miss Edna are you sure. We've been tracking a horseless fallen noble yet have made no significant headway."
The girls eyes became sharp and she said, "I never kid with an experimental subject."
The other hooded figure said, "Edna don't be so cold. We needed a human subject and this empire just handed one to us, we should be grateful. Typically we'd have to go to the deepest edges of the continent to get some neanderthals, otherwise the Magic enforcement officers would chase after us. Now we've got a disgraced noble! Even better we are being paid by his own family to take him away!"
Edna said, "Connor, I'm just agitated! We've been chasing a magicless brat and have still yet to catch up to him."
The Hooded figure added, "It's not really our fault is it? How could we know that brat was so wily. Remember how he splattered blood all over his last location and we got hunted by those goblins? Plus your tracking magic has increased in proficiency so it's all good."
Edna hit her thigh in frustration and exclaimed, "He's just a mortal while we a future gods!"
The hooded figure seemed to become angry at Edna's constant frustration even though he explained properly. Snorting he explained, "God? Don't think about it Edna. Countless more talented Mages have failed to rise to the firmament and mark their names in existence. Don't be so arrogant! Honestly this is why I hate when master takes new disciples, they are always so arrogant and end up making more and more trouble for me! One bastard went and harassed the daughter of a Arch Mage and master nearly died! I had to hide for a hundred years in some shitty swamp!"
Edna bit her lip.
The Hooded figure continued, "We do not even possess a soul beast! Honestly stop being so arrogant, it's pissing me off!"
The hooded figure sighed and patted the head of Edna and said, "I'm sorry. Don't worry I have a tool to catch him."
Edna continued to pout.
The hooded pulled her close and gave her a kiss on her cheek, "Hey, I promise I'll make it up to you. Anything you want. So c'mon give me a kiss."
Edna's cheeks lit ablaze and she looked at the hooded figure and gave a fast peck.
Won complained in his heart, "Hey, hey, hey can you keep a theme. How did this go from horror, to comedy, to drama, to romance!"
Laughing the hooded figure took out a small oil lamp with green carvings on the side. Then taking a pouch with blood in it and pouring it in the lamp. He finally lit it ablaze with his finger.
A green smoke floated to the sky and began to float towards the cave.
Gulping Won took out a small knife and hid it in his sleeve.
The hooded figure smiled within his cowl and said, "Come out Ro families, Won."
Silence.
The hooded figure laughed, "Hey c'mon. I know you are there. I could just as easily leak poison or smoke and force you to come out. So be nice and come out."
Won came out of the cave, yet his robes had been cut to look like some commoners clothing.
With a stupid look on his face he said, "Heya mister. I don't know about Won or nothin, ma name's Lupus."
The hooded man chuckled in response, "Hey don't lie the blood of your father is responding to you! Don't think you can get out of this by lying."
Won shrugged his shoulders and said, "Don't naw what ta tell ya fella. Oh, but supposedly I was the child of ma mother and some nice looking fella a few years ago. Maybe that fella was related to who ya looking for. Well misters I gotta lot of work tommorow, so I best be going."
The hooded man wanted to reply, but was left speechless. They hadn't really gotten a photo of the person they were looking for just a description, and concerning nobles and their routines it wasn't rare to see their seeds planted everywhere. Could it be they were really mistaken... Furthermore this persons clothes look shabby unlike a nobles. Doubt was like a ravenous beast that never let you go once caught. Furthermore although he had confidence in Edna, tracking spells especially by new mages wasn't exactly hundred percent.
Won not allowing another moment to pass began to walk at a calm and reasonable pace. Yet inside he was anything but...
He even added a stupid whistle to make the scene all the more realistic.
Yet before he could walk very far a bolt of fire flew past his head.
Won's eyes made a huge circle as his heart raced. His mouth became dry, and his palms sweaty.
Without turning around he instead continued to walk a little and then first chance he got he dove into the valley.
Won screamed, "Damn it! Damn it! You shitty brain was this really the only option you could come up with fucking sinking! Argh, If I reincarnate as the son of a god I'll make you fucking work like a dog!"
Looking up as if trying to say goodbye to the world he was stunned as Edna and the other hooded figure dove down in chase.
Make a aerodynamic shape he swam deeper to the recesses of the valley.
Turning his head around he barked, "Which bastard was it? Who threw that fireball! Was it you Egotistical Edna! Or was it you Kinky Connor? If I'm reincarnated as the son of god I'll make you have a shitty romance! You two will love each other as children, distance as teens, meet again as adults but you can never tell each other how you feel!"
Finally Won seemed to hit some springy like substance and was popped into the sky again.
He looked down and saw some black goop like substance covering the bottom.
Sighing as Edna and Connor got closer he held his hands up and said, "I give up."
Edna snarled, "Bastard now you know!"
She approached him and was about to snap a collar around his neck when a cold feeling rushed from her gut.
Connor thought against some magicless punk who was at a dead end there would be no problem.
Yet as he saw the knife in Edna's stomach and the blood falling down he shivered in shock and gloom.
Yet it didn't stop there. Using Edna's body like a shield Won pushed her forward towards Connor.
As soon as he got close enough he threw Edna's body onto Connor and then began to slice at him.
Connor became colored in a brown color and the knife made a dull sound as it slammed against him.
As soon as the brown color fell Connor shot a red colored fist at Won.
Twisting his body Won made a stabbing action.
Connor instead of his body, his hand turned a deep brown and he caught the knife firmly. He then geared up for a terrifying punch, but just then a horrible a pain filled him.
He looked down and saw a leg on his special place.
Crouching to the ground from the horrible pain, he didn't even have a moment to ease himself as a knife was stabbed into his eye and twisted.
Then a knife pierced his throat.
Pulling out the knife Won wiped it on Conner's clothes. He then went to the dying Edna and stabbed her in the neck.
Sighing profusely Won looked over the two corpses. After thinking for a bit he went closer and took out their rings and pouches.
Smiling and patting himself Won looked around curiously.
This black goop below was rather interesting so Won reached down and tried to scratch a bit to smell.
Strangely Won smelt the thick scent of blood, yet it was as if a hundred buckets of blood altogether.
He looked at this black goop and wondered whether it could be coagulated blood, but he wondered how that could be possible considered as far as he could see this black substance spread and it seemed was rather sizable. It wasn't something a normal being could in his opinion fill with and thus it could only possibly be some great monster, furthermore the fact the blood is still in a coagulated phase and not decomposed was important, so another question if this supposedly great monster indeed died, why did it die and why here in some random valley.
Leaving his thoughts aside he began to climb the valley up.
It was rather easy considered the rocks were all splintered yet hard like steel making a perfect ladder for Won.
Finally making it to the top Won took a fresh breath of air.
Yet as soon as be did he felt something fall into him. As he struggled to look up he saw the knight Briggs with a victorious smile on his face.
A deep and heavy punch landed on Won's stomach.
Won cackled in laughter, "Well I shouldn't really be suprised. How's the family Briggs?"
Briggs replied with a bright smile, "Fine, sir Won."
Won sighed, "Is that so... Good, it means they are still alive for me to ruin. Hehe."
Briggs continued smiling and said, "Truly a dying man may be misunderstood as a strong man. Sir Won would you like me to tell you why you are here?"
Won shook his hand and said, "Nope. Really it's not like that will save me now will it."
Briggs not minding added, "You are scum from the vile trenches of a whores attempt at heaven. Hehe. Your first mistake was living, your second was having desire, and the final one was attacking the madam."
Won's eyes became cold and he roared, "You little bastard what did you say?"
Briggs laughed, "Yet you survived by the allowance of your family, yet you dared forsake that. My, my how ungrateful."
Won clawed at Briggs arms with his nails causing long cuts to stretch. Blood flew as pain assaulted Briggs who punched Won in the head.
"You little bastard! Well it dosent matter where you're going is somewhere you will beg for death. Want to know what it's called? The Grim Reapers Graveyard. Hahahah!"
