After the shower I run and throw Liams still damp shirt into the dryer and run into my closet to get myself dressed. I feel his eyes on me through my reflection in the mirror on the closet door. So I slowly shimmy my pants up giving him a show and think I hear a slight growl as he mumbles something under his breath.
Willow: So what did Tom have to say. Is everything alright?
The silence causes a chill as I throw on my shirt and turn to look at his reflection through the mirror. His hand runs through his hair down the back of his neck as he lets out a long breath. I toss in my socks and stand at the door way of the closet.
Liam sits at the edge of the bed sliding on his shoes. Keeping his head down like he didn't hear me.
Willow: Liam?
When he looks up at me with his lost blues, I feel the fluttering of anxiety creeping through my gut telling me something is wrong. Needing to feel his warmth possibly for the last time I walk to him and stand between his legs running my hands through his hair.
Willow: Is that a look of the jobs over time to say goodbye.
I ask playfully yet dreading for an answer.
He wraps his arms around my back pulling me tightly into him kissing my abdomen through my shirt. He rests his head where he left his kiss.
Liam: Even if the job were over. This would not be! You are mine Willow Grayson.
Excitement and reassurance runs through me at the words of his claim. But dissipates quickly at the still look of worry in his eyes. I smile faintly kissing the top of his forehead as he tilts his head up.
Willow: The jobs not over is it?
Liam nods.
Willow: It's David isn't it?
He stands taking my face in his hands.
Liam: last night Erik and Nick escorted David onto a plane for New York and watched it take off. This morning your dads guys reported that David never arrived. The boarded the same plane that he was on but he wasn't there.
Panic sets, taking over my shaking body. Liam holds onto me tighter and some how in his strong arms I begin to calm.
Willow: Does anyone know where he is.
Liam: There was an un expected lay over in Iowa, I have guys there now.
Liam kisses my cheek wiping the run away tear I hadn't noticed slip. He holds my gaze with confidence.
Liam: We will find him, and no matter what...I will keep you safe.
