Saeyoung finally put the picture away in a box he thought he was still thinking about the old times. Maybe one day he and yoosung would recover, but until that far away day he would just support yoosung from a distance. Yoosung was laying wide awake in his bed staring at the ceiling. He couldn't sleep for whatever reason, he was just wide awake but it was only 9:30pm so maybe he didn't need to go to bed yet. Yoosung let out a sigh and was heading downstairs to the kitchen when he got in the kitchen he saw ms.kim saeyoung's mother in the kitchen sobbing, "oh sorry am i interrupting something?" yoosung asked standing in the doorway of the kitchen "did i wake i'm sorry sweetie," mrs.kim said through sniffles yoosung shook his head slightly feeling slightly embarrassed. "No i had homework i forgot to and came to get water," he said shyly mrs.kim couldn't stop the tears from flowing out the tears which made yoosung feel worse when an idea came into yoosung's mom's head "ah yoosung have you talk to saeyoung lately?" she asked when yoosung completely blanked he realized he never told his mom that him and saeyoung fell out a long time ago "me and saeyoung? We haven't talked since middle." yoosung admitted looking at the floor he when he glanced up to see his mother was glaring at him burning holes in his soul, now was probably not the best time to admit to his mother that he hasn't talk to trust fund kid since middle while trustfund's mother was sitting in their kitchen bawling her eyes out. Yoosung just turned away slowly and went back up stairs and started to do some studying as he sat at his desk he was studying, thinking about saeyoung even just really pissed yoosung there are always two sides to every story. When yoosung was younger he skipped a grade or two but he hated it, he never had any friends because he was mainly bullied about his size. Until stephanie and saeyoung they were kind to yoosung until someone spread the word yoosung skipped grade because of his intelligence levels, but that didn't affect his friendship with the two it just changed the way they treated him. Instead of treating him like your average third grader that was just a year younger than them with light and casual teasing, they started treating him like a two year old to the point it was quite embarrassing to yoosung and though he cave and told them he didn't appreciate it at all saeyoung stopped but stephanie didn't. But yoosung ended up putting up with them and though it could've been better off finishing going ahead to fifth grade, he just didn't want to be alone again so he stayed with them. However yoosung started to regret this decision as saeyoung became quite annoying to yoosung, though saeyoung was older than yoosung saeyoung just always seemed like a younger brother to yoosung. Saeyoung practically became yoosung's shadow until middle school where he basically outdid yoosung in everything except academics, saeyoung was still an impressionable child and because of this he thought that this would make yoosung finally notice how hard he had been trying to impress the younger. Sadly that wasn't the case because yoosung played it off as if he didn't care, no matter how cool yoosung seemed to saeyoung or how hard yoosung's pushed him to study and be mature he was still a kid. From a young age yoosung emotions were pushed to the side his parents wanted him to do the best in school so he could have a good job and most of the other kids around him were average children whose parents accepted them as just children. Never enough, always too childish or too mature and saeyoung was just the final straw, saeyoung didn't understand what was yoosung's problem. Saeyoung tried to tell yoosung all about how he wanted to volleyball with they were gonna be the best men's volleyball duo in south korea and win tons of golds medals, instead yoosung got angry throwing a volleyball at saeyoung's head and gave him an ear full about how stupid and unrealistic any of it was. Storming off the volleyball court and out the gym, and the next year they fell out. In highschool yoosung had completely given up everything his parents weren't happen with him he had 'completely gone off the rails' though he played volleyball, is part of the student council, amd had all a's in his classes that wasn't enough, he wasn't getting an 100% on everything he did he was embarrassing them because that wasn't how they raised him. He couldn't care less about what his parents thought, the only person that kept yoosung going in the past was stephanie but now he had jisung. He now wanted to study amazing volleyball so that he could take care of jisung when they are older, she honestly meant a lot more to him than he could ever express to him. Though yoosung could write a book about his brother he chose not to focus on too many negatives in his life, he accepted the fact volleyball was just a club and he shouldn't get his hopes up too high or anything as a matter of fact. But now that yoosung is in highschool the only thing he really knows about his brother is that he's a law student graduating next year. But that didn't matter all that mattered to yoosung was taking care of jisung and his family when he was older, though yoosung is not very expressive jisung means a lot to him and he hopes one day he can find a way to let jisung know how much he means to her. Yoosung sat at his desk letting his thoughts take over for a bit before getting back to studying then sometime later yoosung was taking a break blocking out the background noise and letting his mind take over when his brain started to make a puzzle of memories and at first yoosung didn't understand it. until one certain memory popped up in his head of when stephanie was still alive and yoosung was sitting at his desk reading, when a stephanie came up to him yoosung couldn't remember what she was saying so in his mind her mouth was just moving. Yoosung attempted to shake it off because it was probably a bad memory he had of stephanie and didn't want to think or speak ill of the dead, but then he was thinking of stephanie because jisung wanted to know more about her. So yoosung thought about what to tell jisung and this memory had popped up in his head a million times but it was silent he couldn't figure out what she was saying, but maybe it was a useless memory that wouldn't help yoosung tell jisung about stephanie. As Yoosung thought back on Stephanie while she was alive he realized she isn't the kind and caring person that everyone makes her out to be. She was actually quite a bad person, there probably wasn't even one good thing that yoosung could think of to say that she was a good person besides the average lies people tell to make her seem like an angel. She was toxic, always spreading rumors and lies about people, especially if you were 'in her way' she was very manipulative, sending manipulative words to people for them to do what she wanted. She also constantly blackmailing teacher, she was mean and rude stephanie constantly made fun of yoosung for being younger and shorter than her and when he said he didn't like those jokes or her words hurt his feeling she would burst into tears saying he made her feel like a bad person so yoosung gave up. He just accepted or ignored what stephanie had to say and stephanie would often use yoosung for academic things like test and homework, but she mainly dumped all of her biggest problems on yoosung making them constantly bring him and his mental health down. If he ever tried to get away from her she threatened to tell the whole school about his brother or parents financial struggle. He felt helpless. Yoosung was tired and could barely keep up with stephanie so when she passed away, a big weight had been lifted off his shoulders to keep going with Stephanie. He had pretended she was a good person, he was delusional. When jisung came around people bullied her not because they liked stephanie, because she looked so much like stephanie but she was helpless too scared to get in trouble. They hated her, this was a way for everyone who had ever suffered because of stephanie to get back at stephanie, this was the only way to make her pay for all the suffering she caused people. Until people started to see jisung for jisung and realized stephanie is gone she can't make anyone suffer, and that jisung is jisung not stephanie. That they were just hurting someone like stephanie did, realizing that somewhere in some universe, dimension place that stephanie is paying for what's she's done and that they need to let go of their hatred for stephanie
